(인것같아요) 가 생략되었다고 보아 주시길 바랍니다. 당연히 여러분의 생각과 다를수 있고, 어떤 경우에는 아예 제가 틀린 부분도 있을수 있으니 너그러이 감안하고 보아 주시기 바랍니다. 그리고 개조식으로 쓰려고 했는데 또 개조식으로 맞추려다보니 문장만들기 어려운건 그냥 서술하듯 썼어요. 1. 영화평 - 영화 한줄평 : 정말 재미있는 영화 - 좀더 긴 영화평 : 어렵고 불편하고 난해할줄 알았더니 의외로 엄청 재밌는 영화. 그런데 숨겨진 상징, 의미또한 매우 풍성한 영화. 마치 누구나 쉽게 깰수있는 라이트한 게임이면서도, 매니악한 유저들이 파고들 도전요소는 풍성한 명작게임을 보는듯. - 영화 보는 내내 머릿속에 맴돌던 단어 : 낙수효과 2. 캐릭터별로(다른 캐릭터까지 따로 파려면 너무 힘들어서 기생충 가족만… 간단하게) 1) 아들 - 우리사회의 ‘학벌’ 중심주의를 뚜렷하게 풍자. - 학력위조 비판. 부잣집 딸(또는 아들) 과 결혼해서 한방에 인생역전하는 판타지를 대표 - 배우가 마녀에서는 별로라고 생각했는데 여기에서는 연기 인상깊게 잘함 2) 딸 - 예술계의 허영을 뚜렷하게 풍자. - 사실 그 외에 발견할만한 메시지는 딱히 기억안남 - 많은 분들이 언급하지만 똥물 역류하는 변기 깔고앉아 담배피는 씬… X나 카리스마 있어 진짜…. 3) 아버지 - 가족을 위해서 많은 것을 시도해 보았으나 결국 실패하고 가로막힌 캐릭터. - 실패와 좌절로부터 괜찮은 척 하지만, 엄마가 바퀴벌레라고 도발할 때 표출한 분노는 인간으로서 남자로서 진짜였음. 하지만 이내 자신의 분노를 넣어두고 아빠의 자리로 돌아감 - 송강호의 연기는 정말 훌륭했지만, 송강호에 대한 기대치 딱 그정도의 연기였다고 생각함. 배우에 대해서 새로운 재발견이라던지, 더 큰 충격이나 감동 그런건 딱히 없었음 4) 엄마 - 개인적으로는 이 영화가 ‘엄마’ 에 대해 다루는 시선이 인상적이었어요 - 마지막 칼부림 장면에서 당연히 엄마는 살해당할줄 알았음 - 그러나 강인한 엄마는 스스로 그 위기에서 피해내고, 역으로 범인을 찔러 죽이는 영웅적인 활약을 함. 투포환 선수였다는 경력도 이런 활약의 훌륭한 복선이 되어줌 - 메달까지 딴 경력이 있음에도, 평범한 한 가정의 어머니로 살아가면서, 영화 내에서 온갖 사건이 펼쳐짐에도 불구하고 엄마다움을 유지했던 캐릭터라고 생각함 - 소품 클로즈업은 보통 감독이 의미를 부여하기 때문이라고 생각. 집에 홍수에 잠길때 클로즈업 되었던게 엄마의 메달이었는데, 다시한번 그 가족을 향한 엄마의 희생을 찰나의 순간에 보여주었다고 생각함. - (기억 틀릴수있음) 영화초반 온가족이 같이 먹던 맥주 브랜드가 필라이트인데, 주인집을 장악하고 아들딸은 삿뽀로에 양주 먹는데 엄마는 그대로 필라이트먹음. 이건 우리가 바라는 ‘변치않는 어머니’ 상을 투영한 아이템이 아닐까 생각함 5) 다른인물들 - 이선균 연기논란이 조금 있는것같은데 저는 너무 마음에 들었어요. 일단 이미지도 목소리도 캐릭터에 잘 어울렸다고 생각해요. 능력있고 가정적이면서도 너무 비정상적으로 착해서 굳이 깎아내리거나 하고 싶지도 않은, 이 시대 사람들이 좋아할만한 부자 캐릭터. 저 사람들 착한 사람들이다 좋은 부자들이다 하는 소리가 저절로 나올법한 캐릭터 잘 연기해냄 - 조여정의 부잣집 엄마 캐릭터는 딱 기대할만한, 스테레오타입에 가까운 캐릭터였다고 생각함. 미워할 요소는 없는 어리석은 부잣집 딸내미. - 부잣집 아들딸 왜이리 잘생기고 이쁨; 특히 기존 가정부 쫓겨날때 아들내미 베란다에서 얼굴내미고 있는 장면에서 영화관에서 감탄사 여기저기서 터짐 '아 잘생겼어..' - 다른 기생충 무리인 전 가정부 부부... 이들과의 충돌부터 영화 분위기가 확 반전되는데 캐릭터로서의 이들은 결국 숙주-기생충의 관계가 언뜻 상호 편리한 공생관계처럼 보이지만 근본적인 부조리함과 부당함에 대해 일깨워주는 역할을 하고 있다고 봐야겠지요. 3. 인상깊던 장면들 - 역시나 가장 인상깊던 장면은, 자신이 살던 지하실을 설명하면서 이 곳이 편하고 좋다는 식으로 말하는 기존 가정부 남편의 대사 장면이 아니었을까. 부자와 권력자들의 상에서 떨어진 부스러기를 먹으면서 거기서 웃고, 즐기고, 섹스하며 살아가는 데 만족하는, 그리고 그 부스러기를 위해 투쟁하는 기생충들의 모습을 직유법으로 보여주는 장면. - 역시나 그 ‘선넘기’ 와 ‘냄새’ 라는 아이템이 부자와 기생충의 경계를 명확하게 선그어놓는 아이템이겠죠. - 그런데 영화보면서 소름돋았던건 나 스스로도 송강호 보면서 ‘그래, 선넘으면 안되지’ 생각하고 있었다는 겁니다. - 이선균에게 와이프 사랑하느니 어쩌느니 할때 ‘이사람 선넘네’ 라고 이선균이 대사치기 전에 내가 먼저생각함. 송강호가 그래도 선 안넘을때 ‘잘하고있어’ 라고 칭찬했고, 선을 넘을랑말랑 조여정 손목을 덥석 잡을때 ‘미쳤어?’ 했고, 이선균에게 칼을 쑤셔넣을때 ‘대체 왜?????’ 라고 생각했어요. - 이선균이 그어놓은 선은 제 스스로 생각했을때, 그리고 제 기준에서는 우리 사회에서 당연히 넘지 말아야할 선이라고 생각. 대체 이 선을 누가 정했길래 이다지도 나는, 우리는 그 선을 충실히도 지키고 있는 것일까. - 또 봉준호 감독이 따로 특별하게 언급했던 '반지하' 라는 공간의 특수성, 그리고 지상과 지하를 오가면서 수직적으로 구성해낸 영화 연출 같은건 다른분들, 다른글에서도 훌륭히 설명하고 있어서 뭐 제가 더 부연하는건 딱히 의미없을것 같음 - 여담으로 폭우로 홍수날때 물이 차오르면서 화면전환 되는 장면에서 진짜 연출 미쳤다고 생각함 - 그리고 마지막으로 아들이 수석을 물속에 돌려놓고, 작심하고 노력해서 성공해서 주인집을 사버린 다음에 아버지를 지하실에서 끌어올리며, 모두가 행복하게 살았습니다 라는 헛된 희망과 망상을 반지하에서 하면서 끝나는 엔딩연출은 마더의 관광버스 엔딩을 뛰어넘는 봉준호 최고의, 아니 한국영화에서 가장 소름돋았던 엔딩 연출중 하나였던 것 같아요... 4. 대체 무엇이었을까? (의미를 유추하기 어렵거나, 영화에서 명확하게 보여주지 않은 것들에 대한 궁금함) - 아들이 주인집 딸내미 과외할때 박소담이 장미꽃이라면 너는 (끄적끄적) 뭐라고 했길래 꼬시는데 성공했을까요? - 지하실에 묵혀둔 매실액 등등 담금술이나 과일 발효액들의 의미는? 영화중에서 몇번이고 등장하고, 마지막에 살인자가 벌컥 벌컥 들이키는 장면도 있는 것으로 보아 감독이 의도한 메시지가 있을것으로 생각되는데 유추가 잘 안되네요 - 수석 - 이 수석... 영화 극초반부에서 극후반까지 내내 등장하고, 몇번이고 클로즈업되고, 살인(미수) 에도 사용되고, 아들이 끌어안고, 아들이 물 속에 돌려놓고, 영화 포스터에도 등장하는 영화 내 등장 소품중에서 가장 중요한 핵심 아이템이라고 할수 있는게 아마도 수석이라고 생각해요. 그럼에도 비교적 직유법으로 이 사회를 풍자하는 이 영화에서 이 메인아이템인 수석이 의미하는 바가 저에게 명확하게 와닿지 않더라고요. 아무리 생각해도. - 제가 유추한 바로는 수석은 ‘딱히 큰 의미없는데 큰 의미 있는듯 하는것’ 을 역으로 대표하고 있지 않은지… 원래도 그냥 돌덩이일 뿐인데 사람들이 의미부여해서 집에다 모셔놓는 것처럼, 이 영화 소품으로서의 수석도 그 진짜 의미는 딱히 큰 의미 없음에도 마치 엄청 중요한것처럼 영화 내내 사용됨으로써, 무겁기만 하고 딱히 유용하지도 않고 큰 의미도 없는 걸 이유도 모른채, 중요한지 아닌지 알지도 못한채 짊어지고 살아가는 가난한 이들의 짐스러움을 근본적으로 표현하지 않았을까. - 인디언, 보이스카웃, 모르스부호로 연결되는 이 아이템들의 연결고리와 풍자가 분명 있어보이는데 여기까지는 아직 생각의 고리가 뻗쳐나가지 못했어요 - 이외에도 뭐 무수한 디테일과 상징, 은유가 가득한 영화이므로 내가 생각하지도 못한, 또는 같은 아이템이라도 다르게 받아들인 많은 사람들과 이야기 나누면서 더욱 풍성해질 영화인 것 같네요. 읽어주셔서 감사합니다! 저는 수석을 다음과 같은 두 가지 의미로 받아들였습니다.
-상류층 문화와 하류층 문화를 구분하는 장치. 수석은 육사를 나온 할아버지에겐 장수와 부를 가져다주는, 비싼 가치를 가진 물건이지만 기우네 가족에게는 돌멩이에 불과. 차라리 먹을 거나 사오지 하는 말이 두 집안의 문화가 다르고 가치체계가 다르다는 것을 의미.
