이번 글은 언제 쓸 지 고민이 참 많았습니다. 클래식 33라운드 직전에 써볼까도 했지만 원래 생각한 대로 33라운드 마무리 된 이 시점에서 쓰게 되었습니다. 국가대표 경기도 있고, 스플릿 라운드도 확정되었지만, 그것보다 더 중요한 2개의 소식부터 짚어보려고 합니다. 인천 아시안게임 대표팀과 리우 올림픽 대표팀의 초반을 지휘했던 이광종 감독이 지난 9월 26일 별세했습니다. 인천 아시안게임을 무실점 전승우승으로 마무리 하고 리우 올림픽을 위한 23세 이하 대표팀의 감독자리를 맡았는데, 태국에서 개최된 킹스컵에 참여하던 중에 급성 백혈병을 진단받아서 A대표팀의 신태용 코치에게 감독직을 넘겨주었습니다. 이후 병세가 호전되었다는 소식이 들려오기도 했지만 끝내 이겨내지 못하고 세상을 떠났습니다. 탄탄한 수비를 바탕으로 선수에 전술을 맞추는 스타일로 특출난 재능을 가진 선수 하나 없이 꾸린 팀으로 경기는 지루한데 성적이 좋아서 '성과왕 갓광종'이라는 반쯤은 놀림섞인 별명이 붙기도 했는데요. 앞으로 국가대표 감독자리에 가장 어울리는 감독이라고 생각했기 때문에 더더욱 안타까운 소식입니다. 지난달 30일 연맹 상벌위가 전북의 심판 매수사건에 대한 징계를 발표했습니다. 검찰에서 무리하게 승부조작과 연관시키려고 했다가 결정적인 증거를 찾지 못해서 법원에서도 집행유예까지밖에 선고를 하지 못했고, 연맹은 이 선고를 바탕으로 이번 시즌의 승점 9점 삭감과 제제금 1억의 징계를 확정했습니다. 솜방망이를 넘어선 구름방망이(...)징계인데, 연맹은 지난 경남FC와 동일한 징계기준이고 죄질이 경남과 비교하면 약하기 때문에 합리적인 결정이었다고 해명했습니다. 징계 시기도 매우 늦었고 수위도 낮기 때문에 축구팬들의 반발과 비난이 상당한데, 큰 책임은 지기 싫고 싱겁게 끝날 이번 시즌의 우승경쟁 열기를 끌어올려보겠다는 연맹의 얄팍한 생각이 눈에 보이는 건 뭘까요. 장난합니까 지금? 연맹은 이번에 강등을 시키거나, 사건이 벌어진 시점인 2013년의 기록을 삭제하고 그로 인해 얻은 상금 등의 이득을 회수하거나, 하다못해 경남처럼 다음 시즌의 승점 삭감이라도 했어야 했습니다. 그런데 달랑 9점? 그것도 이번 시즌에? 시즌 순위에 크게 영향도 주지 않을 승점만 깎고, 겉으론 앞으로 다시는 같은 일이 벌어지지 않도록 노력하겠디는 심각한 표정을 짓고 속으론 이번 시즌 우승경쟁을 주목시키게 만들어 놨다고 히히덕 거리고 있겠죠. 매수팀 응원하고 매수 조작리그 본다고 평생을 조리돌림 당할 팬들 생각은 하기는 한 건가요? 한웅수부터 시작해서 허정무까지 연맹이 축구판 다 망치고 있습니다. # 국가대표  먼저 9월 A매치부터 간단히 돌아보고 넘어가죠. 지금부터 쓰는 글들은 [어디까지나 제 개인적인 감상평입니다]. 중국전(서울월드컵경기장/3 : 2승) Best : 지동원 오재석 정성룡 Worst : 기성용 장현수 손흥민 3 : 0까지 화끈하게 몰아치다가 60분 즈음부터 체력이 떨어지는 모습을 보이더니 중국의 맹추격을 받다가 경기가 끝나는 롤러코스터 경기였습니다. 라인업 발표 후에 사람들의 의문을 자아냈던 두 명이 있었는데, 지동원은 이리저리 뛰어다니면서 많은 공간을 만들어 주었고, 정성룡은... 없었으면 이 게임 졌을겁니다. 아마 시리아전(말레이시아 세렘반 파로이 스타디움/0 : 0 무) Best : 이용 김승규 Worst : 기성용 경기 시작하자마자 침대를 시전하는 시리아 골키퍼의 위대한 활약으로 졸전 끝에 무승부. 90분 내내 몰아쳤으면서 유효슈팅이 시리아보다 적다는 걸로 설명이 끝날 것 같네요. 시리아의 역습 땐 김승규의 선방이 있었고, 후반전 중반 이후부탄 이용 혼자 축구하더군요(...). 3월엔 불안불안하고 6월에 거품이 슬슬 걷히는 분위기였는데, 9월 A매치로 문제점이 한꺼번에 터졌습니다. 9월 A매치에서 없었던 게 4가지였습니다. 전문 풀백이 없었고, 중거리슛이 없었고, 제대로 된 세트피스 전술이 없었고, 팀에 리더가 없었습니다. 슈틸리케 감독도 쓸데없이 명장놀이하고, 교체타이밍과 선수 잘못 파악하고, 군사훈련의 위력을 간과하는 등의 실수가 있었는데, 10월 A매치에서 보완할 수 있을지를 지켜봐야 겠지요. 그리고 10월의 경기인 카타르전과 이란전을 대비한 대표팀 명단이 발표되었습니다.
