저는 난이도는 중간으로 하고 모든 전투, 퀘스트, 이벤트를 다 했는데 36시간이 나왔어요. 일반적으로 플레이타임은 30~40시간 사이라고 하니 저도 딱 평균치로 한듯 싶네요. 소감부터 말하자면, 요태까지 한 게임 중에 제 마음 속 탑5 안에 꼽을 수 있겠어요. 위쳐3, 블러드본, 뉴베가스, 앨런웨이크, 쓰론브레이커 요렇게. 쓰론브레이커는 CDPR의 카드 게임 '궨트'를 기반으로 해서 만든 스탠드얼론 게임이에요. 게이머는 메브 여왕이 되어서 닐프가드의 리비아-리리아 침공을 막아내야 하지요. 스포 없이 말하려니 좀 단조롭긴 한데, 쓰론브레이커의 가장 큰 장점은 스토리가 정말 훌륭하다는 점이에요. 위쳐3도 게임 스토리로 굉장히 뛰어났지만 쓰론브레이커는 거기서 한 발 더 나아갔어요. 전자는 주인공 위쳐 게롤띠의 서사에 집중하기 때문에 보다 커다란 세계관이 선악 구도가 대강은 보이는, 다소 평면적이었어요. 세계 정세의 운명과 관련해서 중요한 몇몇 선택에는 답으로 보이는(=평균의 게이머가 만족할) 정선지가 존재했죠. 한편, 쓰론브레이커의 주인공은 여왕이고 군대를 이끌며 나라를 다스려야 하지요. 다양한 이해관계를 조율해야 하는 입장에서 보다 게이머에게 도전적인 선택을 요구합니다. '당신은 차악을 선택했습니다'라는 문구에서 확인할 수 있다는 듯이 말이지요. 전쟁 당시의 어수선한 정황, 피정복민과 정착민들의 갈등, 비인간 종족과 인간과의 갈등도 깊이있게 그려냈더라구요. 위쳐3할 당시엔 예상치 못한 결과에 통수 맞은 적은 가끔 있지만 선택이 그리 어렵진 않았는데, 여기서는 통수는 당연지사고 매 선택이 정말 현실적이고 고민되었어요. 그래서인지 여왕 메브에게 몰입이 정말 잘 되더군요. 다만 스토리가 본격적으로 물이 오르는게 1막 종반부부터라서 초반에는 좀 지루할 수도 있겠다 싶습니다. 마치 위쳐3 초반의 벽이 그리핀 전투인 것처럼 말이지요. 그리고 4막은 종반부 직전까지 좀 쳐집니다. 스토리상 어쩔 수 없는 구간이긴 한데 아무튼 여왕이랑 같이 엄청 스트레스 받았네요 ㅡㅡ 인물 구성도 다양하고 입체감있어요. 특히 능글능글한 개스콘과 돈 키호테같이 저돌적인 아이크가 마음에 들더군요. 스토리는 더할나위가 없지만, 많은 사람들이 공통적으로 지적하듯이 게임 플레이 부분은 스토리에 비해 조금 아쉬웠어요. 이것도 위쳐3이랑 비슷한 점인가... 쓰론브레이커는 크게 '표준(및 약식) 전투'와 '퍼즐'이 있어요. 저는 모든 맵의 모든 요소를 다 깨야 직성이 풀리는 성격인지라 하나도 안 스킵하고 했는데, 2막부터 슬슬 귀찮다가 4막에 이르러서는 그 맵의 분위기에 걸맞게 진짜로 짜증이 나더군요. 보니까 난이도를 쉬움으로 하면 전투를 스킵할 수 있다던데, 이벤트/스토리진행 전투((느낌표, 물음표 표지)를 빼고는 일반 인카운터 표준전투(쌍검 표지)는 스킵하길 추천드려요. 이렇게 질리는 이유가 (1)스토리 빨리 진행하고 싶다 (2)내 카드는 너무 좋고 (3)상대 덱의 아키타입이 한정적(닐프가드/귀쟁이/괴물/기타등등) (4)무엇보다 너무 쉽기 때문인 것 같아요. 그래도 1막의 이벤트 괴물전, 4막의 스토리 괴물전, 그리고 최종보스전투는 꽤 도전적이고 재밌었어요. 각각 전용 전투 브금도 있고. 일반 인카운터 표준 전투는 영 별로라서 스킵을 추천드렸지만, 이벤트/스토리 진행의 전투를 꼭 해보라는 이유는 상황에 걸맞는 구성과 연출이 다수 등장하거든요. 카드 게임판에서 보여줄 수 있는 연출의 극한이라고 해도 아깝지 않아요. '퍼즐'은 하스스톤의 모험 모드, 묘수풀이와 비슷해요. 4~5막에서 좀 날림으로 만든 퍼즐도 몇 개 보이는데 대체로 재밌어요. 또 한 가지 아쉬운 점인지 좋은 점인지 모르겠는데 자동 저장이라 한번 한 선택을 물릴 수가 없어요. 다시 보고 싶은 장면도 못 보고 ㅠㅠ. 저는 4막에서 마음에 들었던 전투를 유투브로라도 다시 보려고 했었는데, 저랑 같은 선택을 해왔던 사람이 없어서 '그대로' 재현하지 못해 못내 아쉽더군요. 그리고 한글 더빙도 무척 좋았습니다! 서양권 애들은 이런 몰입감을 항상 겪었을 거라니 너무 부럽더라구여. 다만 개인적으로 게롤띠 목소리는 좀 어색했는데, 흠...인떠레스띵..하는 영어 목소리에 길들여져서 그런가 싶기도 하고.. 브금도 좋아요! 개스콘 전투 테마(ost에 없음..)와 채종보스 전투 브금, 4막 괴물 보스 브금이 특히 마음에 들더라구요. 따로 사운드트랙을 살 필요는 없고 본편 사면 함께 줘요.  마지막은 귀여운 댕댕이 내복이를 드리고 끝내겠습니다.
