의사선생님들이 많으신 홍차넷에 질문 드립니다. 전 현재 28살 대학생이고, 고등학교 2학년 때 공황장애를 심하게 앓았습니다. 환청까지 들릴 정도였구요. 그 이후에도 미미하게 피해망상적인 생각, 광장공포증 등의 증상이 나타나긴 했지만, 현재는 거의 사라지고 미미하게 나타나는 증상들은 인지행동치료를 통해 배운 방법론으로 잘 대처하고 있다고 생각합니다. 그래도 극복 안 되는 것은 남들이 보기엔 예민하고 꼼꼼한 성격 정도로 비춰지는 편이라고 합니다. 하지만 불면증은 계속 심하게 남아있습니다. 군 신체검사를 불면증으로 인해 4급으로 받았고 담당 의사 선생님께서는 제 병명을 '만성 스트레스성 불면증'으로 말씀하셨습니다. 현재도 매일 밤 한쪽 짜리 5알과 반쪽 짜리 3알의 약을 복용합니다. 약 이름을 정확히 알진 못하지만 반쪽 짜리 알 중 하나가 졸피뎀이고, 나머지는 신경안정제와 이를 통한 부작용을 방지하기 위한 항우울제로 알고 있습니다. 이렇게 먹어도 평균적으로 일주일에 하루 정도는 밤을 못 자고(특히 다음 날 중요한 일이 있을 때 더 못 잡니다. 발표, 면접, 여자친구와의 첫 데이트 등.), 억지로 잠들기 위해 하루에 2일치의 약을 먹기도 합니다. 물론 간에는 치명적인 타격이 오죠. 2일치의 약을 하루에 먹는 건 부작용이 굉장히 심하다고 담당 의사 선생님이 말씀하셨고, 절대 하지 말라고 당부하셨습니다. 그래도 하루를 잠을 못자면 다음 날은 확정적으로 잠들게 되니 차라리 규칙적인 삶을 위해 하루는 잠을 안 자고, 하루는 잠을 자는 것을 생각해봤습니다. 담당 선생님께서는 말도 안되는 소리라고 일축해버리셨고, 저도 이게 말이 안 된다는건 느끼기는 합니다. 하지만 제 생활 패턴이 불규칙하다는 게 사회생활에서 굉장한 약점이 될 것이라고 생각하고, 제 삶의 질에도 좋은 영향을 끼치지는 않을 것 같습니다. 다행히 하루 정도 잠을 못자도 다음 날 활동에 무리는 없었습니다. 물론 카페인을 과다하게 섭취하긴 합니다. 얼추 계산해보니 밤을 새고 하루 최소 600mg정도의 카페인을 먹어야 활동에 무리가 없더라구요. 그래서 한번 이 멍청한 아이디어를 한번 구현해보려고 합니다. 아직 학생이고 전공과목도 많지 않으니 이 아이디어를 실생활에 옮겨보기에 적절한 시기라고 생각하구요. 관련 논문을 찾아 읽고 싶기도 했지만 제 미천한 영어 실력과 전문용어가 콜라보를 일으켜서 논문 검색 단계에서 실패했습니다. 이 멍청한 실현해보기 전에 홍차넷 의사 선생님들께 여쭙겠습니다. 1. 다른 모든 변수를 제외하고, 이틀에 한 번 자는 사이클이 건강에 어떤 영향을 미칠지 궁금합니다. 2. 카페인을 하루 600mg 이상 꾸준히 섭취했을 때 어떤 부작용이 나타나는 지 궁금합니다. 3. 간수치가 높고, 복용하는 약이 많은 사람이 600mg 이상의 카페인을 꾸준히 섭취하며 이틀에 한 번 자는 사이클을 취했을 때 어떤 부작용이 일어날 지 궁금합니다. 난해한 질문 드려서 죄송합니다. 담당 의사 선생님께 여쭙기 전에 제 생각을 정리해보고자 이렇게 질문글 올립니다.
