정확히는 과거 동창이겠네요. 이번에 사고 제대로 치는걸 봅니다. 저는 정의당 논평이나 메갈에 대한 입장에대해 크게 분노하거나 부당하다고 생각하지 않습니다. 저는 따지자면 메갈과 워마드를 약간 분리하고, 동시에 메갈, 워마드에 대해 '반대의 반대'인 입장인데요. 메갈과 워마드를 찬성하지는 않지만 둘을 반대하는 것에는 반대하는 입장입니다. 근거를 정리하자면.. 1. 극단주의적이고 폭력적 운동방식은 그 어떤 다른 모든 방식의 실패와 억압, 피해 이후에나 등장할 당위를 가진다. -물론 미소지니의 피해 당사자들은 '피해를 참으며 순교를 기다리라는건 잔인한 요구다'라고 이야기하지만, 이게 현대에 합의된 약자의 싸움입니다. 노조가 강경파업과 폭력시위를 하는 과정이 비슷한데... 실제로 노조가 폭력시위까지 가려면 1)합의시도와 교섭의 파행 2)정당한 파업요건과 집시법에 대한 절차를 지킨 파업 3) 사측의 범법적 파업압박과 법망을 교묘히 피해가는 파업 해체시도, 노동자측및 관련 가족에대한 폭력, 회유, 협박 등의 다양한 갈등과정 4) 극단적인 상황이 장기화되며 죽음 혹은 그에 가까운 피해자들과 순교자들이 등장 5) 대중으로부터의 관심이 사라지기 시작하고 자본을 쥔 자들의 언론플레이와 진실가리기가 확장 6) 죽창으로 나를 찔러 죽거나, 상대를 찌르지 않으면 모든게 박살나는 상황 이 여섯가지 단계정도를 와야 그나마 폭력시위에 대해서 '저것밖에는 답이 없는 절박한 자들이다'라는 의견이 약간이라도 당위를 얻는데, 사실 현재 여성인권이 이 단계는 아닙니다. 세계적으로 제도화된 준 선진국 자유민주 제도국가들 사이에서 여성인권은 제도적으로 이미 많은 것을 평등에 가깝게 얻었다보니.. 2. 그럼에도 그들의 발화 이면에 있는 문제가 사회에서 배제되어야 할 것은 아니다. 3. 그들의 실체적 위협들은 기존 인터넷 사회(전 1998년 정도부터 인터넷을 한 것 같습니다. 새롬 데이타맨..천리안..)가 여성에게 가하던 성적 대상화, 조롱, 여성혐오적 폭력 등에 비해 질적으로 매우 분명하고 뚜렷이 큰 규모와 실천가능성을 내포한다고 보긴 어렵습니다. 따먹기, 강간모의 이런건.. 인터넷 실명제에 규정 엄한 사이트들이 많이 생긴 지금이나 줄어들었지 엽기넷 이런거 유행할때는 보편상수 수준이었고, 그런것들 속에서 여성들이 인터넷에 자리를 만들지 못해 폐쇄된 커뮤니티로 많이 들어갔죠. 물론 그들이 뭐 그런거에 깨끗하다는건 아니고,(자기들도 폐쇄된 곳에서 온갖 망상과 혐오를 내뿜었으니) 다만 이게 인터넷 위의 망상인지 현실에서 강력하게 위험한 테러리즘인지에 대해서 공포를 확대할 필요는 없다고 생각합니다. 4. 다만 개별적 주체가 혐오발언에 대한 모욕, 심리적 상처, 오프라인에서의 실정법 위반(임산부 배려석 사진테러나 간접적인 남성이나 미성년남성에 대한 성추행, 성희롱 등등) 등에 대해서 소송하고 처벌을 받게 하는 것에 찬성합니다. 그리고 그래야 한다고 생각하고요. 실정법을 넘어서는 저항은 권리주체와의 직접적 갈등이므로, 그 정도의 각오는 필요한 법입니다. 5. 하지만 각오가 '변호권'의 포기까지 이어질건 아니라고 봅니다. 살인범도 국가에서 국선변호를 맡깁니다. 그렇다고 국가가 살인범을 옹호하는건 아니잖아요? 지지집단이 '범죄를 무마하기 위해 청부폭행, 납치, 감금, 협박 같은 것을 사용할 자금을 마련한다' 같은 목적이라면 싸그리 잡아들이고 배척해야하지만, 변호권이라면 빡은 치는데 그걸 하지말라고 하는건 우리가 합의한 사회적 선은 아닌거같아요. 사적구제의 영역이라면 영역이지. 그런면에서 티셔츠와 모금, 변호권 관련해서는 모금과정과 세무내역에 대한 실정법 위반으로 신고한다거나 그런건 당연히 할 수 있는 일인데, 변호권 지원을 가지고 때려패는건 위의 실체적 위협이 갖는 크기와 관련해서도 그렇고 과하다는 생각입니다. 위와 같은 근거를 통해 저는 메갈/워마드에 대한 입장을 갖고 있고요. 그런면에서 좀 과열되었고, 비상식적으로 사람들이 염증을 느끼는게 과도한 열대야 탓인가 싶기도 합니다만. 그와 별개로 정의당 이야기를 하려고 했으니 정의당 이야기를 하자면.. 진보주의자 내에서도 페미니즘과 워마드, 메갈에 대해서는 시각이 꽤 다릅니다. 페미니즘 자체를 부정하는 개인은 별로 없는데, 사실 현대사회의 모순이라는게 단일 사상으로 해석될만큼 만만하지는 않잖아요? 페미니즘은 갈등을 젠더에 두고 해석하는거고, 고전 맑시즘은 갈등을 생산구조와 계급에 두는거고.. 갈등에 대한 해석은 여러가지일 수 있고, 중요하게 생각하는 갈등의 심급도 다 다를거라 생각합니다. 그런면에서 봤을때 문예위 지인이 던진 중앙당을 통과한 정의당의 논평은 '사실' 꽤 보수적이죠. 디테일을 지워버리고 직업자유와 헌법가치를 근거로 들었으니까. 내용이 틀리진 않았을겁니다. 다만.. 어떤 발언도 시기와 맥락이라는게 존재하고, '정당'은 그거에 가장 민감해야한 곳이기도 하죠. 사실 좌파라고 생각하는 제 입장에서 정의당은 꽤 애증스런 곳입니다. 그러니까.. '좌파'다운 정당이냐면 사실 좀 아닌것들이 많아요. 불만족스러운 대처도 있고, 너무 리버럴하거나 좀 그런 부분이 심적으로 까끌거리기도 하는데 그래도 침묵으로 지지합니다. 이유는.. '좌파'가 갖는 인식 자체가 공격당하기 너무 쉬운 동네라 그래요. 대한민국이라는 땅이. 특수성도 강하고. 대중의 인식도 그렇고. 게다가 인구 절반이 군대에서 사상교육받고 나오는데... 그래서 정의당의 약진 속에 굳이 정의당의 디테일한 아쉬움이나 하자를 건들지 않는것도 있죠. 파이좀 키워보라고. 민주당보다 '덜'리버럴하면서 '더' 좌파적이고 조금 더 진보적인 정책들에 민감하게 굴 수 있는 정당. 그래서 녹색당이나 노동당이나 노동자계급정당위원회 이쪽보다 정의당에 표 하나 주는것도 그런 심리가 있었어요. 그래도 여기에 힘 실어주는게 진보정치가 앞으로 좀 더 나아지기 위한 방법중 하나일거야 같은.. 여튼 그런 입장에서, 정의당과 오늘의 유머는 꽤 커다란 관계라면 관계인데. 오늘의 유머는 사실 좌파입장에서 보기에는 좀 그래요. 너무 감정적이고, 근거와 주장이 따로놀아도 쉽게 받아들여지고.. 다만 대중의 인식이라는게 자기 분야 아닌곳에선 다 그런거고 나 역시 어딘가에서 그러하니까 라는 생각으로, 그래도 오늘의 유머는 리버럴한 원칙 자체는 대체로 지키려고 자정작용도 있는 편이고 해서 나쁘게 보지는 않거든요. 가끔 이상하게 엇나가고 이상하게 불타고 그렇지. 그런데 이번 총선에서 오늘의 유머가 더민주가 아니라 정의당에 대한 홍보, 펀딩을 크게 도우면서 뭔가 좀 특이하다고 생각했어요. 좌파가 정의당과 갖는 온도차 만큼 오유와 정의당도 온도차가 있는 곳일텐데.. 저는 그걸 위험하긴 해도 나쁘게 보진 않았어요. 리버럴에 약간 가까워지고, 대신 리버럴을 약간 왼쪽으로 만들어 나가는건 아주 중요한 일이니까.. 그런데 이번 문예위 지인의 사고로 인해 오유는 정의당과 크게 엇갈린 상황이 되더라고요. 당비내는 사람들의 탈당계, 사이트 내에서의 축출.. 거기만 그런줄 알았더니 리버럴한 사람들이 좀 있는 커뮤니티들에서 정의당은 지금 웹툰작가들 수준으로 털리고 있더군요. 특히 문예위의 논평과 그 이후 인터뷰, 대응등으로.. 저는 메갈과 정의당의 연결고리, 성우와 메갈4와 메갈의 연결고리로 정의당을 이렇게 비토하는게 썩 이성적이고 적절한 비토는 아니라고 생각해요. 위의 근거들 때문에.. 근데 그건 일개 네티즌으로서 그렇다는거고.. 정의당의 간판 밑에서 일하는 사람이라면 말이 달라지겠죠. 논평의 내용이 맞다 한들, 이후의 대응이 맞는말을 돌직구로 한다한들 맥락과 상황을 무시할 순 없어요. 그래서 정의당 내부에서 정확한 입장표명을 못하는 거기도 하죠. 왜냐면 당 내에서도 리버럴-좌파 사이의 입장에서 메갈/워마드에 대한 해석과 성우사건과 티셔츠 사건을 어떻게 어디까지 연결적으로 바라보고 어떻게 판단해야할지는 복잡한 일일거라는 생각이 들어요. 페미니즘을 부정할수는 없는데, 극단주의적 방식을 포용하기엔 정의당이 이미 많이 리버럴하고, 그런데 이걸 명백한 극단주의 지지라고 보기에는 성우 자신도 아니라고 하고, 메갈4 페이지가 모금을 통해 메갈/워마드의 변호권을 지지한다한들 메갈 4 페이지 자체는 별도 집단으로 온건주의노선을 표방하고 있고. 이게 감정적으로 싫어서 똑같은거지! 라고 외치는 사람들의 심리가 이해 안가는건 아닌데, 음.. 이 연결고리로 같은 놈들 같은 새끼들이라고 하는건 좀 위험한거같다는게 제 입장이라 그런가 당 내에서도 조율과 토론이 필요할거에요. 근데 이런 상황에서 문예위 관계자들은 완전 미쳐날뛰고 있죠. 이게 가장 큰 문제라서 이 글을 이렇게 쓰고있는건데.. 얘들은 자기들이 맞다는 확신으로 정의당 당 내에서도 꽤 막무가내인걸로 들었어요. 저도 당 내에 소식을 들려줄만한 사람이 아예 없는것도아니고... 이번건도 그런데 아직 중앙당 내에서 앞으로의 입장에 대해 어떻게 해나갈지가 정해지지도 않았고, 정의당이 인터넷 이슈 하나에 당 역량을 다 집중하기에는 지금 사회적으로 이것보다 정의당이 참여해야할 이슈가 훨씬 많아요. 당장 신문기사에서는 내려갔어도 조선소/금속,중공업관련 파업과 정리해고가 여전히 진행중이고 그 외에 해결하지못한 상시투쟁이슈도 많고, 각종 복지, 임금논쟁, 김영란법 헌재판결, 자기 지역구 정치, 사드문제 거기에 이젠 이건희씨 성매매의혹이랑 뭐 터지는게 한두가지가 아닌데.. 메갈/워마드 같은 이슈를 당 중심화제로 놓고 역량을 분배해서 집중할만큼 정의당이 크고 돈많고 힘있는 당은 아니거든요. 원내교섭단체도 못된 정당인데.. 그래서 내부 깽판도 제대로 단속이 안되는거죠. 문예위 애들은 소위 '먹물'마냥 여기저기서 인터뷰하고 물어보는대로 떠들고 자기들이 맞는말 한다는 생각으로 돌직구 던지고 다니는데.. 그 속도를 당 내에서 감당을 못하는거에요. 그리고 이런 현실정치를 그냥 개무시하고 문예위는 오늘도 트위터, 인터넷, 페북에서 등판중이죠. 사실 제 과거 동창을 제가 엄청 싫어하는데.. 어릴때 엄청 비겁하고 치졸하게 굴고 모르는것에도 아는척이 심했던 친구로 기억해요. 성격이 나쁘다기 보단 그냥 입이 엄청 싸고.. 할말 못할말 구분못하고 떠들다가 책임 못져서 도망가고 회피하고.. 뭐에 이렇게 딱 마주서서 책임지고 기다 아니다 하고 그런 모습을 본 적도 없었거든요. 그래서 동창이어도 사실 인사도 안나눌 사이고. 그런데 지금 정의당에 폭탄을 걔가 던진거더라고요. 기분같아선 주변인 뒤져서 쌍욕을 하고 싶은데.. 꾹꾹 신물을 눌러담고있어요. 걔가 쓴 글들이 인터넷에 계속 돌아다니고 있고, 주변 관계자들도 자중은 커녕 고작 금토일 주말.. 중앙당 입장은 월요일 지나서 나올텐데 그 사이에 정의당의 핵심 지지 단일집단중 하나였던 오늘의 유머에 돌직구저격날리고 군소 인터넷 언론이나 날아오는 질문들에 끝까지 맥락, 상황 생각안하고 내가 맞아 맞다고. 님들 그걸 왜몰라요를 시전하고 있어요. 아.. 개인적으로 정의당을 비판적 지지하는 입장에서(좀 더 좌파적인 입장에서) 화가나는건, 아무 책임도 못 질 놈이 이렇게 깽판을 친다는거에요. 옳은말, 맞는 말을 할 줄 아는 사람은 널리고 널렸는데 몰라서 안떠드는게 아니거든요. 상황, 맥락이 얼마나 중요한지, 발화자와 수신자의 상황이나 관계를 전혀 고려하지 않은 말이 어떤 책임을 지게 하는지.. 어디 키보드 워리어가 그러는것도아니고 당직자를 하면서 그러고 있으니까 화가 나서 써 봤어요. 이 글을 이렇게 쓴건.. 일종의 정의당에 대한 약간의 변호가 될 것 같아요. 문예위의 입장과 주말내내 문예위 관련자들이 떠들고 다니는것들이 정의당 전체에서 다 컨펌되고 동일시 할만한 발언은 아니라는것, 그리고 위의 1~5의 근거처럼.. 메갈/메갈4/워마드/성우 사태가 너무 단순화되어서 (혐오발언이 많고 폭력적이고 못된 짓 많이 한다는 사실이 다른 모든 것을 집어삼킨상황) 싸움이 커지고 있는데 여기에 정의당 문예위가 눈치도 없고 책임감도 없이 던지고 다니는 것에 대한 하소연이었어요. '그래서 메갈이나 오유나 일베나' 같은 이야기를 또 들을것 같지만... 우리가 걔들이 심연이라고 해서 우리마저 눈에는 눈, 이에는 이를 시전하고 리버럴의 원칙을 버리면 안될거에요. 본인이 리버럴이라고 믿는다면요. 그러니까 혐오와 폭력은 개별적 실정법에 의거해서 처벌하고, 그 처벌에 휘말린 가해자들이 변호를 선임하는거야 우리가 사회에서 합의한 형법과 재판의 기본권리니까 마음은 고까워도 넘어갈 자세도 필요하고, 그 선임을 지원하는거야 사실 민변, 법률구조공단, 국선도 자세히보면 '저런새끼도 변호를 해주나'싶은 일도 많이 하니까..그리고 사설 단체들도 얼마나 나쁜놈들한테 변호지원 많이 해줍니까. 그러니 그걸 너무 감정에 이끌려 동일시 하고 이런건도 한 숨 쉬고 자제도 좀 하고 그러면서.. 문제를 너무 확대하고 감정에 따라 공포와 폭력을 확산하지 않았으면 좋겠어요. 그렇습니다. 하.. 정의당... 물밑에서 고생하는 사람들 한큐에 엿먹이는건 역시 같은편의 책임감없고 눈치없고 아는체 좋아하는 인간이에요. 어딜가든.
