여기 홍차넷에서도 종종 광고글로 삭제되는 알바들을 보면, 학점은행제(이하, '학은제'로 호칭) 알바들이 꽤 보이더라구요. 그런데 저도 여기서 몇 달간 바이럴 알바를 해본 경험으로 말씀드리면, 이 분들이 이렇게 열심히 활동하는 이유가 있습니다. 그래서 학점은행제는 무엇이며, 왜 바이럴을 하는가? 에 대해 잠깐 써 보겠습니다. 1. 학점은행제란? 간단히 말해 [인강으로 대학 학위를 받는 방법]입니다. 그럼 몇 학점이 필요한가? 인강마다 3학점, 1학점 다양한데 전문대(2년제) 학위는 80학점, 4년제 학위는 140학점만큼의 인터넷 강의를 수강하면 학점은행제를 졸업했다는 이름으로 학위가 나옵니다. 그렇다고 헤르미온느처럼 한 학기만에 140학점을 듣거나 할 수는 없구요. 일반 대학처럼 학습자등록, 수강신청 등의 과정을 거쳐야 합니다. 2. 왜 하는가? 일단 일반적인 코스로 대학을 졸업한 많은 사람들은 잘 모르지만, 생각보다 학위가 필요한 일들이 이 세상에는 꽤 있고, 생각보다 학위가 없는 사람들이 이 세상에 꽤 있습니다. 제일 쉽게, 학위가 없는 사람들이 심리학과 대학원에 진학한다거나, 기사/산업기사 시험을 봐야 경력을 더 쳐준다거나, 편입을 준비하고 싶다거나, 조금 극단적이지만 3사관학교 등을 지원한다거나 하는 경우까지 학위가 필요합니다. 이 때 고등학교 졸업으로 바로 회사에 간 사람들은 이런 기사/산업기사부터 시작해서 나중에 사회복지사를 준비한다거나 간호대 진학을 준비하거나 할 때 학위가 필요한 경우가 있습니다. 이건 조금 있다가 설명... 3. 무엇이 유리한가? 일단 [학점]을 인터넷 강의를 들어도 되지만, 나머지 방법으로도 학점을 획득하여 4년제 학위를 2년 안에 딸 수 있다는 게 최대 장점입니다. 이전에 대학을 다니다가 자퇴했다거나, 전문대졸까지 했는데 대졸 학위가 필요하다거나 하면 이전 학점들을 [전적대 학점]이라는 이유로 학위에 반영할 수 있습니다. 예를 들면 전문대졸인 사람이 60학점 강의만 듣고 1년 안에 4년제 학위로 업그레이드가 되는겁니다. 물론 경영학을 전공했는데 공대를 전공하고 싶더거나 하는 경우 140학점 안에 전공60/교양30/일선50으로 구분이 되어 있는데 경영학 전공의 전문대 학점은 공대 전공의 일선으로만 채울 수 있어 80학점을 다 써먹지는 못할 수도 있습니다. 하지만 전공이 같다면 60학점만 채우면 돼죠. 비슷하게, 대학교에서도 검정고시 같은 개념으로 [독학사]라는 것이 있는데, 시험을 쳐서 합격하면 4년제 학위를 딴 것으로 쳐 주는 방식입니다. 그런데 독학사로 학위를 따려면 시험을 여러 개를 봐야 하는데, 그들 중 일부만 시험을 쳐도 그것을 각각 학점으로 인정해 줍니다. 그러니까 인터넷 강의로 학점을 24학점을 꽉 채워넣고, 동시에 독학사 시험까지 응시하면 시험당 4학점씩을 추가로 더 딸 수 있어 24학점보다 더 많은 학점을 1학기안에 채울 수 있는 겁니다. 독학사는 실제로 이론상으로는 1년안에 4년제를 딸 수 있게 해 주지만 3단계 이상부터는 어려워서, 1, 2단계 찍먹하고 학점만 추가하는 게 낫습니다. 더 재미있는 건 자격증도 대학교 학점에 반영해 준다는 겁니다. 경영학을 예로 들면 [텔레마케팅관리사]같은 시험들은 생각보다 준비기간이 짧은데, 그 시험을 쳐서 합격하면 경영학 전공 18학점을 인정해 줍니다. 자격증은 최대 3개(전공2개, 일반1개)까지 반영 가능한데 테셋이나 텔레마케팅관리사 같은 걸 따게 되면 36학점을 인정받기도 하죠. 벌써 2학기 만큼을 처리해 버린 셈입니다. 방통대 학점도 아마 인정을 해 줄 겁니다. 그래서 이론적으로(?) 아니면 현실적으로 4년제 학위를 따는 데 걸리는 시간은 2년~2년 반, 2년제 학위를 따는 데는 1년. 뭐 거의 광속으로 학위 창출이 가능합니다. 독학사까지 하게 되면 더 줄 수 있고, 전적대 학점이 있는 경우에는 또 더 기간이 줄게 됩니다. 4. 어떤 사람들이 하는가? 일단 제일 큰 시장은 기사/산업기사랑 편입입니다. 편입을 먼저 예로 들면, 사람들이 편입 준비만 알지 편입의 선결조건을 잘 모릅니다. 편입 중에 [학사편입]이 있는데, 4년제 학위를 딴 상태에서 타 학교 3학년으로 들어가는 겁니다. 그런데 이 학사편입이 생각보다 경쟁률이 낮습니다. 생각해 보세요. 개고생해서 4년 동안 학위 따고 누가 다시 3학년으로 가서 2년을 더 할까요? 그런데 학은제로 편입을 준비하면 2년 안에 4년제 학위를 딴 다음에 다시 3학년으로 들어가는 선택이 가능해지는 겁니다. 학사편입 경쟁률이 정말로 낮아서 쉽게 학벌세탁이 가능한데, 학은제로 그걸 하는 겁니다. 기사/산업기사도 비슷합니다. 기사 응시자격에는 연관전공 4년제 학위 or 4년만큼의 경력인가가 필요할 겁니다. 그런데 내가 고졸 직장인이라면 기사/산업기사를 응시하고 싶어도 응시자격이 안 되는 경우가 많습니다. 혹은 나중에 나이들어서 나무의사 같은 걸 응시하려고 해도, 조경 관련 학과를 나오지 않았거나 하는 경우가 있습니다. 이런 케이스에서 학은제로 전공을 변경할 수가 있습니다. 일단 경영학과가 (왜인지는 모르겠지만) 대다수의 공대 관련 기사시험 자격을 주고 있습니다. 두 번째로 내가 공대를 나왔는데 소방기사를 응시해야겠다, 하면 기존 학위를 가지고 다 학점은행제의 전적대로 바꾼 다음에 추가로 몇 학점만 더 들으면 기사 응시자격이 생기는 겁니다. 간호학전공을 예로 들면, 간호대도 2년제, 3년제, 4년제가 있는데 이것도 편입 시장이 꽤 활발합니다. 그래서 간호대를 지망하는 경우 학은제로 학위 딴 다음에 학사편입/일반편입 하는 케이스가 생깁니다. 또 심리대학원 진학을 할 때도, 내가 공대를 졸업했다거나 하는 케이스에서는 심리학과 대졸 전공을 1학기 안에 따버릴 수 있는 상황이 생기죠. 사회복지사 2급도 마찬가지입니다. 이것 말고도 사실 학위가 필요한 별 상황이 많습니다. 예를 들면 3사관학교, 전문대졸의 학위를 요구합니다. 고졸에 군대에 와 있는 상황이라 수업을 못 듣는 군인도, 그냥 사지방에서 인강 듣고 휴가 나가서 자격증 따고 오면 전문대졸 학위를 군대에서 만들어 나간 다음에 지원할 수 있습니다. AICPA라고, 미국용 CPA인데 미국 회계사 자격증만 따서 certificated 상태인데 한국 회계법인에 취업하는 bypass가 있습니다. 한국 CPA에 비해 난이도가 낮은 편인데, AICPA를 응시하려면 회계관련 22학점인가가 필요할 겁니다. 이것도 그냥 인강으로 처리해 버리는 케이스가 있습니다. 5. 그럼 왜 알바가 많은가? 일단 이 인강이라는 걸 이해해야 하는데, 이게 국가가 무슨 정식 기관을 만들어서 인강을 유통하는 게 아닙니다. [평생교육원]이라는 기관에 [위탁]하고 그 평생교육원에서 강의를 수강하면 3학점을 인정해 주는 겁니다. 그러니까 대학재단이 등록금을 받는 것처럼 평생교육원들끼리는 강의를 팔아서 돈을 버는 겁니다. 그런데 평생교육원의 강의라는 건 정가라는 게 없습니다. 그래서 정상적인 경쟁시장에서는 적당한 등록금으로 시장에 적절한 강의를 공급할 필요가 있습니다. 안 그러면 다른 평생교육원으로 이동할 테니까요. 그런데 여기에 [담합과 광고유도가 들어갑니다.] 싼 평생교육원을 찾아서 강의를 들으면 훨씬 싸게 학위를 획득할 수 있는데도, 학점은행제 바이럴 광고를 통해 높은 강의비를 지불하는 평생교육원으로 결제를 유도하고, 그 대가로 결제비용마다 바이럴 알바가 인센티브를 받아가는 겁니다. 바이럴 알바는 플래너라고 스스로를 부르고 있습니다. 그럼 금액은 얼마나 차이날까요. 제가 일했던 기간 기준으로 3학점에 7만 5천원짜리 강의를 팔았는데, 같은 전공을 메가평생교육원으로 하면 3학점에 3만원이었습니다. 그러니까 플래너를 끼면 제일 싼 최저가보다 2.5배의 금액을 지불하게 되는 겁니다. 그러니까 바이럴 알바가 먹을 만한 뽀찌가 생기죠. 학기당 15만원인 걸 70만원 넘게 결제하게 되니까요. 지금은 정보공유가 좀 되어서 이런 플래너를 끼면 훨씬 돈이 많이 든다는 걸 젊은 사람들이 많이 알게 되어 이제는 많이 줄어든 편입니다만, 지금도 금액차이는 여전합니다. 학점은행제 갤러리 개념글에서 경영학 전공 금액차이를 보게 되면, https://gall.dcinside.com/board/view/?id=acbs&no=174110&exception_mode=recommend&page=1 SB사이버 평생교육원 21만원 (3학점) vs. 위더스원격평생교육원 8900원 (3학점) 이 되는 겁니다.
