사진 출처 : https://blog.naver.com/owkkra/220980886939 어제 홍어 나들이 결과가 괜찮아서 점포를 소개해봅니다. 강북구 수유동 강북경찰서 근처에 있는 홍어집입니다. 전형적인 7080 동북권 스타일의 소점포로, 청량리나 제기동이나 종로에 가면 흔히 있을 법한, 어르신들 취향의 가게입니다. 어제 이용객들을 봐도 다들 최소 40은 넘어 보였고 대다수가 60대 이상인 듯 싶더군요.  이렇게 메뉴판만 봐도 감이 오지요. 해서 젊은 축들이 이용하기에는 곰팡내 틀딱내가 날 법도 합니다만, 그만치로 소탈하고 단란하게 맛난 홍어를 먹을 수 있는 집입니다.  제가 찍은 건 아닙니다만 대충 봐도 홍어 때깔이 괜찮죠. 홍어의 삭은 정도는 그리 강하지는 않아서, 막 홍어 입문 단계를 넘긴 사람이면 적당하고, 자주 먹어 버릇한 사람이면 살짝 아쉬운, 곰삭은 홍어 매니아면 성에 안 차는 정도입니다. 홍어향이 가게에서 물씬 나기에 극도로 묵은 홍어일 거라 크게 기대했는데 실제로는 그렇지는 않더군요. 그래도 육질도 괜찮고 가격도 무난해서 만족스럽습니다. 어제는 사시미만 먹어서 다른 것은 평가 못하겠고...사이드 디시들도 괜찮습니다. 김치, 멸치, 콩나물국이 나오는데, 김치맛이 제법 찰집니다. 남도식으로 젓갈이 좀 들어가긴 했는데 젓갈맛이 아주 강한 건 아니고, 가게 분위기답지 않게 잡맛이 적절하게 갈무리된 감칠맛을 짭짤하게 냅니다. 딱 막걸리 안주나 반찬으로 먹기 좋은 잘 익은 김치죠. 홍어 다 먹고 나서 더 주문하기는 배부르고 여기서 끝내자니 아쉬워서 김치만 거듭 집어먹었는데 그것만으로도 충분하더라고요. 콩나물국과 멸치도 적절히 서포트를 해주고요. 미식을 지향하는 집은 당연히 아니니만큼 대단한 미감 체험을 선사하진 않습니다만, 서민 가정식스럽게 안정적이고 심플한 조합미를 보여줍니다. 멀리서 구태여 찾아갈 정도는 아니고...인근에 사시는 분들이 기꺼운 지인들과 스스럼없이 보면서 막걸리잔 기울이고 싶을 때 가면 괜찮을 법한 가게입니다. 내부가 넓지 않아 여럿이서 가기에는 다소 부적합하고요. 2-4인 정도의 소인원이 가기에 적절할 것 같습니다. 성인 남성 기준으로 2인이면 사시미 소, 3인이면 중을 주문하는 게 적당한 양이고요. 홍어향이 진동하는 가게이기 때문에 옷에 향이 쉽게 배므로 차림에도 유의해야할 것 같네요. 데이트 코스로는...글쎄요. 산전수전 볼 꼴 못 볼 꼴 서로 다 본 가족 같은 커플이나 부부들이 2차 정도로 가서 도란도란 이야기하기에 '어쩌면' 괜찮을지도. 대화하기 나쁜 장소는 아니긴 한데 요즘 저런 곳을 선호하는 사람이 많지 않으니.  좌중앙의 붉은 사각형이 가게 위치입니다. 강북경찰서 맞은 편이라 찾기가 쉽습니다.
