  제 첫 게시물은 음식점 방문 후기가 되었네요. ㅎㅎ 광화문국밥은 합정과 광화문에서 '로칸다 몽로' 1, 2호점 운영하는 스타 셰프 박찬일 씨의 (제가 아는 한) 첫 한식 집이죠. 광화문 몽로는 폼이 안 좋다 느꼈지만 합정 몽로는 개업 때부터 팬이었고 박찬일 씨라는 캐릭터도 좀 아재 느낌 강하긴 하지만 먹는 쪽으로는 믿을 만한 사람이라 생각해 와서... 광화문국밥 개업하고 얼마 안 되었을 때 가서 돼지국밥을 먹어 보기도 했습니다. 당시 합정 쪽 옥동식 돼지국밥이 꽤 화제가 되었는데, 대체 맑은 돼지국밥을 왜 만들고 먹는 건가 근본적인 질문을 던지게 하는 그런 음식이었어요. 저는 기본적으로 부산식 진득한 돼지국밥을 좋아해 왔던 터라... 맑은 국물 먹고 싶으면 물괴기, 버섯류, 굳이 육고기라면 그냥은 먹기 애매한 단단한 살코기를 쓰는 거지 비계 달린 고기로 굳이 맑은 국물을 낸다니 그게 무슨 헛짓인가... 뭐 그렇게 생각하거든요. 박찬일 씨는 몽로에서도 돼지고기를 어떻게 하면 맛있게 먹을까 고민을 하는 사람 같았기 때문에 여기 국밥은 꽤 기대를 하고 갔다가 살짝 실망했던 기억이 있습니다. 그러니까 완전은 아니고 살짝... 옥동식보다 잘 조율된 한 그릇이긴 했는데 그래도 왜 돼지로 맑은 국물을 내느냐에 대한 답을 주지는 않는 그런 음식이었죠. 한 그릇 다 먹었을 때의 만족감이 나쁘진 않았습니다만... 아무튼 오너 셰프 전공이 파스타이니 면 요리인 냉면에서는 뭔가 좀 다른 걸 보여 주지 않을까 했습니다. 냉면에 삶은 달걀 넣는 거 아주 싫어했는데 지단으로 대체한 것도 마음에 들었고, 면에 간을 해서 국물과 면 따로 놀지 않게 설정한 것도 좋게 느껴졌습니다. 만... 괜히 가격을 만 원 이하로 설정한 거 아닌가 싶더라고요. 우래옥은 값이 비싸긴 하지만 국물이 워낙 터프해서(고기 엄청 때려넣었겠죠) 다 먹고 났을 때의 든든함이 비할 데 없는데, 광화문국밥 냉면은 배는 빵빵해도 먹다 말았다는 느낌을 어쩔 수 없이 안겨 주더라고요. 수육, 그러니까 보통은 제육이라고 부르는 삶은 돼지고기는 햄을 연상케 할 만큼 감칠맛이 좋았습니다. 부위별로 알맞게 조리되어 나왔다고 느꼈고요. 다만 이걸로 배를 채우기는 어려우니(반 접시가 13000원, 한 접시가 23000원이었던 거 같은데 반 접시 고기가 한 150그램이나 될까 싶었어요) 식사류를 하나 끼긴 해야죠. 기껏 공들여 조리한 음식들이니 소주를 곁들이긴 아까워서 연태고량주를 곁들이고 하면... 2인 식사에서 5만 원이 나옵니다. 2인에 5만 원... 연태고량... 괜찮은 중식당(연남동 쪽이나 차이나타운) 가서 같은 금액 쓰면 이보다 1.5배 만족도 나오죠. 중식이 워낙 효율이 좋으니... 개인적으로 평양냉면이 얼마나 효율이 나쁜 음식인가 확인하게 되었습니다, 박찬일 셰프가 저보다 요리를 수십 배는 잘 아는 사람일 텐데 그런 사람이 용을 빼도 이 정도밖에 안 나오는구나, 하는 거죠. 그래도 가끔 광화문 들르면 여기 가서 국밥이든 냉면이든 한 그릇 먹고 싶긴 할 거 같아요. 일단 김치가 맛있어요. 마늘이랑 고추 신선도도 좋고, 된장도 맛있습니다. 한편으로는 김치, 생야채 다 빼고 국물에 투자하는 게 낫겠다 싶기도 하지만요. ㅎㅎㅎ Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 133 Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 146 Warning: Use of undefined constant vote - assumed 'vote' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 161 6 |
