안녕하세요 진로 고민으로 홍차넷 회원분들의 의견을 듣고자 합니다.. 저는 현재 서울 중상위권 대학의 영문과 2학년까지 재학을 마치고 한학기 휴학중인 대학생입니다. 상경계열이 아닌만큼 진로에 불확실성이 있기 때문에 교직이수에 신청을 해두고 합격했었습니다. 사실 저는 사기업에 취직하고 싶은 마음이 많았었기 때문에 상경계열 과목도 다수 수강해두고 본전공+교직+복수전공까지 하려고 했는데 추가 학기의 학비와 졸업이 늦춰지는 것 등등 현실적인 여건상 어렵겠더라구요 그래서 하나를 선택하고자 진로 고민을 할 겸 휴학을 했습니다. 제가 느끼기에 저는 성취나 자기 발전에서 기쁨을 크게 느끼는 사람이라 안정을 추구하는 공무원 성향과는 좀 거리가 있는 것 같지만 선생님이라는 직업이 아주 싫지는 않습니다. 어릴 적엔 꿈이기도 했고 아이들도 좋아합니다. 대입 직후부터 과외, 학원 등의 직종에서 교수력으로 인정받기도 했습니다. (채용면접 경쟁률 40:1이었던 대형어학원에 채용되는 등) 그렇지만 경영 복수전공을 지속하여 취직을 하고 기업 생활의 경험을 가져보고 싶은 마음도 큽니다. 동아리 회장, 과대표 등 리더십이 필요한 자리를 잘 수행하기도 했고 경영학 과목을 수강하며 배운 기업의 생태에 큰 흥미를 느끼기도 했습니다. 사기업 회사원 분들의 말을 들어보면 경력을 쌓아 연봉을 높이며 이직을 하시는 것 같더라구요. 그런 성장에 따른 성취의 프로세스도 마음에 들구요. 그래서 처음에는 교직이수를 포기하고 확실히 기업쪽으로 나아가고자 했는데 어머니께서 많이 걱정하시는 것 같아요. 제가 여자인만큼 아직까지 한국사회에서 결혼, 출산, 육아 후 여성의 경력단절을 무시할 수 없다고 하시면서요. 저도 일정부분 동감하는 바이나, 그런 미래에의 안정성만을 고려해서 선생님이라는 직업을 택해야 하나 회의감도 듭니다. 선생님이라는 직업을 비하하는 것은 절대로 아닙니다! 사명감을 가지고 교직생활하시는 분들을 보면 존경심이 우러나옵니다. 그러나 야욕이나 성취욕이 있는 저에게는 업무강도에 대비한 연봉이 그다지 만족스럽게 느껴지지 않는 것 같아서요.. 아직 제가 어리고 철이 없어서 세상 물정을 잘 몰라 이렇게 생각하는 것인지 궁금합니다. 어떤 진로 설정이 더 나을까요? 일단 인턴부터 해보는 건 어때요? 회사를 다녀보는 것도 진로설정에 도움이 될 거예요. 교사를 안하고 일을 한다고 하면 입사지원에도 이득이고요. 사기업에도 여러 폭넓은 직무가 있는데 그 중에 뭘 하고 싶은지도 고민을 해봐야하는 시기인 것 같아요. 고민을 해보고 그 직무로 인턴해보는 걸 추천하고 싶어요. 2학년 마치고 난 시기도 좋아보여요.
