https://new.redtea.kr/tm24_2/17245 를 읽고 생각난 오케이에 대한 이야기입니다. (탐라에 쓰다가 길어져서 티타임으로..) 골프치는 사람으로써 골프의 컨시드(오케이)문화는 진행을 빨리 시키려는 골프장측의 거대한 음모가 아닌가, 반쯤농담으로 다들 골프장으로부터 무의식적으로 가스라이팅을 당해서 그렇게 생각하게 된거 아닌가, 싶은 생각까지 하게 됩니다 ㅋㅋ (덤으로 내 스코어를 실제보다 더 좋게 보이고 싶은 과시욕구도 포함되지만.. 이것도 좀 스포츠중에 특이한 케이스이긴 한데요. 볼링칠때 스코어를 더 올려보이려고 조작을 시도하진 않잖아요?) 실제로 오케이를 마구 줌으로써 골프 재미의 많은 부분이 없어지는건 사실이라고 생각합니다. 개인적으로 좀 잘치는 친구들이랑 치거나 3인경기를 칠때는 가끔 오케이 없는 경기를 해보기도 하는데요, 원래는 당연히 오케이 받고 끝날 상황에서 숏퍼팅 하나하나를 정말 손에 땀을 쥐는 긴장감을 가지고 치게 되는데, 이게 정말 꿀잼입니다. 당연히 들어갈 줄 알았던게 새는 일이 비일비재하기 때문에, 갑자기 그 홀의 승패가 뒤바뀌는 온갖 드라마가 생겨나기도 합니다. 물론 오케이 받던 때보다 전체 스코어는 다같이 나빠지지만... 그건 그 전의 스코어가 의미없는 사기 스코어였던것 아닐까요? 다같이 좋게 올려쓰는 스코어가 사실은 무슨 의미가 있는지 잘 모르겠습니다. 한가지 더, 일상생활에서 오케이를 주고받는것에 큰 불만은 없지만 가끔 홀에 퍼터를 걸고는 퍼터 길이보다 짧은데 왜 오케이를 안주냐고 항의를 하는 분을 보면 정신이 좀 아득해지기도 합니다. 그 과정에서 홀이 망가지는건 차치하고, 아니 애초에 오케이는 상대방이 '주는'것인데 마치 '당연히 받아야할 권리'가 있다고 잘못 생각하시는 분도 꽤 많은듯 하여서... (본인 퍼터길이가 오케이라는 룰은 없어요! 그럴거면 길다란 브룸스틱 퍼터를 당장 사러가야겠죠!ㅋㅋ) 첫홀(혹은 심지어 마지막홀까지)에 전원 '파'를 기록해주는 일파만파 문화도 참 웃긴데 (볼링으로 치면 "자 첫 프레임은 다같이 기분좋게 스트라이크로 찍고 갑시다~" 라고 하면서 스코어보드를 조작해서 전원이 다 같이 스트라이크로 만들어주는 문화) 뭔가 골프라는 운동 자체가 생활체육이 아니라 돈많은 고위층 아저씨들+접대문화로 시작한 게임이다보니 과시나 체면을 중요시하는 문화가 많이 녹아있는것일까, 그런 생각도 하게 됩니다. 저는 개인적으로 주로 편한 친구들과 많이 치고, 내기도 별로 안하다보니 자연스럽게 '있는 그대로 스코어를 적는 것'에 초보자때부터 워낙 익숙해져서 더 그런 생각을 하게 된것 같기도 합니다. 다른 것 보다, 결국 골프는 구멍에 공을 넣는 것이 목적인 스포츠인데, 컨시드 하다보면 하루 종일 골프를 쳤지만 구멍에 공은 한 번도 못 넣어보는 일도 생기는 것 아닌가요? 골프 안 치는 입장에서는 그럴거면 그거 왜 하나 싶은 생각이 드는 것은 어쩔 수 없네요 ㅋㅋ
농구를 하는데 수비수를 멋지게 제쳐서 골밑으로 돌파해 들어가니까 상대편에서 어 너 슛 안 했지만 노마크니까 골 인정 해줄게 하는 거 아닌가 싶은....ㅋㅋㅋ 제가 골프를 안 쳐서 이렇게 생각하는 것일 수도 있지만요.
