안녕하세요. 이제는 자타공인 만년필 덕후로 낙인찍힌 SCV 입니다. 뭐 한 차례 광풍(?)이 지나가고 이제는 뭐 그런일이 있었지 정도가 될거라고 생각했던대로 하루만에 훅 지나갔네요 덕분에 타커뮤 댓글수집도 해보고 다양한 사람들의 다양한 이야기도 보고 재미가 있었습니다. 만년필을 처음 사서 손에 잡은게 1999년 즈음이니까, 대충 만년필 인생이 20년을 조금 넘었군요. 2017년엔가, 처음 AMA 게시판에 만년필 덕후 선언을 하면서 그동안 써온 만년필에 대한 경험담을 적었었는데, (https://new.redtea.kr/ama/476) 그로부터 또 5년이 지났네요. 이번엔 좀 더 읽기 편하고 간단하게, 브랜드별로 사용한 기종에 대한 간단평을 써볼까 합니다. 1. LAMY 1) 비스타 12 EF (Demon) - 가장 좋은 입문기중 하나입니다. 스틸촉의 한계는 명확하나 길들이는 쾌감은 있습니다. 투명바디는 오래되면 노랗게 변색되는게 아쉽습니다. 2) 라미 2000 EF x2 - 많은 사람들이 방출 후 또 영입한데는 이유가 있습니다. 그러나 닙은 여전히 호불호가 갈리네요. 손에 땀이 많이 나는 사람에게는 최상의 선택입니다. 3) 다이얼로그3 EF - 구형 다이얼로그는 캡에 결함이 있는 수준이었습니다. 신형을 저가로 구할 수 있다면 괜찮을듯 합니다. 다만 멋있어보이기 위한 제품 이상도 이하도 아니라고 생각하는게, 닙이 가격대에 비해 빈약한 편입니다. 4) 사파리 EF, F, 컬시브 - 만인의 입문기 답게 쓸만합니다. 요새는 가품이 돌 지경이라지요? 한자용 닙이라는 컬시브닙을 구해봤는데 더욱 쓸만합니다. 2. Pelikan 1) M205 EF (Demon) - 만인의 초급기. 바디도 닙도 훌륭합니다. 잃어버리고 다시 구하지 못한 M205 투명데몬은 여전히 그립네요. 2) M405 EF, F, M (Darkblue) - 만인의 중급 입문(?)기. EF보다는 F를 추천합니다. 그리고 F보다는 M을 더 추천하고요. 3) M805 F (Black/Bluestripe/Demon) - 만인의 중급기. 이정도는 있어야 만년필 덕후 소리를 들을 자격이 있다고 생각합니다(?) 800부터는 그 아래 라인과는 격을 달리하는 필감을 보여줍니다. 4) m1931 M (Yellow Gold, Ltd. No. 3682) - 미친 가격, 미친 입수 난이도, 미친 필감.. 으로 정의할 수 있을거 같습니다. 써보면 아우라가 엄청납니다. 다만 기계적 완성도가 간혹 아쉬울 때가 있습니다. 5) m101n F (Lizard / Tortoiseshll Brown) - 자녀들에게 물려주는 용도라 실사용은 안 해봤습니다. 디자인 하나 만큼은 정말 예쁩니다. 다시 구하기 힘든지라 구할 수 있으면 마련해놓는 것을 추천드립니다. 6) Script 1.5mm (Blue) - 캘리그래피 뿐만 아니라 크고 곧은 글씨를 쓰는 용도로 좋습니다. 특히 악필인 저에게... 우편물 봉투 글씨 쓰는 용도로는 정말 제격이더군요. 아무리 악필이라도 글씨를 바르게 쓰도록 만들어줍니다. 3. Parker 1) Vector F (Black) - 바디가 얇아서 좋습니다만, 제대로 된 입문기라고 하기에는 부족함이 있습니다. 막쓰기에는 부담없어 좋은 점은 있네요. 2) 45 F (Flighter - Old USA, 1999 / Burgundy F - Old England, 1982) - 구관이 명관이라고 해야 할까요. 사실 최근 이녀석보다 가성비 좋은 녀석들을 찾기가 힘들 지경입니다. 신형 45보다는 구형 45가 훨씬 낫지요. 쉽게 분해가 잘 되어 관리가 편하다 보니 40년을 넘게 현역으로 써도 괜찮을 정도입니다 (저 버건디의 생산년도를 봐주세요...) 장만할 수 있으면 꼭 장만하시기 바랍니다. 3) Frontier F (Black / Luna Grey) - F 닙조차도 무척 굵고 흐름이 좋았던 기억이 있습니다. 내구성도 괜찮았고 20여년이 지난 현재까지 현역으로 굴려도 이상 없을 정도의 초급 입문기인데, 현재는 단종인게 아쉽네요. 5) Duofold Centennial Pinstripe M (Navy) - 종이를 좀 가리는 편이기는 하지만 좋은 종이를 만나면 장군님의 풍모를 보여줍니다. 다만 신품가의 가치를 하는지는 약간 애매하네요. 케이스가 무척 크고 웅장합니다. 6) 51 복각판 - 코어 F (Blue) - 51의 이름에 먹칠을 해도 유분수지.. 라는 생각이 듭니다. 뭐 저는 오리지널 51을 써본 적은 없긴 하지만요... 헛발질 좀 나아지게 다듬으면 보듬어줄 만한 펜이 되나 싶었는데 그게 잘 안되네요.. 4. Sailor 1) Profit Young EF (Black GT) - 초급 세필 입문기. EF가 F가 되도록 많은 필기를 하는 시간 동안에도 한 번을 삐딱선 타지 않고 잘 버텨준 가냘픈 바디에 경외감이 듭니다. 2) Profit 21K EF (Black GT) - 많이 쓰지 않아서 쓸말은 없지만, 무난한 세일럿의 세필 중급기 바로 그것이 아닐까 합니다. 3) Professional Gear Slim EF (Black CT) - 세필 중급 입문기. 손이 크신 분들에게는 아무래도 작습니다. 손이 작은 사람들에게는 찰떡일 듯 합니다. 4) Professional Gear F (Black GT / Black CT) - 세필 중급기. 방출해도 자꾸 손으로 돌아아오는 부메랑 같은 녀석입니다. 5) Professional Gear Saibitogi (Black GT) - 바늘에 잉크를 찍어 쓰는 느낌이거늘, 어찌하여 부드러움이 내비치는지? 하이테크를 후려치는 얇은 펜선의 균일함과 필감은, 다시 만나고 싶은 첫사랑과 같은 그것이 아닐까 싶습니다. 6) Professional Gear Realo GT F (Black GT) - 세일러에서 피스톤필러가? 하는 마음에 들였지만 잉크 주입방식만 바뀐 프로기어입니다. 새로운건 없지만 안정적인 맛은 있더군요. 7) Caligraphy Color 후데 MF 55도 (Green) - 한자를 멋드러지게 쓸 수 있는 사람이라면 한 자루 쯤 가지고 있어도 좋을듯 합니다. 해서를 쓰실 줄 안다면 잘 어울릴 것 같네요. 5. Pilot 1) 823 F (Transparent Demon) - 잉크는 세상에서 제일 많이 먹는 친구입니다.. 경성인 필감에 손목이 아프긴 했지만 오래 미친듯이 써내려가기에는 이만한 친구가 없는, 만년필계의 기관총입죠. 2) Capless F (Kasuri Balck / Matt Black) - 캡레스 하면 파일럿, 파일럿 하면 캡레스죠. 얇고 손에 착 감겨오는 바디는 정말 멋집니다. 다만 다음에 기회가 있다면 꼭 우드 바디에 M닙을 사보고싶네요. 6. Aurora 1) 88 Demonstrator Nera (888-N) F (Ltd. No. 200, 333) - 같은 한정판을 두 자루 산 데에는 다 그만한 이유가 있는거 아니겠습니까 ㅎㅎ. 오로라의 역작이라고 생각합니다. 눈감고 쓰면 연필인 줄 착각할만한 독특한 필감과 아름다운 바디는, 경외감마저 드네요. 2) (비 만년필) 88 Demonstraion Sketchpen Nera (881-N) (Ltd. No. 106) - 888-N 만년필 덕에 함께 들인 스케치펜 입니다. 몽블랑 스케치펜의 멋짐에 감히 비할 바는 아니나 888-N의 좋은 짝이라고 할 수 있습니다. 7. Montblanc 1) Meisterstuck p146 Diamond LeGrand F - 몽블랑은 역시 몽블랑이었습니다. 필감은 준수하고 게다가 캡탑의 다이아몬드 로고는 더욱 멋지네요. 가성비가 좋다고는 못하겠지만, 성능에서 오는 만족감이 매우 큽니다. 2) Meisterstuck Solitaire Blue hour LeGrand F - 미쳤습니다. 혼을 빼앗는 만년필이라는게 있다면, 블루아워가 아마 그중 하나일 것 같다는 생각이 듭니다. 필감은 가히 149조차도 압도한다 말할 수 있을 경지이고요. 다만 무게가 146+149 랑 같아서 어지간한 손목힘으로는 장시간 필기를 버티긴 쉽지 않습니다. 3) Meisterstuck 146 OM - 오블리끄가 주는 필감은 너무나 쫀쫀합니다. 누구라도 도전하기 쉽지 않겠지만 누구든 하나씩은 꼭 있어야 할게 OM닙이 아닐까 합니다. 4) Meisterstuck p149 F - 한정판이나 특별판을 제외하고 King of Pen 을 꼽자면 149가 첫번째로 거론되는 이유를 알 것 같습니다. 멋드러짐, 필감, 손에 감기는 느낌 뭐 하나 빠질게 없습니다. 만년필 덕후라고 어디서 자랑을 하려면 한 자루는 꼭 있어야 할, 바로 그것입니다. 5) (비 만년필) Meisterstuck Platinum LIne Leonardo Sketch Pen - 구하기 힘들어서 더욱 가치가 있습니다. 전용 가죽 커버 밖으로 슬쩍 보이는 캡탑의 몽블랑 로고가 정말 멋집니다. 쥐었을 때의 그립감도 훌륭하고 무게감이 있는 만큼 손맛도 있는 편입니다. 8. Platinum 1) Preppy EF - 감히 최강의 세필 만년필이라고(?) 칭할 수 있을것 같습니다. 아니 세상에 이 가격에 이 굵기에 이 필감이 가당키나 한가요. 가성비로는 이 세상의 모든 만년필이 프레피님 앞에서 무릎을 꿇어야 합니다. 2) Curidas M (Blue) - 파일럿 캡레스를 위헙할 신흥 강호가 아닐까 싶습니다. 플라스틱 바디와 스틸닙인 것과, 엄청난 길이와 덩치가 다소 아쉽긴 하지만, 캡레스 하나 살 돈으로 큐리다스 세 자루 사고도 돈이 남을 지경인걸 감안하면 충분히 멋진 녀석입니다. 그리고 M닙의 필감은 버터를 바른 듯 하네요. 다음엔 좀더 좋은 소재의 바디에 길이와 두께를 살짝 줄이고 금촉을 탑재한 개선품이 나오면 좋겠습니다. 9. Sheaffer 1) Intrigue F - 컨버터인듯 피스톤필러인듯 신기한 잉크 주입방식을 가졌습니다. 하지만 마감이 별로고 유격이 있어서 불만족스러웠던 기억이 한가득 있네요. 2) Vlaor F (Black GT) - 인레이드 닙 특유의 낭창거림이 재미있었지만, 전반적인 만족도는 높지 않았었습니다. 10. FaberCastell 1) Emotion Chrome F - 손 큰사람들의 좋은 입문기라고 생각합니다. 우드 바디가 끌린다면 더욱 추천하고 싶네요. 비교적 비싸지 않은 가격에 마련할 수 있는 좋은 제품입니다. 11. Graf von FaberCastell 1) (비 만년필) Perfect Pencil Magnum Black - 펜슬이 진짜 욕이 나올랑 말랑 하게 비싼데, 막상 써보면 왜 이게 돈값 하는 가성비 제품인거 같지? 하는 생각이 자꾸 듭니다 12 까렌다쉬 1) (비 만년필) 픽스펜슬 - 사실 제품별로 재질과 색깔만 다르고 거의 동일합니다. 홀더 펜슬 중에서는 제일 작고 얇고 예쁜 편이라 온 가족이 하나씩 쓰고 있네요. 아직 샤프펜슬이 이른 초등생들에게 연필 대신 좋은 친구가 되어주는 제품입니다.
