오버워치 리그 2019 스테이지 3가 종료된 이후, 2/2/2고정이 공식적으로 발표된 후 몇 가지 예상들이 있었고, 그 중 맞은 것도 있지만, 틀린 것도 있었네요. 대략 절반 정도를 지나온 만큼, 2/2/2고정의 과도기가 서서히 끝나고 이제 몇 가지 주류 조합들이 생겨나고 있는데, 한 번 이야기해보고자 합니다. 1. 예상하지 못한 메이/리퍼의 강세 최근 33조합을 억제하기 위해 기존 33을 이루던 주요 탱커들에 대한 너프가 지속적으로 이루어진 만큼, 2/2/2를 실시한다면, 기존 주류 탱커조합이었던 라자와 윈디가 약세를 보이고, 따라서 2탱커는 오리사 호그 조합이 주류가 될 것으로 예측되었습니다. 오리사 호그(이하 오호) 조합이 대세가 되면서 사람들은 작년 플레이오프를 생각하며 2스나(위도우메이커+한조) 조합이 대세가 될 것으로 보았으나, 그보다 메이 리퍼 조합이 확연한 강세를 지니고 있는 점이 눈에 띕니다. 메이 리퍼가 대세 조합이 된 이유에는 첫 번째로 숙련된 오호 조합을 상대하면서 꼼짝마+갈고리 콤보에 아예 걸리지 않기란 불가능한데, 이 때 메이의 빙벽이 갈고리에 끌려들어간 아군을 세이브할 수 있을 뿐더러, 본인이 잡히더라도 급속 빙결이라는 스킬을 사용해서 1턴 생존이 가능하다 보니 강한 힘을 발휘했다는 점, 특히 리퍼의 그림자밟기가 상향되면서 오호 조합의 뒤를 계속적으로 파면서도 망령화를 통해 생존이 가능해지면서 근거리전에 강력한 힘을 보인다는 점이 그 원인이라고 생각합니다. 이는 특히 쟁탈전에서 돋보이는데, 일리오스 등대, 리장 타워 정원과 같은 좁은 전장에서 인파이팅의 힘이 돋보임에 따라 메이리퍼 조합의 힘이 강해졌고, 특히 오호 조합이 버티기에 특화된 만큼 쟁탈 전장을 한 번 점거하면 50%정도는 버틸 수 있습니다. 라자, 윈디의 시프트와 e스킬은 공격과 케어에 집중되어 있는 반면 오호 조합에서는 버티기에 관련된 스킬이 3개나 있습니다. (단단해지기, 방벽, 숨돌리기) 마찬가지로 딜러조합에서도 겐트나 2스나, 둠파 등에 비해 메이 리퍼의 경우 버티기에 관련된 스킬이 3개(망령화, 빙벽, 급속빙결)나 있다 보니 쟁탈전에서 한번 오호+메이리퍼+바티스트 조합이 거점을 빼앗게 되면 한타에서 패배하더라도 인원 정리가 잘 되지 않을 뿐더러 계속적으로 스킬을 돌아가면서 사용하니까 비비기가 용이합니다. 특히 99%까지 채우겠다고 생각하면 오리사가 레킹볼로 바꿔와 거점에 빠르게 합류해 버리면 한타 패배 이후에도 지속적으로 인원이 투입되면서 빼앗기가 어렵죠. 기존 33이 궁극기 사이클이 한 번 돌 때마다 6명씩 갈리면서 대략 한 번의 한타 때마다 30%정도 거점 게이지가 올라간다고 하면, 메이 리퍼는 50%정도는 되어 보이네요. 보는 맛은 33이 너무 오랫동안 지속되어 그 자체로 신선하긴 한데, 한타의 변수가 에임보다는 빙벽 잘라먹기와 불사장치 타이밍, 갈고리 성공률, 꼼짝마 등으로만 구성되어 계속 이 방향으로 진행되면 조금 질릴 것 같기는 합니다. 정확히는 한타 직전 궁극기 상황을 봐도 한타가 어떻게 끝날지 예측하는 게 힘들고, 계속해서 주의를 기울여야 해서 거의 킬로그 보는 게임이 되는 느낌도 듭니다. 33의 경우에는 자탄 쓰기 직전의 자리야처럼 경기의 템포라는 게 예측이 가능해서 이해하기는 쉬웠거든요. 예전에 피셔 선수가 개인 방송에서 전략의 유불리를 알기 위해서는 먼저 "이 조합이 대치하는 조합이냐, 아니면 들어가는 조합이냐"를 알아야 한다고 했는데, 예컨대 33의 경우 들어가는 조합이지요. 반면 오리사 호그 조합은 대치 쪽에 가깝긴 한데, 거점처럼 반드시 그 쪽으로 끌려 들어오는 상황에서는 계속 두들겨 맞으면서도 인파이팅에서 정말 강하다는 느낌을 줘서 라자와 윈디의 버프가 있지 않는 한 계속적인 대세 픽이 될 것 같긴 하네요.  2. 생각보다 약한 솜브라/파라 한편 스테이지 3 당시 주류픽으로 올라선 솜브라/파라는 생각보다 한타 승률이 높지 않았습니다. 솜브라가 주류 픽으로 올라선 데에는 EMP라는 궁의 사기성도 있지만, 상대가 33으로 구성되어 궁 수급이 굉장히 빨랐다는 점에 있는데요. 오호+메이리퍼 조합처럼 상대가 방벽이 많아지자 궁 수급이 자연스럽게 느려졌고, 대치를 통해 얻는 이득의 양이 빠르게 줄어들었습니다. 제가 새벽 경기를 제외하곤 거의 모든 경기를 챙겨보는 편인데, 솜브라를 사용했을 때 그 경기가 최종적으로 이기는 숫자가 많지 않습니다. 또한 파라의 경우, 33 체제하에서는 사실상 큰 견제 없이 일방적으로 때릴 수 있었고, 그로 인해 스테이지 3 플레이오프 우승에서 결정적인 기여를 하기도 했습니다만 현재까지 한타 승률이 높다고 보여지진 않습니다. 물론 몇몇 파라가 유리한 전장이 있는 것은 사실입니다. 그런데 파라의 경우 천장이 낮은 곳에서는 사용이 힘들다는 치명적인 단점이 있고, 또한 기동성이 좋은 반면 메르시가 따라다녀야 하기 때문에 탱커진에게 공급되는 힐량이 급속도로 낮아진다는 단점도 있죠. 현재 리그 최고의 파라는 단연 상하이 드래곤즈의 띵이라고 할 수 있는데, 파라의 생존성과 궁수급, 킬캐치 능력에서 리그 최고임에도 불구하고 현재 1승 2패를 기록 중입니다. 물론 이것이 꼭 띵 혼자만의 책임은 아니지만, 세최파를 보유했기 때문에 포기하기 힘들겠지만 현재 파라가 답이 없는 전장이 몇 있다는 점은 사실입니다. 예를 들어 상하이 드래곤즈-토론토 디파이언트 경기를 보면, 파라가 강력한 전장들을 이용해서 쟁탈전을 가지고 왔지만, 2세트 볼스카야에서는 그렇게 빨리 1거점을 밀고도 2거점을 6분 동안 먹지도 못했고, 3세트 할리우드에서는 2거점까지는 빨리 밀었지만 마지막 3거점에서 5분여를 답도 없이 소모해야만 했죠. 상하이는 현재 리그 최강의 파라, 최상급 위도우, 최상급 둠피스트를 갖고 있는데도 이 중 둘만 사용해야 한다는 제약 때문에 계속 어느 한 쪽에 구멍이 있는 상태입니다. 겐트의 경우 불사장치로 인한 트레이서 킬캐치의 한계. 겐지 용검 수급이 어렵다는 문제로 승률이 높지 않고, 위한의 경우 직선 구간이 긴 맵에서 주류 픽으로 활용되고 있습니다. 맥크리는 나쁜 영웅은 아니지만 위도우에 비해 상대적으로 밀린다는 단점과, 메이리퍼에 비해 섬광이 빗나갈 경우 생존이 어렵다는 단점이 있는 것으로 보입니다. 솔저는... 그런 영웅이 있었나요? 튜토리얼용 캐릭인 것 같은데... 개인적으로 아쉬운 영웅은 애쉬입니다. 저는 애쉬의 스킬들이 꽤 샷건이라는 특성에 맞게 잘 구성되었다고 생각하는데 현재는 애매한 위치로 아예 쓰이지가 않죠. 리그가 좀 더 재미있어지기 위해서는 파라나 애쉬, 트레이서, 겐지, 둠피스트 같은, 숙련도에 따라 점점 더 스타일리쉬해질 수 있는 영웅에 힘을 실어줘야 한다고 생각합니다. 3. 쟁탈전 승률과 전체 승률의 괴리 한편 이번 스테이지 4에서는 흥미로운 현상이 하나 있었는데, 쟁탈전과 나머지 화물, 거점, 화물+거점 전장 간에 팀간 승률이 크게 차이난다는 점입니다. 정확히 말하면 쟁탈전을 이긴 팀이 팀합이 좋고, 에임이 좋은 것이라면 나머지 전장에서도 더 높은 승률을 가져가야 함에도 그렇지 못하다는 것이었죠. 현재까지 스테이지 4 경기가 총 32경기가 치뤄졌는데, 이 중 쟁탈전을 이기고도 나머지 3세트에서 진 팀이 11경기, 즉 1세트를 이긴 팀의 전체 승률이 65%밖에 되지 않습니다. 심지어 나머지 21경기 중 4경기는 1세트를 따낸 뒤 나머지 3개 세트 중 하나를 더 따내서 타이브레이커(쟁탈)에서 이긴 케이스구요. 1세트 쟁탈전을 이긴 팀이 나머지 세트에서 몇 세트를 따냈는지 비율을 보면 나머지 3세트에서의 승률이 높은 편이 아닙니다. 이는 특히 33이 가장 맹위를 떨치던 스테이지 2와 비교해 보면 더욱 확연한데요.  이건 제가 쟁탈전을 이긴 팀이 나머지 세트 중에 몇 세트를 가져가는지를 정리한 데이터인데, 스테이지 2의 경우 쟁탈전을 따내고 나머지 세트를 모두 진 케이스가 5%, 반면 쟁탈전을 이긴 팀이 나머지 세트를 다 가져간 경우가 38%나 되지만, 스테이지 4의 경우 쟁탈전을 이긴 팀이 나머지를 모두 진 케이스가 21%, 반대로 쟁탈전을 이긴 팀이 나머지 세트를 다 가져간 경우는 15%밖에 되지 않습니다. 위의 자료들을 좀만 더 부연하면, 스테이지 2의 경우 1세트를 이긴 팀의 2, 3, 4세트 승률은 67%에 달하지만, 스테이지 4의 경우 1세트를 이긴 팀의 2, 3, 4세트 승률은 48%밖에 되지 않는 것이죠. 어떻게 보면 1세트를 이겼다는 사실이 2-4세트의 승률에 전혀 영향이 없다는 것을 의미합니다. 스테이지 3의 경우 1세트의 승률이 2-4세트와 반대로 가는 경우가 정확히 하나였는데, 그것은 딜러조합을 사용하는 팀이 쟁탈을 가져오지만 화물에서는 힘을 쓰지 못하는 케이스였지만 스테이지 4처럼 모두 2/2/2를 사용하는 팀들 간에 이렇게 1세트가 나머지 세트와 중립적으로 가는 현상은 특이한 일입니다. *계산법은 스테이지 2=(17+22*2+27*3)/210, 스테이지 4=(9+11*2+5*3)/96 비슷하게 이렇게 쟁탈전 승률이 튀다 보니 4-0경기가 많이 줄었는데, 스테이지 2와 스테이지 3의 경우 전체 70경기 중 4-0으로 끝난 경기가 38%, 34%인 반면 이번에는 15%로 떨어졌습니다. 확실히 승부의 추가 빨리 기울지 않고, 좀 더 집중력이 유지되는 경기가 늘었다고 볼 수 있습니다. 저도 오버워치 리그를 쭉 봐 온 사람이지만, 스테이지 2 때는 정말 보는 게 힘들었다는 느낌이었는데, 스테이지 4는 확실히 4세트까지 보는 맛이 늘었습니다.  개인적으로 이런 현상의 배경에는 쟁탈전에서 강한 조합≠나머지 세트에서 강한 조합 이기 때문이라고 보는데요. 쟁탈전에서 메이리퍼가 강세를 보이는 반면, 나머지 세트에서는 위한이나 둠파 등의 조합도 활용이 가능하기 때문이지요. 그래서 쟁탈전에서 먹혔던 조합을 계속 끌고 가다가 지는 일도 있고, 위한은 잘하지만 나머지 조합은 약한 팀들이 역전하는 상황이라고 생각되기도 합니다. 그리고 이제 많은 팀들이 이것을 이해하게 되면 곧 다시 정상화가 될 것이라고 생각하구요. 4. 궁극기 기반이 아닌 스킬위주 운용 과거 33의 경우 한타의 템포가 궁극기에 맞춰져 있었습니다. 아군 자탄과 적군 초월, 아군 자폭과 적군 비트가 서로 어떤 속도로 차오르느냐가 전체 한타의 승패를 결정했지요. 샌프란시스코 쇼크와 벤쿠버 타이탄즈가 33메타에서 최강팀으로 군림할 수 있었던 배경에는 시나트라와 서민수가 정말 빠르게 자탄을 수급했기 때문에 상대팀의 궁사이클이 그를 쫓아가지 못했기 때문입니다. 현재는 한타의 공격과 방어가 궁극기보다는 e, 시프트 스킬의 템포에 맞춰져 있는 느낌입니다. 특히 힐러진의 경우 더욱 확연한데, 젠야타의 초월이나 루시우의 비트보다는, 메르시의 부활이나 아나의 힐밴, 바티스트의 불사장치에 의해 한타가 결정적으로 움직이는 일이 많아졌습니다. 상대적으로 루시우의 너프가 더더욱 돋보이는 케이스이기도 하구요. 무엇보다 바티스트가 주류 픽으로 올라서면서 이런 면이 더 눈에 띄는 것 같기도 합니다. 템포가 빨라질수록 더더욱 옵저버가 중요해지는데, 아직까지는 리그의 옵저버가 게임의 흐름을 제대로 읽지는 못하는 것 같기도 합니다. 5. 총평 현재까지 2/2/2고정은 성공적입니다. 게임을 지루하게 만들었던 4-0경기가 급격히 줄었고, 조합도 과도기에 걸맞게 다양한 픽이 시도되고 있습니다. 전형적인 약팀이었던 플로리다 메이햄과 워싱턴 저스티스가 상승했고, 그동안 모습을 비추지 못하던 딜러 포지션 선수들이 나와 피지컬을 뽐내고 있습니다. 하지만 그동안 이루어졌던 3/3에 대한 칼질이 2/2/2의 다양성을 파괴하고 있습니다. 윈디는 루시우/모이라와 함께 운용되는 일이 많은데 원거리힐이 없다시피 하니 힘을 못 쓰고 있고, 아나/젠야타는 상대적으로 생존성이 취약합니다. 라자는 메이에게 취약하고 자탄 수급도 원활하지 않으며 무엇보다 대지분쇄가 빙벽이나 오리사 방벽 때문에 큰 효과가 없습니다. 결국 오호나, 레킹볼 디바 조합이 한계입니다. 시그마는 물론 성능이 나쁘지는 않지만 어울리는 메인탱 조합을 아직 찾지 못했고, 현재는 선택이 불가능하구요. 2/2/2는 게임의 템포를 좀 더 빠르게 변화시켰습니다. 주류 픽의 변경으로 궁극기가 한타에 미치는 영향력이 많이 줄어들었고, 딜러들의 순간순간 피지컬들이 게임을 터트리는 빈도가 늘었습니다. 또한 쿨이 20초, 30초씩 걸리는 스킬들이 게임에 미치는 영향력이 커졌습니다. 안타까운 점이라면 2/2/2메타에 들어와서 비로소 빛을 보기 시작한 팀들이 이미 너무 많은 승수를 까먹었기 때문에 리그 플레이오프에서 그들의 모습을 볼 수 없다는 점입니다. (스테이지 4 플레이오프는 없습니다) 로직스의 맥크리, 사야플레이어의 위도우, 코리의 위도우/한조 등은 너무 늦게 빛을 보았습니다. 현재 3승으로 스테이지 4 선두를 달리는 워싱턴은 플레이오프에서 멀어졌고 그나마 애틀랜타 레인, 광저우 차지, 청두 헌터스가 각각 10, 11, 12위로 플레이오프권에 턱걸이하고 있는상황입니다. 또한 스테이지 3 플레이오프에서 기존 메타의 종결을 선언했던 상하이 드래곤즈의 3딜 전략을 더 이상 볼 수 없다는 점도 아쉽구요. 마지막은 아쉬움을 달래며 플레이오프 상하이 하이라이트를 올리면서 마치겠습니다. 리그 뷰어가 발달하니 이런 장면도 나오네요. 확실히 33메타때보다는 리그가 많이 활성화 된 느낌입니다. 최악보다 차악을 선택했다는 댓글이 인상적이더라구요.. 그리고 메타가 바뀌면서 워싱턴 플로리다 같은 연패수렁에 빠져있던 하위권 팀들이 확실히 많이 이겨주는 모습도 좋았습니다. 특히 corey선수 플레이는 정말 보는맛이 있더라구요
