안녕하세요. 제가 오늘 저희 둘째(8세)에게 폭발을 하고 말았습니다. 오늘은 사실 평소보다도 말도 잘 듣고 밥도 잘 먹었는데, 결국 떼를 쓰는 아이에게 제가 폭발해버리고 말았습니다. 참 슬픕니다. 아직 잘 모르는 어린 아이에게 떼 좀 썼다고 이게 뭐하는 짓인지 하는 생각도 들고...... 저는 사실 몇 달 전부터 재택근무를 하고 있습니다. 그러다보니 자연스레 업무와 육아(11세 여아, 8세 남아)를 병행하게 되었습니다. 처음에는 사실 그 동안 일이 바쁘다고 애들하고 많이 놀아주지도 못했던 시간에 대한 미안한 마음과, 때 늦은 육아 숙제(?)를 한다는 생각에 할만 하다고 또는 좋은 기회다라는 생각을 했었습니다. 그런데 이게 이젠 버겁습니다. 그래서 홍차넷 분들은 어떻게들 생각하시는지 혹은 좋은 방법이 있을지 의견을 듣고 싶습니다. 제 생활을 조금 말씀드리자면, 아침이 되면 와이프는 7시가 조금 넘어 출근하고 저는 아침 6시 반이나 7시반 쯤 일어나서 온라인 미팅을 합니다(미국에 있는 팀들과의 회의를 해야하다보니). 그리고 8시반이나 9시쯤(회의 끝난 후) 초딩 둘을 깨워서 아침을 차려 먹이고 EBS 시청 및 인터넷 학습을 시킵니다(10시 11시쯤이면 끝납니다). 아침 식사를 마친 후 정리하고 저는 다시 일을 하러 방으로 들어옵니다. 점심 시간이 되면 저는 다시 나와서 점심을 차리고 아이들 점심을 먹입니다. 그리고 다시 방으로 들어와 업무를 진행합니다. 그리고 오후4시쯤 되면 나와서 애들 간식을 챙겨줍니다. 오후 5시반 또는 6시쯤 되면 와이프가 퇴근해서 저녁 식사 및 육아의 바톤을 넘겨 받게 됩니다. 사실 처음에 이 생활을 시작할 때 예상하지 못했던 문제는 아이들 아침 점심을 챙겨주기만 하면 끝나는 게 아니라 아이들이 중간중간 제가 업무를 보는 공간으로 쳐들어오거나, 제가 도와줘야할 상황들이 생긴다는 겁니다. 궁금한 것들을 물어보러 오기도하고 둘이서 옥신각신 싸우기도하고, 잠깐 화장실이라도 가려고 나오면 아빠를 외치며 달려들기도 합니다. 그리고 제가 주식 투자를 하고 있다보니 중간중간 주식상황을 짧게나마 모니터링을 하기도 합니다. 그러다보면 제 업무 효율은 계속해서 하염없이 떨어지기만 합니다. 제가 하루에 몇 시간을 집중해서 일하는지도 모르겠습니다. 결국 저는 지금처럼 아이들이 잠든 9시 이후 다시 업무를 처리하러 방에 들어옵니다. 이렇게 하는 일이 많다보니 스트레스는 쌓이는데 어디 쉽게 돌아다니지도 못하겠고, 업무를 많이 못하다보니 초조한 마음이 생기기도 합니다. 오늘도 사실 이런 상황에서 저희 둘 째에게 폭발하게 된거구요. 추가 설명과 함께 상황을 정리해보면, 1. 주식은 그 전에 정상적으로 출근할 때도 중간에 가끔 상황을 확인하면서 업무를 진행할 수 있었습니다. 물론 지금은 재택근무를 하다보니 조금 더 보게 되는 건 사실입니다. 업무에 방해가 안된다면 거짓말이겠죠. 2. 사실 지금 저한테는 육아가 가장 큰 부담입니다. 그 전에는 와이프가 교대근무를 했었고 일주일의 절반정도는 와이프가 도와줄 수 있었지만, 지금은 주간업무만을 하고 있어서 낮시간의 육아는 제가 모두 담당 해야하는 상황입니다. 3. 그 전에 출근할 때는 근처 사시는 아이 봐주시는 이모님의 도움을 받았는데 코로나 터지고는, 그것도 서로 조심하다가, 결국 제가 재택근무 하면서 모두 하게 되었습니다. 다시 이모님의 도움을 받아야할까요? 두서없는 긴 글 읽어주셔서 감사합니다. 충고 및 의견주시는 모든 분들께 미리 감사드립니다. 오후시간은 아이들이 가까운 학원을 가거나 놀이친구가 있거나 그에 맞는 방문선생님이라든가 필요한듯해요.
