논평 형식으로 작성하다보니 존칭을 생략하였습니다. 감안하시고 읽어주시면 감사하겠습니다. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 필자가 학교를 다니는 2000년대 초반, 선생님께서는 ["21세기는 정보화시대가 될 것이다. 모든 것이 정보화, IT화 되서 영화에서나 꿈꿔왔던 시대가 올 것다"] 라고 말씀하셨다. 그 당시까지만 해도 초등학생 시절에는 백과사전, 전과, 도서관에 있는 책을 통해 정보를 습득하였고, 중학생이 되면서 인터넷을 통해 정보를 습득하였다. 2016년 현재. 인터넷의 발달로 세상은 그 어느 때보다 급속도로 발전하였으며, 정보화시대에 도착하였다. 지구는 인터넷이라는 공간에서 지식과 정보가 넘치며, 원하는 물건이나 정보를 인터넷을 통해 얻을 수 있는 세상이 되었다. 이제는 PC뿐만 아니라 핸드폰으로도 쉽게 정보를 접할 수 있으며, 정보의 양 또한 무궁무진하다. 막대한 양의 정보와 지식을 바탕으로 2010년을 지나며 컨텐츠가 핵심이 되는 시대로 오고 있다. 급속한 발전과 막대한 양의 정보의 부작용으로 점차 ["정보의 신뢰도의 하락"]이 생겨났다. 2000년대 초반만 해도 네이버 지식인과 같은 지식을 공유하는 사이트가 많은 이들의 관심을 가졌고 정보를 공유하였다. 그 당시만 해도 정보에 대해 많은 사람들이 정보에 대해 크게 의심을 갖지 않았다. 하지만 지금은 많은 페이지에서 같은 정보를 다르게 기술하기도 한다. 관리자가 입력하는 정보가 아닌 사용자가 입력하는 형태인 "위키"는 재미있고 다양하게 전달 할 수 있지만, 주관적인 의견이 들어갈 수 있다보니 해당 정보의 대한 신뢰도는 떨어질 수 밖에 없다. 특히 정치나 사회부분에 대한 정보에 대해선 작성자의 가치관이 많이 반영되다보니, 위키의 해당 문서는 하루에도 몇번씩이나 수정되는 경우가 많다. 어느정도만 공부하면 (어쩌면 인터넷 검색을 통한) "전문가"라고 자칭하는 사람들에 대해 과연 우리는 신뢰할 수 있는가? 또한 페이스북이나 디시인사이드와 같은 커뮤니티를 통해 정보를 접하는 사람들은 왜곡된 정보를 접하기가 쉽다. 왜곡된 정보를 습득함으로써 잘못된 인식이 생기게 되고 올바르지 못한 방향으로 판단하고 의견을 내는 경우가 발생한다. 이 문제에 대해서는 나이가 어려질 수록 더욱 심각한 문제가 된다. 최근 어린 학생들 중에선 커뮤니티를 통해 웃긴 정보를 접하다 보면, 자연스럽게 왜곡된 정보를 접하게 되고, 그럼으로 인해 성인들이 보기에 말도 안되는 장면을 목격하기도 한다. 왜곡된 정보로 인해 현재의 수 많은 정보들은 점점 신뢰도를 잃어가고 있다. 페이스북에서 종종 발생하는 댓글전쟁이라던지, 다양한 시각으로 생각하지 않고 단편적으로만 싸우는 논쟁 등등.. 이 모든 것들이 신뢰를 잃은 정보로 인해 발생한 문제들의 이유 중에 하나라고 생각된다. 수많은 정보. 그리고 왜곡. 신뢰받는 정보가 많을 수록 우리의 삶은 풍요로워지고 발전할 것이다. 하지만 왜곡을 통해 신뢰도가 사라진 정보들로 넘쳐난다면 우리는 더이상 인터넷으로 부터 정보를 습득하기 어려울 것이다. 당장 포털사이트의 뉴스에서도 언론사에 따라 사건의 내용을 천차만별로 분석한다. 물론 다양한 시각의 뉴스 기사는 중요하겠으나, 그 내부적으로 봤을때 과연 다양한 시각인지 아니면 왜곡된 정보와 관점으로 작성하였는지 판단할 수 있는가? 필자는 시간이 흐를수록 정보 습득에 대해 두려움이 생긴다. [우리의 정보는 과연 신뢰할 수 있는 정보인가?] 정보화 시대에서의 신뢰하는 정보를 걸러서 습득할 수 있는가? 이미 정보의 신뢰도는 하락하였고, 인터넷 커뮤니티를 통해 영향이 나타나고 있다. 또한 시간이 흐를수록 정보의 신뢰도는 사라질 것이다. 인터넷 선진국, IT강국이라고 자랑할 수 있었던 대한민국. 어쩌면 우리는 정보의 신뢰도를 잃음으로써 선진국이 아닌 후진국으로 가고 있는 것일지도 모르겠다. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 맺음말) 강의들으며 틈틈히 작성하다보니 글이 영 맘에 들지 않습니다. 제가 전달하고 싶었던 내용이 잘 전달되었는지 걱정이 됩니다. 아무래도 글을 많이 쓰거나 자주 쓰는 사람이 아니다보니 그럴지도 모르겠습니다. 카테고리를 저의 생각이 담긴 글이다보니 일상쪽으로 선택했습니다.
