저는 <비밀의 숲 시즌2>는 이미 망한 드라마라고 생각합니다. 이유는 몇 가지가 있는데, 본격적으로 돌이킬 수 없는 길로 접어든 건 12화 끝나고 입니다.  비밀의 숲 시즌2 (밑에서부터는 편의를 위해 비숲2로 지칭하겠습니다)의 큰 스토리라인은 두 개입니다. 하나는 우태하-황시목 vs. 최빛-한여진이라는 두 집단의 갈등을 축으로 하는 검경수사권조정 스토리이고, 두 번째는 이경영의 퇴장 이후 한조라는 거대 제국을 물려받은 어린 황제가 된 이연재가 제국의 황권을 두고 그의 오빠와 다투는 한조 경영권 스토리입니다. 우태하-황시목, 최빛-한여진은 이 검경수사권조정의 틀에서는 같은 편이지만, 박광수 사건에 관해서는 우태하-최빛이 같은 편, 황시목-한여진이 같은 편입니다. 박광수 건이 한조 경영권분쟁의 스토리의 한 축이라면, 처음에는 같은 편이었던 것처럼 보이던 우태하-황시목이 다시 편을 갈라서 각자 자기 조직의 적폐들과 싸우는 스토리로 진행이 될 것입니다. 전체 16부작 중에 통영 사건은 사실 첫 2화를 잡아먹은 것 치고는 애매합니다. 오주선이라는 특정 인물이 강한 흡인력을 갖고 있거나 극중에서 먼저 행동하는 프로타고니스트가 아니기 때문에, 그를 등장시키기 위해 필요한 것도 아닙니다. 전관예우의 적폐를 지적하기에도 애매합니다. 작중 등장하는 두 커플의 범죄를 인스타 염탐하다가 알아챈 것도 황당하지만, 통제선 끊었다고 해서 그게 살인도 아니고, 과실치사 수준도 아니고, 심지어 그걸 입증하는 건 거의 불가능인데, 이런 종류에 확실한 범죄를 전관의 힘을 써서 막았다고 주장하기엔 설득력이 떨어집니다. 3~6화까지 검경수사권조정 이야기는 양측 다 뭐 열심히 연기는 하는데, 이런 내용은 기사에도 많이 있는데 싶습니다. 장르물에 로맨스를 기대하진 않으니까 결국 서사가 남고, 서스펜스가 있어야 하는데, 양쪽 다 치열하게 맞부딪치는 것 치고는 긴장감이 없습니다. 한조그룹 이야기도 재미없지요. 그냥 이것저것 전개가 되는데, 의심증과 분노조절장애가 심해졌다는 이경영이 나와서 깽판을 친 것도 아니고, 그저 이성재의 은밀한 공격을 이연재가 은밀히 방어합니다. 결국 비숲2가 긴장감을 갖기 시작한 건 6화가 끝나고 서동재가 납치된 이후입니다. 그동안 변죽을 울렸던 스토리들(박광수, 세곡지구대, 한조그룹 등)이 서동재 사건의 배후를 추적하는 과정에서 하나로 합쳐지고 해소되어야 합니다. 비밀의 숲2의 큰 축을 이루는 두 서사는 접점이 굉장히 적습니다. 박광수 사건 하나밖에 없죠. 그러니까 서동재 사건이 이 두 서사를 합치는 데 큰 힘을 발휘해줘야 하는 것입니다. 비밀의 숲 시즌 1이 그랬던 것처럼 황시목이 범인을 찾아다니던 그 일련의 과정들이 이창준의 커다란 그림 안 설계였듯이 말이죠. 그런데 문제는 황시목의 번뜩임이 사라지면서 나옵니다. 장르물에서 시청자는 등장인물과 똑같이 생각하면 안 됩니다. 우리에게는 작품을 씹고 뜯고 맛보고 즐길 시간이 많지만, 등장인물은 16화 안에 다 수수께끼를 풀어야 해요. 시즌 1의 1화를 보세요. 시즌 1에서도 황시목은 독자가 쫓아올 만한 거리에서 빠르게 수사를 진행합니다. 시간계산 하고, TV 수리기사를 쫓고, 수리기사의 양말에서 혈흔 찾고, 블랙박스로 증거 보강한 다음 바로 재판으로 넘겨버리죠. 물론 나중에 그 추론이 틀렸음이 드러나지만, 범인이 어떻게 행동했고 박무성은 전날 누구를 만났는지 빠르게 확인하고 진행합니다. 그런데 7화~12화 동안 황시목의 사고 속도는 시청자와 똑같습니다. 원한, 치정, 금전 중에 금전은 재껴지고, 치정인가? 서동재가 후배 검사와 불륜을 하나? 아니면 부인이 다른 남자가 있나? 아니었네. 원한. 역시 예전 범인들? 세곡지구대? 실컷 조사하는데 세곡지구대원, 혹은 동두천 경찰서장이 범인인 듯한 의뭉스러운 느낌만 풍긴 채 시청자하고 똑같은 속도로 생각하고 똑같이 미궁 속에 빠집니다. 최소한 시즌1이었다면, 범인이 보낸 편지에서 황시목은 단서를 찾았어야만 했습니다. 그럼에도 아무 단서도, 아무 해법도 못 찾았죠. 오리무중에 빠진 사건을 해결하기 위한 억지 장치인 목격자마저, 이수연 작가는 그가 가짜였다는 결말로 12화를 끝냅니다. 자 7~12화가 끝나는 동안, 황시목이 더 밝혀낸 것은 하나도 없습니다. 서동재가 박광수의 수상쩍은 죽음에 관심을 가졌다는 것은 알겠지만, 서동재가 박광수 건에 대해 뭘 더 알아내지 못했던 것처럼 황시목 역시 거기에서 멈춰 있습니다. 최소한 이 6화를 더 가치있게 쓰고 싶었다면, 황시목은 박광수 건에 대해 남들이 알아내지 못했던 무언가를 더 찾고 그 이야기를 서사에 덧붙였어야 합니다. 박광수가 갔던 별장이 <내부자들>처럼 재벌판 호화파티여도 좋고, 아니면 그 회동이 무언가 굉장히 추잡하고 더러운 것이었어도 상관없습니다. 어쨌든 무엇을 했는가는 더 나왔어야죠. 7화와 12화의 차이는 하나밖에 없습니다. 세곡지구대는 범인이 아니었습니다! 이미 남은 회차가 4회차밖에 없는 상황에서, 비숲 시즌2는 주워담아야 할 이야기가 하나가 아닙니다. 서동재는 누가 납치했고 죽었는가, 살았는가. 목격자는 누가 조작했나, 박광수는 왜 죽었나, 이경영은 왜 이연재를 적대하는가, 이연재와 이성재 사이 승자는 누가 될 것인가, 검경수사권조정은 어떻게 마무리 될 것인가, 박광수 사건에서 우태하와 최빛은 도대체 무슨 나쁜 짓을 했으며, 한여진과 황시목은 어떻게 힘을 합쳐서 그 나쁜 짓을 밝혀낼 것인가. 그리고 13화에서 드디어 작가는 통영 사건을 재등장시킵니다. 짜잔! 알고 보니 너희들이 추론했던 건 다 헛다리였고 사실은 이랬음. 와 반전! 와 갓드라마! 그런데 지금 14화가 끝난 지금, 위 떡밥들 중에 해소된 건 몇 개나 있죠? 1개입니다. 일단 기본적으로 작가의 디테일에 대한 집착, 인간의 다층적인 면모에 대한 집착이 전체 흐름을 질질 끌고 있습니다. 몇몇 장면들은 디테일을 잘 잡아냈다 싶은데도 전체 그림을 보면 이게 진행은 되나 싶습니다. 원래 수사 그렇게 열심히 하던 거 다 압니다. 그런데 쳐낼 건 쳐내야죠. 통영 사건 범인의 부모가 전관이고 변호사 출신이라는 게 전체 스토리 진행하고 무슨 상관입니까? 빨리 범인 심문해서 서동재 찾는 거만 더 늦출 뿐입니다. 세곡지구대도 아니다 싶었으면 빨리 쳐내면서 진행시켰어야죠. 사실 세곡지구대가 돈 받은 건 나쁜 일이었는데 알고 보니 동료가 치매를 앓는 노모를 부양하기 위해서였대. 그래서 그게 전체 스토리랑 무슨 상관인데요. 우연에 우연을 거듭하니 스토리가 말이 안되게 됩니다. 자 지금 서동재 사건의 목격자를 지금 우태하/김사현 중 하나가 조작했다는 쪽으로 이야기가 진행되고 있죠? 그런데 실제 범인은 검찰하곤 별 상관이 없죠? 그럼 우태하/김사현은 누가 범인인지도 모르는데 걔가 진짜 메세지를 어떻게 보낼 지도 모르면서 넥타이를 잘라 버렸다는 얘기가 됩니다. 아무리 수사상황을 옆에서 지켜볼 수 있는 입장이라지만, 단지 수사에 혼선을 주고 경찰을 범인으로 몰기 위해서라기에는 너무 무리한 시도죠. 가짜 범인 잡기의 역풍은 조작한 쪽이 그대로 뒤집어쓸 텐데 말입니다. 오늘 15화 예고를 봤는데 이젠 목격자 누가 조작했나 찾다가 한 화 다 잡아먹을 느낌이던데, 결국 뭐가 끝날까요. 어디서 기억나네요. 이 비슷한 느낌... 이게 마무리가 돼? 싶었는데 결국 끝까지 아무 것도 해소하지 못했던 드라마... 마지막화 전까지 떡밥이 몇개가 남았는데 단 하나도 해소하지 못한 채 이규형이 수영하면서 끝났던 드라마... <라이프>... 익숙한 향기가 납니다. 반전영화 이야기하면 나오는 영화중에 하나가 쏘우1인데
전 매우 싫어합니다. 그 누워있는 시체가 범인이라는 결론이라면 시청자에게 와 이래서 이런거구나 하는 복선을 깔아주고 나중에 보여줘야하는데
아무근거없이 그 시체가 사실 범인이었음ㅋ 뒷통수 맞았지 ㅋㅋ 하는게 복선도 없고 해서... 더 보기
