파편화되는 사회에서 과연 과연 집단을 제대로 대표할 수 있는 리더라는게 존재할 수 있을까요? 파편화 될 수록 중앙값, 평균값에 수렴하는 리더는 정작 선출될 가능성이 없어지는 것 같습니다. 이로 인한 문제가 이제 사회 곧곧에서 나타나고 있는 것 같아요. 2010년 초반까지는 그래도 각 사회 집단의 대표들이 뭔가 절차적 정당성을 넘어 자기 집단의 표준적인 모습을 보이려는 노력 같은게 있었던 것 같은데 2020년대 부터는 각 사회집단의 리더/대표들의 의견이 과연 저 집단의 의견이 맞나 하는 의구심이 커집니다. 과연 지금 사회의 리더/대표들은 그 집단의 일반적인 의견을 대신한다고 할 수 있을까요? 없다면 과연 대안은 무엇일까요.. 정보가 넘치고 의견 교류가 너무 쉬워 지다 보니 새로운 부작용이 생겨나고 이를 극복할 방법은 없는 과도기에 있다는 생각이 문득 듭니다. 정보화 사회 (너무 오래된 단어이긴 한데) 이후 개인에게는 자신의 확증편향을 마음껏 강화할 수 있는 환경이 마련되었고, 확증편향의 개인이 뭉친 각 집단(또는 집단의 리더)은 이를 1,000% 활용하고 있습니다. 모든 집단의 종교화 - 넷도 이젠 각 커뮤니티/SNS 에서 매일같이 기도 드리고 설교 듣는 예배당일 뿐이죠 - 라고 봅니다.
