(그렇지만 국밥의 가치를 기준으로 타인의 기호를 평가할 생각은 전혀 없습니다. 다른 사람이 국밥을 안 먹으면 내가 먹을 수 있는 국밥의 기회가 늘어나므로 오히려 반갑습니다. 국밥충이라는 표현이 적절하다고 생각합니다.) 한국의 서민에게 국밥이 있다면, 일본의 서민에게는 라멘이 있습니다. 돼지고기 2-3점에 육수를 곁들이고, 면으로 탄수화물을 보충해서 든든하게 문을 나서면, 비오는 밤거리도 행복하게 걸을 수 있습니다. 그게 배고픈 유학생이라면 더욱 그렇겠죠. 교토에서 구글맵 기준으로 제일 유명한 라멘집은 니시키 시장 근처의 이푸도와 가와라마치근처의 이치란 입니다. (〒604-8143 京都府京都市中京区阪東屋町653-1 東洞院通り 錦ビル1F) 특히나 이푸도는 매운맛을 좋아하시는 한국여행객에게는 매우 입맛에 맞을 것 같습니다. 중간단계 매운맛에 제가 3개월만에 위경련을 느꼈을정도니까요. 가격은 오리지널 사이즈가 1000엔근처, 사이즈 업 및 반숙추가를 하면 1300엔 정도 입니다. 사이드 메뉴도 훌룡합니다. 교자 그리고 명란비빔밥? 도 매우 훌룡 했습니다. 먹으면서 '웨이팅 있을만 하네' 라는 말을 몇번이주머 중얼거렸습니다. 시간대를 잘 피해서 웨이팅도 거의 없었습니다. 여행객들에게 추천한다면 저는 이푸도로 합니다. 하지만, 저에게 교토에서 제일 좋아하는 라멘집이 어디냐고 물어보면 저는 시내에서 조금 떨어진 가라코를 말합니다.(〒606-8351 京都府京都市左京区岡崎徳成町１２−３) 저는 대식가이지 미식가는 아니라서 맛에 대해서는 조예가 깊지 않습니다. 맛있다 맛없다 신선하다 신선하지 않다 정도가 제가 할 수 있는 맛 표현입니다. 가라코 라멘의 어떤 육수에, 어떤 재료를 썼는지는 솔직히 잘 모릅니다. 평범한 라멘이라는 것에도 동의합니다. 제가 먹어봐도 다른 라멘보다 대단히 더 맛있다는 생각이 들지는 않습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 제가 제일 좋아하는 이유는 바로 셋트메뉴의 가성비!입니다. 가라코 콤비네이션 은 배를 채우기 위한 최고의 가성비를 갖고 있습니다. 라멘+치킨3조각(가라아게가 아니고 한국의 치킨과 매우 유사한)+밥한공기+무한 사이드 디쉬를 880엔에 먹을 수 있는 메뉴로, 주머니 사정이 여의치 않는 유학생에게는 정말 소중한 존재입니다. 혹시라도 치맥이 그리운 분이라면 한번 들려보세요. 제가 먹어본 교토 음식점의 닭튀김중에서 가장 한국과 비슷합니다. 교토는 이치죠지(一乗寺) 쪽 라멘이 유명하지 않나요? 듣기론 인구당 라멘집이 전국 1위던가... 교토에 머물렀을 때 자주 들렸는데 정말 다양한 라멘집이 있어 결국 다 못 가봤읍니다. 밑의 가게는 교토대 병원 아래쪽 가게군요. 저도 가 봤는데 괜찮았읍니다.
