먼저 개인 신상이 있어 추후 본문은 삭제할 수 있습니다. 또한, 사설이 깁니다. 제 개인사에 흥미 없으신 분들은 아래 질문만 읽어주셔도 감사하겠습니다. ======== 현재 28살 서울 중상위 대학 졸업 예정인 경제학과 학생입니다. 학점은 4.0/4.5정도 되고, 2티어 컨설팅 펌에서 인턴을 했습니다. 직장생활을 제대로 해본 것도 아니면서 다소 건방질지 모르겠지만, 컨설팅펌 업무와 클라이언트 업무를 보며 이 일을 오래할 수 있을까 싶은 마음이 들었습니다. (현업 담당자와 업무를 같이 진행하며 소통할 기회가 잦았습니다) 나름 칭찬받으면서 일해도 그러한 기분이 떨쳐지질 않더군요.. 일하면서 천천히 생각해보니 예전에 군 전역하고 생활코딩을 보며 공부했던 때가 가장 즐거웠던 걸 떠올렸습니다. 재밌는 일은 취미로 하라..는 말이 있는 만큼, 그리고 순간의 열정으로 잘못 길을 들지 않도록 나름대로 기준을 정해서 공부를 시작했습니다. 인턴이 끝날때까지 생활코딩 모든 강의를 수강+실습하는 것이었는데, 그럭저럭 완료할 수 있었습니다. 당연히 '생활'코딩인 만큼 전문적인 수준은 아니겠지만 개발자의 길을 가고 싶다는 생각이 들었습니다. (정확히 어떤 개발자가 되고 싶냐는 아직 잘 모르겠습니다) 다만 그냥 코드몽키가 아닌 정말 엔지니어가 되고 싶은 만큼 공부를 깊이 하고자 합니다. 그래서 나름 고민해서 도달한 선택지가 아래와 같습니다. 1. 졸업을 미루고 초과학기를 다녀 컴공 복수전공 -->이 경우 나름 이름있는 학교인만큼 커리큘럼 및 학우 수준 보장, 팀 프로젝트 수행 가능 다만, 등록금 부담 및 최소 3학기를 더 다녀야 해서 그동안 다른 곳에 취업 불가 2. 학교 졸업하고 국비 학원(취업 후 방통대 컴퓨터과학과 진학 예정) -->이 경우 학원 수업을 따라간다는 가정 하에 1.보다는 빠르게 실무를 접할 수 있고 졸업을 했으니 백업 플랜으로 다른 기업 지원도 가능 다만, 국비 출신인 만큼 직장의 질이 떨어질 수 있고 학원은 훑고 지나가는 경우가 많아 기초가 부족한 상태가 됨 3. 학교 졸업하고 부트캠프 -->이 경우 수업을 따라간다는 가정 하에 1.보다는 빠르게 실무 접할 수 있고 백업 플랜도 있음. 직장의 질은 미지수..(잘 모름) 다만, 유명 부트캠프는 비용이 등록금 이상으로 부담이 있음 4. 학교 졸업하고 독학(인프런, Udemy, 코세라 등 활용) + 방통대 진학 -->비용이 들지 않으며 시간 활용이 비교적 자유로움. 다만, 개인 통제가 엄격해야 하며 내 실력을 증명하기 위해서 2,3보다 더 많은 노력이 요구됨. 이 정도를 생각했는데, 현업에서 어떻게 취준생을 보고 있는 지 몰라서 추측과 망상(?)이 많이 들어가 있습니다. 혹여 기분나쁘신 지점이 있으시다면 무지에 의한 것이니 양해 바랍니다. 조금 시간을 내주셔서 조언 한마디 해주시면 감사하겠습니다. 맞추거나 사용자 비위를 맞춰야 하는데
컨설팅펌이 안맞으면 b2c로 가야죠...
가능하면 스타트업은 피하시고 큰회사 공채를
찾아서 지원하세요. 매번 이야기 하지만
공부하겠다고 공채 응시를 미루지 말고
병행하던가 아니면 공채를 우선으로 하세요.
