아침에 출근하고 회사 이메일을 열었다가 깜짝 놀랬네요. 제 아이디가 보낸 사람으로 해서 니 꺼가 털렸다. 나는 니 컴의 카메라와 마이크를 다 해킹해서 너의 자위 영상을 가지고 있다. 48시간 안에 비트코인을 안보내면 이 영상을 다 뿌리겠다. 라고 하더라구요. 일단 처음에는 굉장히 당황했습니다. 제 컴퓨터에 카메라도 없고 마이크도 없기 때문에 내 영상을 갖고 있는건 헛소리인 건 알겠는데. 다른 것 보다는 메일이 해킹 당했으면 보안이 중요한 내용들도 있어서 큰일이었거든요. 그래서 검색해보니 이런게 혹스(hoax) 메일이라고 해서 2년 전에 굉장히 유행했던 것이고 코로나19 유행 이후로 다시 늘고 있다고 하네요. 대부분 그냥 무시하면 된다는 내용이었습니다. 제가 의문 스러운 점은 1. 일단 메일 비번을 바꾸긴 했는데 추가적으로 어떤 조치를 취하면 좋을까요? 보안 관련... 2. 어떻게 제 이메일 주소를 알았을까요? 제가 회사에서 쓰는 이메일 주소는 2개입니다. 1개는 회사 계정의 제 이름으로 된 제 개인메일, 그리고 하나는 회사에서 공식적인 메일을 보낼때 쓰는 대외용 메일 (저만 사용합니다.) 제 개인 메일의 경우는 제가 사이트 가입할 때 사용한 적이 있습니다. (물론 성인사이트는 단 한번도 가입한 적은 없습니다.) 단순히 메일을 로그인 해놓고 웹서핑 하다가 메일 주소가 털릴 수가 있는 걸까요? 3. 검색한 내용들도 그렇게 나오긴 하던데, 이게 실제로 제 메일이나 제 컴퓨터에 악성코드가 설치됐다거나, 제 메일의 내용이 위험에 노출되어 있다거나 그런건 아니겠죠? 보안이 필요한 일을 하기 때문에 이게 굉장히 중요한 이슈네요... 월도하면서 reddit 같은 곳에서 링크타고 엄한 것을 본적도 사실 있긴 한데... 앞으로는 절대 그러지 말아야겠네요...하고 반성하게 됩니다.
