 오버워치 리그 2019가 지난 2월 14일(한국시간으로 2월 15일) 개막해서 스테이지 1 1주차의 일정을 마감했습니다. 작년 12개 팀에서 20개 팀으로 대폭 증가한 만큼 리그의 파워 밸런스가 무너지진 않을까 생각했는데 예상보다 신생팀들의 강세가 돋보인 1주차였습니다. 1주차에 치뤄진 16경기 중 신생팀과 기존 팀 사이의 경기는 총 8경기였는데, 항저우 스파크 3 - 1 상하이 드래곤스 토론토 디파이언트 3 - 2 휴스턴 아웃로즈 애틀랜타 레인 4 - 0 플로리다 메이햄 파리 이터널 3 - 1 런던 스핏파이어 워싱턴 저스티스 1 - 3 뉴욕 엑셀시어 항저우 스파크 3 - 2 LA 발리언트 밴쿠버 타이탄스 4 - 0 상하이 드래곤스 필라델피아 퓨전 3 - 2 애틀란타 레인 (신생팀 볼드처리) 로 총 6승 2패를 기록했습니다. 플로리다는 약팀이지만, 런던과 LA발리언트가 신생팀에게 질 것이라고 예상한 사람들은 별로 없었을 것입니다. 게다가 상하이는 이번 시즌 선수단의 전면 개편을 통해 지난 시즌의 오명을 벗어던지려고 한다는 평가를 주로 받았기 때문에 항저우 스파크가 보여주는 경기 내용 역시 기대 이상의 선전이죠. 한편 현재 오버워치 메타를 요약하자면 많은 팀들이 현재 뚜렷한 확신 없이 가장 강력한 33조합 vs. 33조합의 변형형태 vs. 33조합 카운터 사이에서 실험적으로 조합을 사용해 가면서, 이 세가지 선택지 중 어떤 조합이 가장 유리할 것인가를 가늠하고 있다는 인상을 받았습니다. *** -33조합 개요 현재 오버워치 메타의 기본형은 고츠라고 불리는 3탱 3힐(이하 33조합) 조합입니다. 33조합이 등장하기 이전 메타는 돌진 조합으로, 젠야타가 부조화를 건 대상을 향해 윈스턴, 겐지, 트레이서가 달려들어 포커싱으로 녹이는 데 포인트가 있습니다. 돌진 조합의 공격력이 너무 강했기 때문에 팀의 수비력을 늘리는 방식은 효과가 없었고, 결국 모든 팀이 돌진 조합을 사용하게 됩니다. 물론 위도우-정크랫 조합, 파라, 솜브라, 맥크리 등이 쓰였지만 이는 몇몇 맵에서 제한적으로 사용했을 뿐, 사실상 모든 팀이 윈스턴/디바/겐지/트레이서/루시우(아나)/젠야타를 기본으로 한 돌진 조합을 사용하였죠. 하지만 오버워치 리그 시즌1 3스테이지에 들어서 브리기테가 출현하면서 돌진 조합이 크게 타격을 받게 됩니다. 기존 돌진 조합에서 트레이서의 지속적인 폭딜과 겐지 용검의 캐리력이 돌진 조합을 견인하는 주된 엔진이었다면, 브리기테의 방밀-평타-도리깨 콤보가 대미지 155로 트레이서를 원콤낼 수 있었고, 또한 용검을 꺼낸 겐지 역시 브리기테가 콤보를 맞출 경우 거의 75%가량 체력을 깎게 되면서 돌진 조합의 핵심인 겐지/트레이서가 큰 타격을 입게 됩니다. 하지만 브리기테의 힐량 자체는 서브힐러를 대체하기엔 부족했기 때문에 브리기테를 포함한 3힐 조합이 시도되게 되는데, 이 과정에서 메인힐러 역할을 루시우/모이라가 담당하게 됩니다. 브리기테의 경우 근접공격이 사실상 전부이기 때문에 상대와의 거리를 빠르게 좁히는 것이 중요한데, 따라서 이속을 증가시킬 수 있는 루시우가 쓰이게 된 것입니다. 하지만 이 시기까지 33조합이 정착된 것은 아니었습니다. 오버워치 리그 시즌1 4스테이지까지 제한적이나마 33조합을 팀 전략으로 채택한 팀은 필라델피아 퓨전 뿐이었으며, 이 당시까지 대부분의 팀들은 아직까지 2딜러를 버리지 않았습니다. 그들은 겐트를 대체하고, 자연스럽게 브리기테로부터 멀어질 수 있는 딜러군들로 팀을 구성하게 되는데 결국 플레이오프에 들어서자 겐트를 빼고 남은 딜러군들 중에 솔저/파라/정크랫/맥크리/리퍼 등에 비해 상성우위를 가지고 있는 위도우/한조가 대세가 되어 모든 팀들은 2저격을 골자로 하는 구성을 취하게 됩니다. 그래서 새별비의 트레이서와 쪼낙의 젠야타라는 탈리그급 돌진 조합으로 오버워치 리그 시즌 1을 압도적으로 제패한 뉴욕 엑셀시어가 스테이지 4에 들어서 갑자기 몰락하고, 2018시즌에서 각각 5위, 6위를 기록했던 필라델피아 퓨전과 런던 스핏파이어가 각각, 카르페의 위도우와 프로핏의 한조를 앞세워 결승전에서 붙는 기이한 일이 벌어지게 된 것이죠. 비시즌기 본격적으로 브리기테를 포함한 조합이 본격적으로 연구되기 시작하고 마침내 3탱 3힐 조합이 시작됩니다. 이는 북미 컨텐더스에 참여했던 고츠(GOATS!)팀에 의해 맨 처음 시작되었다고 해서 고츠 조합으로 불립니다. 이 당시 3탱 3힐은 라인/자리야/디바/루시우/모이라/브리기테로 구성되었습니다. 하지만 모이라의 융화가 수비 궁으로서는 그 힘이 떨어지는 점, 그리고 모이라의 구슬이 디바 매트릭스에 먹힌다는 점 때문에 수비궁이 강하고 지속 힐/딜이 모두 강한 젠야타가 모이라 대신 사용되게 되며, 이 조합이 근 6~9개월간 오버워치 메타를 지배한 3탱 3힐의 기본형태라고 할 수 있습니다. 즉, 3탱 : 라인/자리야/디바 3힐: 루시우/젠야타/브리기테 를 기본형으로 하여 33조합이 생겨납니다. 33조합의 특징을 본다면 많은 체력과 낮은 공격력을 갖고 있는 탱커들을 힐러들이 빠르게 채우기 때문에 힐러들의 궁극기가 빨리 찬다는 점, 이후 궁극기가 계속해서 선순환을 일으키면서 사이클을 돌린다는 점이 있습니다. 궁사이클의 예시를 보면 1) 자탄+자폭 콤보 자리야의 중력자탄의 한가운데 디바의 자폭을 터트림으로써 상대방을 몰살시키는 콤보입니다. 디바 자폭이 얼마나 라인이 방벽으로 막기 불가능한 내부까지 잘 들어가느냐에 따라 파괴력이 결정되고, 혹은 자탄에 묶였지만 방벽을 들고 있는 상대 라인을 아군 라인이 돌진으로 밀침으로써 나머지 5명에게 자폭 피해를 주기도 합니다. 자탄+자폭이 강력한 또 다른 이유는, 모여 있는 적에게 망치를 휘두를 경우 인원마다 5%씩 궁이 차기 때문에 아군 라인하르트가 궁이 어마어마하게 빨리 찬다는 것입니다. 2) 방밀+분쇄 콤보 이렇게 차오른 라인하르트의 대지분쇄는 브리기테의 방패 밀치기와 합쳐서서 발동률 100%의 콤보가 되었는데 브리기테가 상대 라인에게 방밀을 걸고, 그 타이밍에 맞춰 라인하르트가 대지분쇄를 찍는 콤보입니다. 이 과정에서 자폭이 남아 있다면 망치 자폭 등도 이어지는 구성이 됩니다. 이는 브리기테의 방밀 너프로 인해 더 이상은 불가능하게 되었습니다. 등이 서로 회전하게 됩니다. 이렇게 라인의 대지분쇄/자리야의 중력자탄/디바의 자폭이 공격 궁으로 사용되고, 루시우의 소리방벽/젠야타의 초월이 수비 궁으로 사용되게 되며, 브리기테의 집결이 전체 유지력을 강화하는 방식으로 구성되게 되었습니다. 이 33조합의 특징들을 요약하면, -빠르게 궁을 채우고, 사이클을 돌릴 수 있음 -수많은 CC기 조합으로 구성 -중간에 한 명이 잘리더라도 충분한 딜량 가능 -원거리 포킹 조합에 일방적으로 얻어맞기 때문에 대치하기보다는 루시우의 이속을 바탕으로 들어가야 하는 조합 -같은 33끼리는 궁사이클, 포커싱, 위치 싸움. -초반 전투는 어떻게 상대 메인탱을 녹일 것이냐가 가장 중요 등이 있습니다. 사실상 33이 전체 메타의 가장 강한 조합으로 군림하게 되자 기존 선수들도 포지션 변경이 많이 되었는데요. 일반적으로 메인 탱커 : 라인, 서브 탱커 : 디바, 메인 딜러 : 자리야, 서브 딜러 : 브리기테, 메인 힐러 : 루시우, 서브 힐러 : 젠야타 의 구성을 많이 취하게 되었습니다. 동일 조합끼리 붙게 되자 사실상 어떻게 스킬(자리야의 주는 방벽, 브리기테의 방어구팩)을 배분할 것인가와 포커싱 싸움으로 흘러가게 되었는데요. 덩어리들끼리 계속해서 붙게 되자 보는 맛은 있었지만 모든 게임이 같은 게임을 리플레이하는 것처럼 지루하게 흘러간 것도 사실입니다. 또한 그동안 멋진 캐리력을 보여주던 딜러들이 하나같이 자리야와 브리기테를 하고 있으니 보는 맛 역시 크게 떨어졌죠. 이 당시 덩어리들이 얼마나 심각했냐면, 북미 컨텐더스에서는 12궁을 몰아 쓰고도 단 한명도 죽지 않은 일이 생기기도 했습니다. 바야흐로 고츠 강점기의 시대가 온 것입니다. *** -33조합 변형 한편 33이 현재 무상성의 조합이지만, 상대가 33조합을 할 것이라는 사실을 알고 있다면 약간의 변형을 통해 상성우위를 가져갈 수도 있는데요. 33조합 변형형태들로는 1) 윈스턴 33 : 라인 대신 윈스턴을 넣는 조합. 주로 z축으로 넘어다닐 수 있는 전장에서 사용. 하지만 화물전장에서 사용 불가능. 라인의 대지분쇄를 쿨 13초짜리 방벽 생성기로 막는 것이 불가능하기 때문에 거점 전장(특히 1거점)에서만 지속적인 포킹 용으로 제한적 사용. 2) 솜브라 : 디바 대신 솜브라를 넣는 조합. 지속적으로 상대 힐러들을 괴롭힐 수 있고, 수많은 CC기가 난무하는 33조합간의 대결에서 실수하지만 않는다면 모든 궁을 무효화시킬 수 있음. 대신 emp 자체가 채우는 데 시간이 많이 걸리고 전장이 넓을 경우 대미지를 많이 올리기 힘들어 사실상 emp를 몇번 회전시키느냐가 중요. emp를 빨리 채우기 위해서는 대치가 길어야 하기 때문에 들어가지 않고 계속해서 대치하면서 포킹의 우위를 가져가야 함. 따라서 제때 이속을 넣고 빼는 루시우의 조율 능력이 필요. 3) 둠피스트 : 디바 대신 둠피스트를 넣는 조합. 평소 딜량이 디바에 비해 강할 뿐더러 자탄+자폭의 경우 방벽 등으로 방어가 가능하지만 자탄+파멸의 일격의 경우 막는 것이 사실상 힘들기 때문에 엘미에 의해 주로 사용. 대신 낮은 체력으로 포커싱 당해 빠르게 죽는 것도 가능. 컨텐더스 엘미가 주로 사용. 4) 아나 : 젠야타 대신 아나를 사용하는 조합. 젠야타에 비해 힐량이 높아 메인탱커를 안정적으로 살릴 수 있고, 힐밴을 통해 상대 초월을 카운터치는 것이 가능. 하지만 생존력이 떨어져 최우선 포커싱 대상이 되며 나노 강화제가 초월에 비해 수비력이 떨어지는 단점. 5) 메이 : 역시 디바 대신 메이를 사용하는 조합. 주로 시간을 지연시켜야 하는 화물 전장에서 사용되며, 지속적인 빙벽과 급속빙결로 지연전을 펼치는 것이 중요. 단점은 디바가 없다 보니 2층을 가는 것이 상대적으로 제한됨. 6) 모이라 : 다시 2) 솜브라의 대처로 옛 33 모이라가 재등장. 젠야타의 경우 해킹에 취약한 반면 모이라는 자동에임을 통해 솜브라의 해킹을 방해할 수 있기 때문에 상대가 2) 솜브라 변형 고츠를 내세우면 상대팀은 모이라 강제. 등의 변형형태들이 개발되었지만 결국 33에서 파생된 조합으로 볼 수 있습니다. *** -33카운터 현재까지 명백한 33조합의 카운터는 없습니다. 하지만 33조합의 특징들을 이용해서 제한된 조건(1거점이라던가, 쟁탈 전장이라던가)에서 33조합을 카운터치는 것은 가능합니다. 1) 1탱 4딜 1힐 : 33조합이 폭딜이 없다는 약점을 이용, 1탱 레킹볼을 이용해
