1. 목란 2명이 가서 B코스와 동파육, 탕수육을 먹었습니다. B코스는 게살유산슬, 팔보채, 깐풍기, 크림새우, 짜장면/짬뽕, 후식 입니다. 예약은 한달 단위로 끊어 하는 중이며, 전화는 거의 불가능에 가깝습니다. 현재 저는 근처에 일하는 중이라 직접 가서 예약을 할 수 있었습니다. 동파육과 군만두는 미리 주문하셔야 합니다. 게살유산슬, 팔보채, 깐풍기, 크림새우 모두 평범합니다. 짜장면 그다지 맛이 없고, 짬뽕은 평범합니다. 동파육은 맛있습니다만, 소자가 4만 5천원 정도 합니다. 레이먼 킴이 극찬했다는 탕수육 역시 그저 그렇습니다. 이연복 주방장이 냄비를 잡았는지는 잘 모르겠습니다만, 그냥 흔하게 A코스, B코스 2만5천원 3만원 하는 정도의 중식당 맛 딱 그 정도였습니다. 목란에 가기 위해 시간을 들여 전화통을 붙잡거나 직접 방문하여 예약할 필요는 전혀 느끼질 못했습니다. 저도 직장에서 가까웠기에 망정이었습니다. 2. 하하 가본지가 꽤 되어서 기억이 나질 않는데, 가지볶음, 탕수육, 군만두, 볶음밥을 먹었던 것 같습니다. 가지볶음, 탕수육, 군만두는 확실히 먹었고, 볶음밥은 가물가물합니다. 가지볶음은 가지를 좋아하는지라 꽤나 맛있게 먹었고, 다들 적당히 먹을만은 했습니다. 다만, 가성비가 좋은 식당이지 특출나게 맛있는 식당은 아닙니다. 저는 줄을 안 서고 먹었기 때문에 별 문제없었지만, 장시간 줄서서 먹을만한 집은 아니라고 봅니다. 최근 확장공사를 했는데도, 짧게 나마 줄이 있긴 하더군요. 3. 향미 하하 건너편에 보다 더 전통있는 중식당입니다. 요샌 어떤지 모르겠는데, 가게는 찼다 안 찼다 합니다. 줄이 길었던 기억은 없네요. 종종 갔기 때문에 먹은 메뉴가 일일이 기억이 나지는 않습니다. 동파육, 멘뽀샤, 우육탕면이 괜찮았습니다. 가지튀김은 가지 안에 다진 고기를 넣은 것으로 속은 괜찮은데 튀김껍질이 별로입니다. 먹을만은 합니다. 소룡포는 괜찮게 먹었던 것 같은데 기억이 나질 않네요;; 깐풍꽃게는 첫입은 괜찮은데 좀 물립니다. 전반적으로 하하보다 가격이 조금 더 나가고, 대신 맛이 좀 더 괜찮지 않나 싶습니다. 4. 구가원 하하 건너편, 향미 옆에 있는 식당입니다. 전반적으로 하하, 향미보다 떨어지는 느낌이었습니다. 다만, 돼지족발탕이 아주 괜찮았습니다. 중국 본토 느낌을 좋아하신다면 이 돼지족발탕이 별미가 될 것입니다. 5. 이품 연희동에서 최근 뜨고 있는 중식당입니다. 일반적인 메뉴이며 가성비가 괜찮은 식당입니다. 하하같은 느낌인데, 가지 튀김 같은 메뉴는 없고 보편적으로 볼 수 있는 메뉴들이 있습니다. 짬뽕은 아주 괜찮았고 짜장, 군만두는 괜찮았습니다. 볶음밥은 그냥 평범했어요. 다른 요리는 먹어보지 못했네요. 6. 라이라이 목란 바로 옆 집이며, 이 게시판에서도 한 번 소개가 된 집입니다. 제가 가본 연남/연희동 일대에서 현재 가장 괜찮은 중국집이 아닐까 싶습니다. 가지튀김도 향미보다 훨씬 잘 튀겼고 칠리 소스와도 잘 어울립니다. 동파육도 살살 녹는데, 단돈 15000원입니다. 막창튀김도 술을 부르는 맛입니다. 크림새우, 유린기, 고추잡채도 괜찮았고, 멘뽀샤는 맛은 있는 편이나 기름이 많습니다. 군만두, 물만두, 찐만두 모두 평타 이상인데, 군만두와 물만두가 더 낫습니다. 탕수육은 맛이 뛰어난 편이 아니므로 제외하는게 낫습니다. 진짜 괜찮은 건 밥류인데, 짬뽕도 아주 괜찮고, 유산슬밥이나 잡탕밥, 라조기밥은 비싸다면 비싼값을 하고도 남습니다. 밥에 유산슬을 얹어 주는게 아니라 유산슬에 밥한공기를 곁들여주는 느낌이랄까요. 하지만, 이 집의 백미는 볶음밥입니다. 파기름을 제대로 코팅한 볶음밥을 드실 수 있습니다.
