 이곳엔 해장국 장인들이 많이 계셔서 가끔, 그래서 해장국의 왕이 어디인지를 정해주면 좋겠다는 생각이 들곤 합니다. 가장 많이 언급되는 곳은 청진옥일 텐데 맛이 변했다는 안티들도 많으시고... 저는 사대문 안의 맛집 이야기들은 크게 신뢰하진 않습니다. 맛있긴 하지만 대개가 예전 기자들의 자기들 회사 근처 식당 평이었죠. 장모님해장국은 왕은 아닐 텐데 후보 리스트에는 오를 법합니다. 국물 맛은 깔끔하고 선지가 특히 신선하다는 평입니다. 어머니대성집과 견줄 만합니다. 직접 만든 두부(왜 직접 만드는지는 모르겠지만)가 가끔 서비스로 나오는데 괜찮습니다. 술안주로는 양무침이 대표적인데, 저는 별론데 좋아하시는 분들이 있나 봅니다. 대표 안주로 미는 느낌이었습니다. 저는 생간이 훨 맛있습니다. 메밀전병도 있던데 저는 먹어 보지 못했습니다. 음식 외 이야기 1. 예전에 한번 데려갔던 술꾼이 일요일 오전부터 닥달을 해서 다시 같이 갔는데 "이 천국에 다시 오고 싶었어."라고 하였습니다. 구기터널 입구, 북한산 자락에 위치하여 교외 분위기도 나고 천막 친 야외 테이블도 있고 등산객 손님이 많아 빌딩 숲 사이 식당들하고는 느낌이 다릅니다. 2. 주인장 따님이 미스코리아 출신입니다. 탤런트 생활도 좀 한 것 같아요. 그래서 서빙하는 아주머니들을 유심히 보면서 혹시?? 하는데 그 따님이 근무하지는 않는 것 같습니다. (식당 이름이 이것 때문인가...) 3. 사진 오른쪽 비닐막 쪽이 야외 테이블입니다. 영업을 10시 정도에 마치는데, 일행들과 그쪽에서 계속 술 먹고 있으니 사장님을 비롯하여 아주머니들이 "삼촌, 다 먹고 불 끄고, 문 닫고 나가."라며 퇴장했던 적이 있습니다. 진짜 천국인가? 잠깐 생각했습니다.
