간만에 아는게 나와서 이렇게 글을 씁니다. 어느나라든 Grid Parity(태양광의 발전비용 < 기존 화력발전원의 발전비용)가 도래하기 전의 태양광, 신재생 산업은 보조금 기반의 산업일 수 밖에 없습니다. 지금까지는 국가의 의지가 그 산업의 현재를 담보하는 사업이 되지요. 아시다시피 이미 한국은 화력, 원자력 발전이 미친듯이 많이 지어져 있고, 유가 하락으로 전력 발전 비용이 싼 편입니다. 전력이 넘치는 상황이고, 신재생을 국내에 지을 의지도 별로 없죠. 전세계적으로 최근에 태양광 발전의 붐이 일어났던 국가는 일본과 미국(캘리포니아)입니다. 일본은 후쿠시마 원전 사태 이후로 빠르게 발전원을 늘릴 필요가 있었고, 오바마 행정부의 지원과 캘리포니아 주정부의 미친듯한 지원러시에 힘입어 태양광 산업이 활기를 띄었습니다. 보조금 시한이 끝나는 연도가 2016년 이었는데, 이걸 연장해 주면서 캘리포니아 지역의 태양광산업 붐은 계속 유지될 전망입니다. 반면 일본은 거의 끝났습니다. 중국은 워낙 인구가 많으니 세계 최대로 설치할 것이긴 합니다. 한국은 몇년전까지 효과가 좋던 고정 보조금 체제를 하다가 현재는 유동적인 보조금 체제를 지속하고 있습니다. 신재생 에너지 설비가 많아지면 보조금이 줄어들고, 설비가 적으면 보조금이 늘어나는 식이죠. 태양광이 잘 보이지 않는다고 말씀하시는데, 한국에도 시골의 쓸모없는 땅과 저수지에 굉장히 많습니다. 프렌차이즈가 퇴직금을 등쳐먹듯, 약 1~2억정도로 땅사고 패널깔고 이러면 안정적인 수익을 거둘 수 있다 이런식으로 많이 팔았거든요. 저수지는 보조금을 몇배로 주고, 투자비 대비 수익이 좋기 때문에 요새 붐이지요. 현황은 이렇고 국가의 정책방향은 에너지 신산업에 돈을 때려넣고 있기는 합니다. 기사 검색해 보시면 깜짝 놀라실 겁니다. 다만 이게 한국내에서는 사업성이 미친듯이 안좋기 때문에, 한국에서 실증까지 돈을 대줄테니, 외국가서 팔아라. 이런 식입니다. 이게 무슨 쌍8년도 마인드인가 싶으시겠지만, 국내에서는 제가 봐도 답이 없어요. 정부 욕을 할 수도 없습니다. 현재 관련 기업들 중에서 가장 잘나가는 회사는 한화입니다. 얘네 터졌어요. 저는 얘네 몇년내에 스텝업한다고 봅니다. LS산전, 효성 등이 전통적으로 전력산업쪽에서 여러가지를 해볼려고 했지만 망했어요. 한국에서는 답이 없어요. SK, KT, LG CNS등 통신 및 네트워크 강자들이 뛰얻들었지만, 지리멸렬 해왔습니다. 인원 뽑다가 오리알 됐어요. 미래도 이럴 것이냐, 그건 아닌 것 같습니다. 위에서 언급했던 다섯개 회사 중에 해외에서 제대로 팔아먹을 수 있는 비지니스 모델을 만든다면 얘네가 지금보다는 훨씬 잘 나갈거에요.
