4년만에 한국에 왔습니다. 오랜만의 방문이라 그런지 단점들이 좀 눈이 띄더군요. 미국에서는 운전을 하지만 한국의 좁은 도로폭과 주차 면적(전면 주차만 해봄) 때문에 쫄아서 운전을 못 했는데 도대체 왜 이렇게 사람들이 차를 많이 끌고 다닐까 싶을 정도로 탁월한 대중교통 시스템에 감탄 했습니다 다만, 도보 이동 동안에 정말 보행자 배려 1도 없는 운전자들에게 많이 실망 했네요. 예를 들면, 횡단보도 앞에서 대기 하고 있으면 멈춰 줘야 할텐데 그렇지 않으니 아이 컨택 이라도 해서 분위기를 파악해야 하는데 어찌나 썬팅이 짙게 되있는지 운전자 얼굴 윤곽도 파악이 안되는 경우가 부지기수 더군요. 두 번째는 흡연 관련한 불만인데, 미국도 길거리 흡연자들 심심치 않게 보지만 도보의 폭이 넓어서 피해 갈 수 있는데 반해 게임 속 장애물 들 처럼 여기 저기 자리 잡고 금연 표시 정도는 가뿐히 씹으며 담배 피는 모습에 정말 짜증나더군요. 마지막으로 금융 관련 업무 처리하면서 불필요한 과정이 너무 많은 것이 좀 아쉽더군요. 기관들의 보안 관련 책임을 소비자들에게 떠 넘기는 것 같아서요. 그러나 대면 업무 처리하시는 분들이 친절하고 헌신적(?) 이여서 딱히 힘들지는 않았습니다. 나름 짜내서 불만 사항 좀 적어봤는데 어느 나라에도 다 있을 법한 일이네요. 이제 다시 돌아가야 하는데 아쉬움 한 가득 입니다. 얼른 경제적인 안정을 얻고 은퇴해서 다시 돌아오고 싶습니다.
