꽤 오래 전에 홍차넷 질문게시판에 왕좌의 게임 정주행은 시즌 몇까지 하는게 좋은가 물어보는 글을 올렸고, 많은 분들이 정성스럽게 답변해주셨습니다. 그래서 늦었지만 후기를 짧게나마 올립니다. 참고로 아이폰 + 구글 크롬캐스트 2세대 조합으로 사용했습니다. 1. 왓챠 후기 1.1 넷플릭스 구독을 꽤 오래 하다가 더 이상 보고싶은게 없어서 구독 해지했었는데, 왓챠 시작 페이지를 열어보니 넷플릭스에는 없었던 재밌어보이는 컨텐츠가 정말 많았습니다. 넷플릭스 질리신 분들에게 좋은 대안이라고 생각합니다. 1.2. 그런데 너무 불편했습니다. 1.2.1. 넷플릭스는 시청 중에 언제든지 정지하거나 앱을 끄면 마지막 시청했던 곳부터 다시 볼 수 있는데, 왓챠는 같은 기능이 있지만 상당히 자주 오작동했습니다. 예를 들면, 1화부터 4화 32:32까지 연속으로 보다가 일시정지했는데 시간이 좀 지나서 앱을 종료되었고, 나중에 다시 돌아와보면 마지막 시청했던 곳이 2화로 표시되어 있습니다. 1.2.2. 재생 중 네비게이션 기능이 불편합니다. 이전에 봤던 곳을 찾으려면 가로 스크롤바를 움직이면서 찾아야하는데, 스크롤바 이동 중 썸네일 표시가 바로바로 안되고 상당히 오래 걸립니다. 그리고 열심히 찾아서 스크롤하고 손가락을 떼면 매번 스크롤바가 튀어서 다른 곳으로 이동하고... 그래서 쉬었다가 다시 볼 때마다 짜증이 엄청 났습니다. 1.3.3. 컨텐츠 페이지가 시즌별로 다르게 나옵니다. "왕좌의 게임" 페이지에서 시즌을 선택하는게 아니라 "왕좌의 게임: 시즌x" 페이지를 찾아야 합니다. 그래서 시즌 넘어갈 때마다 검색 탭에서 검색을 해야하는게 불편했습니다. 1.3. 결론적으로 아무리 재밌는게 많아도 제 시청 환경에서는 드라마 정주행 할 때 너무 스트레스를 많이 받아서 무료체험 이후 바로 해지했습니다. 2. 왕좌의 게임 후기 2.1. 3박 4일동안 시즌 6까지 보는걸 목표로 했는데 시즌 4에서 멈췄습니다. 한 화에 대충 50분이라 잡아도 4시즌 40에피소드 보려면 28시간이 걸리더라구요.... 먹고 자는 시간 빼고 쉬지 않고 보고있으니 체력이 후달려서.... 너무 재미있고 행복한데 점점 집중도 안되서 결국 2박 3일만에 포기하고 남은 1박 2일은 밀린 집안일 하면서 쉬었습니다. 2.2. 재미는 있는데... 보면서 인종차별, 성차별적인 느낌이 들어서 묘하게 불편했습니다. "이런 저런 내용이 차별적이야"라고 딱 꼬집을 수는 없지만 이상하게 불편하더군요. 그런데 저 혼자 그렇게 생각한 것 같으니까 신경쓰지 마세요. 3. 결론 나중에 또 집에서 혼자 보낼 수 있는 시간이 오면 그 때 왓챠 1달 결제하고 왕좌의 게임 시즌 5~6 보고싶습니다. 왓챠는 너무 불편한데 왕좌의 게임은 너무 재밌어요. 그런데 한 시간씩 짬내서 몰래 보고싶지 않고, 거실에서 빔프로젝터로 틀어놓고 정주행하면서 보고싶은 드라마에요. 끝.
