트레바리라는 유료 독서모임이 있는데 관심이 가는 독서모임이 있어서 다음 시즌에 지원해볼까 생각 중입니다. 근데 비용이 결코 저렴하지 않아서 소위 말하는 '돈값'을 하는지 궁금하네요 ㅎㅎ 일반 독서모임과 확연히 차별화되는 지점이 있어야 할텐데 의외로 그렇지 않다는 후기도 보이네요. 혹시 유료 독서모임 경험 해보신 분들이 있으면 분위기 귀띔받을 수 있을까 해서 질문 올려봅니다. 비문학 한 번, 문학 한 번 해봤습니다.
나쁘진 않았습니다. 그동안 만나보지 못했던 유형의 사람들을 만날 수 있는 기회였습니다.
제가 좋았다고 생각하는 점은,
1. 책을 꼼꼼히 읽는 기회
혼자 책을 읽으면 책을 다 읽고 아 그렇구나 하고 던져 버리기 일쑤인데,
다른 사람들과 생각을 나눠야 하니 아무래도 더 꼼꼼히 읽게 됩니다.
독후감도 올려야 참가할 수 있으니 생각도 정리하게 되고요.
2. 같은 책을 읽고 다르게 생각하는 사람들을 만날 기회
사실, 같은 책을 읽고 그 책에 대해서 이야기를 할 경우가 거의 없기 ... 더 보기

3. 안전한 관계
아무래도 그 모임에 참가하는 사람들은 인생에서 다시 볼 일이 거의 없는 사람들이다보니
'앞으로의 관계'를 감안하여 하지 못할 말이 없었습니다. 집단상담에서 처럼요.
이게 이 모임의 최대 장점이었는데요. 딱 4달만 만나니까요.
다른 집단에서와는 다른 모습의 '나'가 될 수 있었습니다.
그럼 좋은 점만 있느냐. 문제점으로는
1. 비싼 참가비
어떤 분들에겐 분명 부담이 될 수 있는 비용입니다.
그런데 그정도는 되야 사람들이 아까워서라도 참가하더군요.
그럼에도 불구하고 첫달은 15명 정도 오다가 세번째 달 정도에는 3~4명 정도 오기도 합니다.
2. 복불복 참가원
이건 어쩔 수 없죠. 복불복입니다. 좋은 사람들이 많으면 그만큼 모임의 질이 올라가고, 아니면 똥망.
다른 목적(?)으로 참가하는 분들도 꽤 됩니다. 아무래도 연령층이 그러니까요. 그것도 나쁘게 보이지는 않습니다.
첫달에 대부분 출석하는데 아무래도 다들 힘좀 주고 나오더군요.
3. 체력
시간이 짧지 않아 체력이 필요합니다.
뒷풀이까지 하고나면 녹초가 됩니다.
한번쯤 경험해보시는 것도 나쁘지 않다고 생각합니다.

그것만으로도 충분히 괜찮았습니다.
3. 안전한 관계
아무래도 그 모임에 참가하는 사람들은 인생에서 다시 볼 일이 거의 없는 사람들이다보니
'앞으로의 관계'를 감안하여 하지 못할 말이 없었습니다. 집단상담에서 처럼요.
이게 이 모임의 최대 장점이었는데요. 딱 4달만 만나니까요.
다른 집단에서와는 다른 모습의 '나'가 될 수 있었습니다.
그럼 좋은 점만 있느냐. 문제점으로는
1. 비싼 참가비
어떤 분들에겐 분명 부담이 될 수 있는 비용입니다.
그런데 그정도는 되야 사람들이 아까워서라도 참가하더군요.
그럼에도 불구하고 첫달은 15명 정도 오다가 세번째 달 정도에는 3~4명 정도 오기도 합니다.
2. 복불복 참가원
이건 어쩔 수 없죠. 복불복입니다. 좋은 사람들이 많으면 그만큼 모임의 질이 올라가고, 아니면 똥망.
다른 목적(?)으로 참가하는 분들도 꽤 됩니다. 아무래도 연령층이 그러니까요. 그것도 나쁘게 보이지는 않습니다.
첫달에 대부분 출석하는데 아무래도 다들 힘좀 주고 나오더군요.
3. 체력
시간이 짧지 않아 체력이 필요합니다.
뒷풀이까지 하고나면 녹초가 됩니다.
한번쯤 경험해보시는 것도 나쁘지 않다고 생각합니다.
