12-7. 이건 제 개인적인 경험이니 별로 객관적이진 않습니다만, 그래도 이야기를 해야겠군요. 자꾸 평범한 사람들이 다수에 의해 박해를 당하는 식으로 프레임이 짜이니까요. 그 선글라스 남은 추모현장을 두고 "꿀잼"이라고 했습니다. 사람들은 그걸 두고 화를 내면서, 뭐가 꿀잼이냐고 계속 다그쳤구요. 꿀잼이 꿀잼이죠~ 라면서 이야기를 했고, 여자분은 굉장히 화를 냈습니다. 사람들은 추모 현장에 왜 왔냐고, 뭐가 그렇게 꿀잼이냐고 계속 이야기했고 선글라스남은 "아니~ 꿀잼이냐고 물어보니까 그냥 대답한 거에요~ 지금 물어보고 있잖아요~" 라고 했습니다. (전 꽤나 가까이 있었습니다) 선글라스 남은 추모현장에 온 이유를 "그게 진짜 추모일 수도 있는데 아닐 수도 있고~" 라고 했고 전 정말 화가 나서 소리를 질렀습니다. 그걸 네가 뭔데 판단하냐고. 리더격이던 민머리 남자는 "아니 여기에 메갈이나 여시가~" 라고 했고 사람들은 전부 다 폭소했습니다. 전 별로 웃음이 안나왔지만, 그만큼 사람들에게 그 일베회원들의 이야기는 황당하게 들렸다는 이야기입니다. 이런 식인데 어떻게 여기서 메신져를 떼어놓을 수 있을까요. 일베가 지금 메갈, 여시 걱정할 사람들인가요. 친척 누나 동생 사진 도촬해서 인증하고, 여동생 방에 밀웜 푸는 사람들인데. 저는 앞으로 일베와는 어떤 이야기도 하고 싶지 않아요. 그들의 실체를 부분으로나마 직접 봤으니까요. 12-8. 핑크코끼리를 둘러싼 여론을 보면서, 저는 대한민국의 시위를 보도하는 보수언론이 계속 생각나더군요. "폭력시위" 이 단어 하나면 거기에 어떤 맥락이 있건 그 시위는 이미 폭도들의 만행이 되어버립니다. 영상을 다시 한번 보세요. 정말로 폭행이라 불릴만한 것이 있었는지. "폭행"과 "실랑이" 중 어느 단어가 더 적합해 보이시는지요. 제가 "미안하다 사실 네 뒤통수 때린거 나였다 탈이 잘 흔들리는지 궁금해서" 라고 쓴 일베 다른 회원의 글을 가져와야 할까요. 왜 모든 맥락을 제거하고, "폭행"을 당한 것처럼 다들 이 사건을 바라보시는 걸까요. 저 핑크코끼리 탈을 쓴 사람의 행동을 보고 과연 이성적으로 행동할 수만 있었을지요. 저로서는 이 일련의 흐름이 이미 짜맞추어진 프레임대로 흘러간다고밖에 보이지 않습니다. 12-9. 왜 이 사건에서 "도발하는 측"을 읽지 못하실까요. 세상 어느 누가 추모하는 자리에, 다른 이를 추모하는 화환을 보내는지............ 핑크코끼리부터 해서, 이런 도발을 그저 참고만 있으라는 이야기가 너무 많이 들립니다. 물론 그것이 성숙한 태도죠. 하지만 우리는 온라인에서도 일베의 행위를 듣고 참지 못해 욕을 날립니다. 그런데 현장에서, 현장을 훼손하려는 도발을 어떻게 참고만 있을 수 있나요. 그리고 그 도발의 맥락을 무시한 채, 도발의 결과만을 처음과 끝으로 압축해서 사건을 나르는 분들을 전 봅니다. 이래이래해서 이렇게 되었다 - 가 아닌, 이랬다 - 로 모든 가치판단이 끝나버리는 워딩들이요.  일베의 모든 행동은 정치적 토론으로 상대를 이기는 게 아닙니다. 도발하고, 법적 수위를 넘게 한 다음, 오로지 뭔가를 망치는 게 전략의 전부입니다. 이미 우리가 알던 일베의 면목과 연속됩니다. 이걸 두고 자꾸 피해자로만 바라봐서는 안됩니다. 세상을 달리 보셔야 합니다. 원하는 사건들을, 원하는 대로만 해석하고 계신 건 아닐까요. 그렇게 수도 없이 고인능욕하고, 여성혐오하던 일베가 과연 이 상황에서만 갑자기 신사적이고 평화적으로 바뀌었을까요?        저는 추모의 현장을 두고 일베 및 다른 이들의 수많은 위협에 대한 증언을 봅니다. 어떤 동영상이 어떻게 짤려서, 그게 일베에서 어떻게 편집이 되어서 유통되는지를 계속 듣습니다. 현재 떠도는 이야기들을 듣고 어떤 결론을 내렸는지, 한번 생각해봐주세요. 누가 나쁘다, 이런 이야기 아닌가요?다시 말씀드리지만, 굳이 일베만의 문제도 아니에요. 그러니 일베 욕하고, 다른 사람들 욕한다고 해결되는 게 아닙니다.이 사건을 어떻게 해석하고, 그 입장들을 어떻게 받아들일지가 중요하다는 겁니다. 13-1. 이 여론의 흐름에서 이미 많은 분들이 프레임의 함정에 걸렸다는 것을 느낍니다.  메갈이 있고, 여시가 있고, 워마드가 있고, 일베가 있다. 거기서 주어들을 다 빼버리고, 수식어로 이들을 표현하면 됩니다. 정말로, 메신져를 떼놓고 액션을 보면 됩니다. 추모하자는 사람들이 있고, 추모하는 사람들이 있고, 추모를 방해하는 사람들이 남습니다. 13-2. 이걸 못하면, 이번 사건의 흐름을 절대 이해할 수 없게 됩니다. 메갈, 워마드, 여시가 선동을 했고 어떤 사람들은 거기서 추모를 하지만 거기는 사실 사람 탈을 쓴 혐오론자들의 각축전이 되고 거기에 일베가 갔고, 욕먹을 짓을 한 것도 같지만, 그래도 이 일베의 이야기는 들어야하는데 이들에게 폭력을 쓰는 이들이 있다. 그런데도 사람들은 점점 이들의 선동에 휩쓸려서 그 추모의 열기가 거세지고 여자들은 상관없는 이야기를 이때다 싶어서 털어놓는다. 좀 신기하지 않나요? 어떻게 하필이면 이 때 사이트에 파리날리고 자기 사이트도 못챙기는, 사람들이 다 싫어하고 그러던 사이트들이 전국적으로 여론을 좌지우지하고 대한민국의 여성들을 손에 움켜쥐고서 남혐 메시지를 주입할 수 있다는 게. 어떻게 여자들은, 사람들은 계속 이렇게 선동될까요? 우둔해서? 음모론을 계속 고집하면 자가당착에 빠지게 될 수 밖에 없어요. 이게 바로 제가 현장에서 들은 일베의 논리입니다. "여기에 메갈이랑 여시가....." 그런데 그게 뭐 어쨌다는 건가요. 그 사이트 회원이 추모하면 추모가 추모가 아니게 되나요? 13-3. 전 너무나 끔찍한 주장들을 봤습니다. 이 사건을 두고 그들이 세를 확장할 수 있으니 좋아할 거라던............. 그런 분들께 말씀드릴게요. 메갈리아의 대부분은 여자고, 워마드의 대부분도 여자입니다. 남자인 사람들보다 이 사건에 더 깊이 공감하고 더 힘들어하고 더 분노합니다. 이 사건을 두고 자기 일처럼 뛰는 사람들이 어떤 정치적 주장을 하건, 그 주장이 아무리 얼토당토하지 않던, 그런 식의 도구화를 하지 마세요. 그런 상상은, 그런 상상을 하는 사람들이나 입밖으로 꺼낼 수 있는 사고방식입니다. 왜 본인이 "도구화를 한다"는 본인의 상상에 누군가의 죽음을 도구로 쓰는 건 깨닫지 못하시나요. 13-3. 저는 이 사건을 두고, 안철수의 중립론과 비슷한 입지의 주장들을 많이 발견합니다. 나는 그 어느 쪽에도 속해있지 않은 채로, 둘 모두를 비판하고 화해를 제시하도록 하겠다. 그런 게 가능한가요? 이 세상은 이분법으로만 돌아가지 않습니다만, 양 쪽의 선택지밖에 없는 경우도 아주 많습니다. 많은 사안에서 선택의 지점은 매우 간단합니다. 갈라질 수도 있습니다. 그리고 궁극적으로는 딱 하나의 선택지만이 남습니다.
