'다방'이라고 하여서 프림 넣은 코오피, 달걀 넣은 쌍화차마시고 DJ있던 그런 곳 아닙니다. 찻집입니다. ////// 종로 인근은 카페 많기로 손꼽히는 지역이지요. 인사동 역시 예외는 아닙니다. 여러 프랜차이즈의 공격적 확장으로 인하여 전통과는 거리가 멀어지게 되었지요. 카페가 이렇게나 많은데도 사람으로 가득 들어차있는걸 보면 놀라면서도 계속해서 사람들이 들어오는 광경에 또 놀라게 됩니다. (카페 사장이 되면 부자가 될 것 같아!) 그러나 이런 현상은 한국인들이 커피를 아주, 몹시, 매우 좋아해서 커피를 마시지 않고는 살 수 없기 때문이 아니라 그저 혼자 또는 일행과 앉아있을 장소가 필요하기 때문이라고 생각해요. 적절한 기온과 맑은 공기가 일 년 내내 이어진다면 바깥도 상관 없겠으나 현실은 미세먼지때문에 눈과 목이 따갑습니다. 여름에는 시원한 곳으로, 겨울에는 따뜻한 곳을 찾아 실내로 들어가야겠는데 가장 만만한 곳은? 카페! 혼자 조용히 글을 쓰거나 책을 읽고 싶은데, 연인과 우아하게 음료수를 마시며 조근조근 사랑을 속삭이고 싶은데 카페는 음악소리도 크고 바로 옆에서 떠드는 사람들의 소리는 더 커서 괴로울때가 있지 않습니까? 그런 분들에게 인사동의 다방을 추천합니다! ////// 긴 서론을 읽어주신데 감사드리며, 인사동과 다방을 즐기는 법에 대해 드디어 본론을 시작해보겠습니다. 인사동을 산책하면서 들어가고 싶은 갤러리가 있다면 그냥 들어가서 구경하시면 됩니다. 저도 처음엔 '들어가도 되나? 입장료를 내라고 하지 않을까?' 걱정했지만 그런거 없으니 편하게 둘러보시면 됩니다. 만약 작가가 앉아있다면 그림에 대해 물어볼 수도 있습니다. 가끔 무척 반가워하며 음료수나 과자를 먹으라고 주는 분도 있는데 재밌습니다. 관람 후 앉아서 다리도 쉴 겸 목을 축이고 싶다면 적절한 찻집을 찾아 떠나봅시다. 보통 건물의 2층 또는 3층에 있더라고요. 인사동 거리를 반으로 나누면 종로쪽보다는 경복궁이 있는 북쪽에 더 많습니다. 가게에 따라 다르지만 좌석을 잘 나누어놔서 안락합니다. 사람 가득한 카페처럼 옆 테이블의 사람과 부딫칠까 걱정이 안 해도 됩니다. 값이 싸지는 않아요. 차 한 주전자에 6,000₩~8,000₩정도. 그래도 카페에서 커피 마시는 가격을 생각하면 감당할 수 있는 가격입니다. 사진에서는 매실차랑 보이차를 마셨는데 매실차는 시원하고 적절히 달아서 좋았고, 보이차는 제가 차알못이지만 맛좋았습니다. 찻잎을 너무 오래 우려내면 떫은 맛이 난다고 하니 참고하시기 바랍니다. 한과도 몇 개 같이 나와서 입이 심심하지 않습니다. 이것은 그냥 평범한 과자맛이었습니다. 다방에서 가장 중요한 것은 분위기죠! 일단 조용합니다. 음악도 켜지 않거나 작게 나옵니다. 사람이 없어서 시장통같은 소음이 없습니다. 차가 싫어서 없는건 아닌 것 같고, 이런 곳이 있다는걸 몰라서 그런듯해요. 저는 차 마시고, 태블릿으로 영화보고, 책도 좀 읽고 한참 시간을 보냈는데 손님은 두 팀이 더 왔을 뿐 여유있었습니다. 마음 한 켠으로는 장사가 안 되어서 가게 접으면 어떡하나 걱정도 했지만요. 나무나무나무로 가득합니다. 상도, 의자도. 분재라기에는 큰 나무도 있었습니다. 돈이 넉넉하다면 사진같은 차판을 사고 싶어요. 환경보호에 일조할 수 있습니다. 카페에 앉아서 마실건데 머그잔에 안 주면 빨리 식으니까 맛이 달라져서 시무룩해지는데, 다방은 일회용품을 안 쓰니까! 이상의 사유로 홍차넷 회원들께 차를 마실 것을 강력히 추천합니다!
