 미스터 션샤인을 드디어 다 봤네요. 보통 제가 넷플릭스에서 보는 드라마는 단기간에 몰아보든가 몇화 안에 탈락하든가 둘중 하나입니다. 그런데 이 드라마는 이례적으로 몇 달에 걸쳐서 느릿느릿 다 봤습니다. 현시점에서 3~4년 된 드라마지만 장단점 위주로 감상평 써봅니다. [장점] 1. 화면이 예쁘다. 모든 화면이 다 예쁩니다. 지나치게 예쁩니다. 굳이 예쁠 필요가 없는 화면도 예쁩니다. 사진이나 영상 공부하시는 분들에게 굉장히 참고가 될 것 같습니다. 예쁜 화면만을 위해 조명의 방향이 상황에 맞지 않게 설정된 경우가 꽤 많습니다만, 영화도 아니고 드라마니까 익스큐즈해줍시다. 드라마의 이런 '예쁜' 점이, 후술할 단점인 우울함을 많이 커버해 줍니다. 2. 배우들의 훌륭한 연기 배우들의 연기가 훌륭합니다. 이름값들을 생각하면 당연히 그래야 할 것도 같지만, 분명한 장점입니다. 외국어 연기가 많은데, 비교적 무난한 연기들을 보여줍니다. 사실 일본어를 잘 알아듣는 분들은 어눌한 일본어 연기가 꽤 거슬릴 수도 있습니다. 하지만 이런 배역들에 실제 일본인을 캐스팅하긴 어려우니 감안해야겠지요. 모리 타카시 역으로 나온 김남희 배우의 어설픈 한국어와 영어 연기는 대단했습니다. 이병헌은 영어를 아주 잘 하지만, 극중 포지션으로 봤을 때 영어 실력과 한국어 실력이 정반대였으면 더 설득력 있었겠다는 아주 좁쌀만한 아쉬움이 있습니다. 3. 잘 잡힌 캐릭터 등장인물의 캐릭터들도 매력있게 잘 구축되어 있습니다. 처음 제시된 캐릭터들이 극이 흘러가면서 다소 변해가는 면이 있는데, 납득할 만한 변화입니다. 어떤 드라마에선 캐릭터가 너무너무 잘 잡혀서 '얘네를 그냥 카메라 앞에 풀어놔도 알아서 드라마가 진행될 것 같다' 할 때가 있는데(동백꽃 필 무렵을 보면서 그렇게 느낌), 그 정도는 아닙니다. 4. (일부 오류에도 불구하고) 괜찮은 시대고증 제대로 고증해내기가 꽤 까다로운 구한말을 다룬 드라마입니다. 그럼에도 시비를 걸자면 제법 있겠지만, 이 작품보다 잘 고증해낸 작품을 본 기억은 없네요. [단점] 1. 우울할 수밖에 없는 시대배경 시대배경부터가 해피엔딩을 기대하기 어렵습니다. 주인공 일행이 뭔 짓을 해도 국운은 저물어갈 뿐이라는 것은 모든 시청자가 알고 있습니다. 그러니 마음 편히 보기가 어렵습니다. '나라는 망했지만 주인공들은 상관없이 먼 나라로 도망가서 행복하게 자기들끼리 잘 살았답니다.' '주인공들이 합심하여 나라를 팔아먹고 떵떵거리며 행복하게 잘 살았답니다' 이런 엔딩이 나올 수는 없으니까 자연히 엔딩으로 가는 마음도 무거워집니다. 2. 시대극의 측면에서 사람과 집단과 국가가 단면적으로 묘사되어 아쉬움 일본 제국주의를 다룬 한국 드라마의 숙명인가 싶기도 하지만, 일본과 친일파에 대해서는 순수한 악의 화신에 가깝게 묘사합니다. 상대적으로 다른 열강들이나 정치주체들은 방관적, 혹은 조선 친화적으로 묘사됩니다. 고종은 망해가는 조선을 어떻게든 살려 보려 하는 사려깊은 인물로 나옵니다만, 세간의 평과는 좀 동떨어졌지요. 주인공 일행에게 초점을 맞춰 내러티브를 단순화해야 하니 어쩔 수 없는 면이 있었겠습니다만.. 사실 이런 시대를 다루면서 정치적으로 균형있게 묘사해낸 영상물은 본 적이 없어서 익스큐즈.. 아니 애초에 이 시대에 대해서 그런 게 가능한지도 모르겠습니다. 3. 중반부의 늘어지는 구성 초반부에는 흡입력있는 설정 때문에, 후반부에는 그나마 회복된 전개속도 때문에 볼 만합니다만, 중반부의 늘어지는 구성이 자연스런 하차각을 만들어줍니다. 한 편에 70분이 넘는 드라마가 24편 구성인 것도 요즘 트렌드상 엄청 긴데, 박진감있고 궁금하고 쫄깃한 구성이 적어서 보다가 지치는 느낌을 받습니다. 탄력 받아서 몰아보게 되는 드라마는 아닙니다. 한줄요약 늘어지는 템포, 우울한 배경에도 불구하고 모든 장면이 예쁜 수작 이상의 드라마. 구한말로의 여행을 원한다면 추천 Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 133 Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 146 Warning: Use of undefined constant vote - assumed 'vote' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 161 1 이 게시판에 등록된 비형님의 최근 게시물 |
