전 문외한입니다만 예전에는 인터넷에서 누가 올려주거나, 대학 다니던 시절엔 그런거 좋아하는 사람들이 주위에 좀 있엇어서 주워듣고 그랬습니다. 그런데 요즘에 다시 종종 유튜브 떠돌아댕기다 아무거나 좀 듣곤 하는데 궁금한 것들이 있어서 질문합니다. ㅡㅡㅡ 자기가 어떤 걸 듣고 좋아서 비슷한걸 찾을 때, 이 밴드는 어떤 범주에 포함되는가 하는걸 알아내어 그 키워드로 찾아보면 대개 비슷한 것들이 나오잖아요? 그런데 명쾌히 잘 이해가 안되는 경우들이 많아서 질문드려봅니다. 1. 고딕메탈 같은건 예전에 Theatre of Tragedy의 Velvet Darkness They Fear 앨범 이런게 고딕임! 하는 식으로 알고 있었는데 그냥 평범한 심포닉메탈? 같아보이는? 나이트위시, 1집이후의 위딘템테이션 그런 밴드들도 고딕이라고들 하고 그러더라고요. unsun이라든가 하는 밴드들도 고딕이라하던데... 그럼 에반에센스도 고딕인가요? 예전엔 아니라는 식으로 말하던것 같은데. lacrimosa같은 밴드는 너무 넓어서 뭐가 뭔지 잘 모르겠고요...ㅎㅎ 한참 예전에도 몇몇곡 들어보고 넘어가서 잘은 모릅니다만... 하여간 Theatre of Tragedy 비슷한 밴드들을 찾아보고 싶었는데 다들 너무 차이가 커서 기준이 뭔가 궁금합니다. 2집말고 약간 더 말랑해진 3집도 좋아합니다,, 2. 멜데스 쪽에서도 그로울링/스크리밍이랑 클린보컬이랑 교차하는 식인게 좋더라고요. 아닌 것도 괜찮은건 괜찮지만 대개 그렇습니다. 이쪽에선 많이 유명한 밴드들은 거의 들어봤는데 좀 잘 질리더군요. 그래서 멜데스 유튭에서 찾다가 디섹션이란 밴드의 Thorns of Crimson Death란 곡을 유튭 돌아다니다 들었는데 좋아서 찾아봤더니 멜로딕 블랙메탈이라고 하더군요... 멜데스랑 무슨 차이가 있는건가요? 블랙 이쪽엔 버줌이라든지... 그런 이상한 애들도 많고 거부감이 심해서 안들엇었는데 이런 음악이면 들을만하겠네 하고 생각했습니다. 그런데 이 밴드도 나무위키에서 검색해보니까 핵심멤버라는 사람이 리얼 심각한 악인이라 좀 식겁하긴 했네요. 어쨌든 원래 블랙메탈은 버줌 같은 음악인줄 알았는데 이쪽도 되게 다양한가요? 그리고 이런 음악 또 있나요? 원래 음악 좋으면 악인어어도 상관없다 하고 생각했는데 디섹션은 밴드명도 좀 그렇고 호모포비아살인마라는걸 알게되니 진짜 손을 대기가 싫어서 딴 건 하나도 안 들어봤어요. 3. 또 katatonia라든가 그런 밴드 노래 들어보니까 우울하기는 해도 말랑말랑하게 듣기 편한 좋은 노래가 많더군요. 유튜브에서 my twin이라는 곡을 듣고 그 앨범이랑 다른 앨범들의 몇몇곡들씩 들어봤는데, 둠이라고 하면 나무위키 https://namu.wiki/w/%EB%91%A0%20%EB%A9%94%ED%83%88 치면 맨 위에 나오는 그런 곡이라 생각했었지만 의외라 좀 놀랏네요;; 이쪽도 원래 엄청 폭이 넓고 다양한가요? 그리고 opeth의 stil life, blackwater park같은 음악하는 밴드 또 있나요? 사실 katatonia도 레딧에서 katatonia가 opeth같은 음악한다 해서 들어본 거라서요. (그런데 오페스도 댐네이션 같은 메탈이 아닌 앨범은 다들 칭송하던데 왠지 귀에 안 맞더군요. 원래 전 골수 메탈파는 아닌데...) 아... 대충 궁금한건 다 쓴것 같은데 머리속에서 떠오르는대로 궁금했던걸 막 써서 너무 혼잡하네요. 또 제가 잘 아는게 아니라 대학시절 때 주워듣고 인터넷에서 보고 그런 기억에 기반한 채로 질문을 올려서 뭔가 글이 이상할텐데 그래도 염치불구하고 올립니다.. p.s : 메탈 관련해서 나무위키 믿을만한가요?
