| Subject | 병원에서 과 어떻게 정해야 할까요? |

안녕하세요 눈팅은 열심히 하는데 글은 제대로 써본 적이 없는 유령회원입니다 ㅎㅎ… 국시 끝나고 병원 지원할 때가 되니 머리가 복잡하더군요. 들리는 소문에 마음이 휙휙 흔들리기도 하고요. 자기소개서스러운 내용은 이전에 레지엔 선생님 댓글에서 본 내용으로 꾸려봤습니다. 인생계획: 일은 60대 이후에도 할 수만 있다면 하고 싶습니다. 결혼이나 육아는 할 계획이 전혀 없고, 은퇴 후에는 소규모 서점/도서관을 운영하는게 목표입니다. 능력: 특별히 내세울 점은 없습니다만, 텍스트는 좋아해서 별 관심 없는 논문도 그리 질리지 않고 읽을 수 있습니다. 프로그래밍을 쬐금 배운적이 있습니다. 손재주나 미적 감각은 구립니다... 서저리는 그래서 어렵겠다 생각하고 있습니다. 성적: 중간에서 약간 나은 정도.. 자교에 남으면 요즘 인기 있다는 마이너과에도 도전 정도는 해볼 수 있는 것 같습니다. 외부에서는 어려울 것 같고요. 캐릭터 성격은 차분한 편입니다. 감정에 좀 무디기도 합니다. 어려운 사람을 잘 대하지 못하는 것 같습니다. 인공지능을 적용하는 과정에 참여할 수 있는 건 전공의 문제라기보다는 병원과 직위의 문제입니다. 예컨대 왓슨이 지금 길병원에서 돌아가고 있지만 그러면 길병원 레지던트들이 여기에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있냐면 그렇다고 하기 힘들고, 자체적으로 클라우드 서버 얹어놓고 딥러닝하는 몇 몇 기관이 있는데 그곳에 소속된 스탭들이 이걸 다 연구나 진료에 활용할 수 있냐면 그렇지도 않습니다. 고로 진로 전공하고는 큰 연관이 없습니다. 굳이 보자면 병리, 진검, 영상, 방종에서 하시는 분들이 조금 많아보이지만 이건 저 분들 중 연구 활동을 수행할 수 있는 분들이 대형병원에서 연구를 해야 하는 위치에 있기 때문에 그러한 것이 더 크고... 외국을 봐도 의사로서 그 분야에 깊게 관여하는 분들은 '처음부터 인공지능과 의료의 융합을 위해 맞춤인 전공'을 하신 분들보다, '충분한 임상경험과 판단력과 권위가 있어서 인공지능 연구에서 레퍼런스의 역할 할 수 있는' 분들인 경우가 많습니다. 그러니까 그냥 자기 전공에서 잘나가면 할 수 있습니다(..)
고로 여기까지 보면 그냥 적당히 취향대로... 소위 배제진단으로 도출되는 경우가 많은 전공(내과, 가정의학과, 소청과, 마취과, 신경과, 정신과, 재활의학과, 직업환경의학과 정도가 되겠군요)을 하시는게 합리적인 판단이라고 봅니다. 여기에 개인적으로는 응급의학과도 나쁘지 않다고 보고요.
첨단 기술이라는게 임상 의학의 첨단지식의 문제라면 병원이 클수록, 스탭수가 많을수록 유리합니다. 그러나 레지던트의 입장에서 예민하게 받아들이느냐 아니냐는 이보다는 개인 성향이 좀 더 큰 문제고... 물론 본인은 열심히 공부를 하고 싶은데 하는 일만 계속 돌려서 공부를 못하게 만드는 곳에 간다면 좀 어렵습니다. 특히 진료를 실제로 보는 과들은 이런 경우가 꽤 있습니다. 반면에 서비스 파트는 환경보다는 좀 더 개인 성향과 노력에 의존적이고요. 뭐 그렇다고 해도 큰 병원이 좋긴 합니다 별 생각없이 주워듣는게 최신지견인 경우가 적잖이 있어서...
의학을 좀 넘어선 영역의 첨단 기술 문제, 그러니까 요새 화두가 되는 다학제적인 접근은 이건 레지던트 입장에서 고르고 자시고 할 수준이 아니라고 봅니다. 펠로우 이상이 아니면 접근이 사실상 어렵다고 봐야... 졸국 후에 최신지견과 멀어지는 것도 결국 수련기관보다 더 작고 둔감한 기관에 있으면 필연적인 일이고요. 고로 전체적으로 봤을 때 전공 특성이 문제가 아니라, '교수를 하고 싶다'라는 답이 도출되는 글이라고 생각합니다. 도저히 정이 안가는 곳 빼고 나머지 중에서 스탭 가능성 제일 높아보이는 곳을 트라이하시는게 현명하지 싶습니다.

인공지능을 적용하는 과정에 참여할 수 있는 건 전공의 문제라기보다는 병원과 직위의 문제입니다. 예컨대 왓슨이 지금 길병원에서 돌아가고 있지만 그러면 길병원 레지던트들이 여기에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있냐면 그렇다고 하기 힘들고, 자체적으로 클라우드 서버 얹어놓고 딥러닝하는 몇 몇 기관이 있는데 그곳에 소속된 스탭들이 이걸 다 연구나 진료에 활용할 수 있냐면 그렇지도 않습니다. 고로 진로 전공하고는 큰 연관이 없습니다. 굳이 보자면 병리, 진검, 영상, 방종에서 하시는 분들이 조금 많아보이지만 이건 저 분들 중 연구 활동을 수행할 수 있는 분들이 대형병원에서 연구를 해야 하는 위치에 있기 때문에 그러한 것이 더 크고... 외국을 봐도 의사로서 그 분야에 깊게 관여하는 분들은 '처음부터 인공지능과 의료의 융합을 위해 맞춤인 전공'을 하신 분들보다, '충분한 임상경험과 판단력과 권위가 있어서 인공지능 연구에서 레퍼런스의 역할 할 수 있는' 분들인 경우가 많습니다. 그러니까 그냥 자기 전공에서 잘나가면 할 수 있습니다(..)
고로 여기까지 보면 그냥 적당히 취향대로... 소위 배제진단으로 도출되는 경우가 많은 전공(내과, 가정의학과, 소청과, 마취과, 신경과, 정신과, 재활의학과, 직업환경의학과 정도가 되겠군요)을 하시는게 합리적인 판단이라고 봅니다. 여기에 개인적으로는 응급의학과도 나쁘지 않다고 보고요.
첨단 기술이라는게 임상 의학의 첨단지식의 문제라면 병원이 클수록, 스탭수가 많을수록 유리합니다. 그러나 레지던트의 입장에서 예민하게 받아들이느냐 아니냐는 이보다는 개인 성향이 좀 더 큰 문제고... 물론 본인은 열심히 공부를 하고 싶은데 하는 일만 계속 돌려서 공부를 못하게 만드는 곳에 간다면 좀 어렵습니다. 특히 진료를 실제로 보는 과들은 이런 경우가 꽤 있습니다. 반면에 서비스 파트는 환경보다는 좀 더 개인 성향과 노력에 의존적이고요. 뭐 그렇다고 해도 큰 병원이 좋긴 합니다 별 생각없이 주워듣는게 최신지견인 경우가 적잖이 있어서...
의학을 좀 넘어선 영역의 첨단 기술 문제, 그러니까 요새 화두가 되는 다학제적인 접근은 이건 레지던트 입장에서 고르고 자시고 할 수준이 아니라고 봅니다. 펠로우 이상이 아니면 접근이 사실상 어렵다고 봐야... 졸국 후에 최신지견과 멀어지는 것도 결국 수련기관보다 더 작고 둔감한 기관에 있으면 필연적인 일이고요. 고로 전체적으로 봤을 때 전공 특성이 문제가 아니라, '교수를 하고 싶다'라는 답이 도출되는 글이라고 생각합니다. 도저히 정이 안가는 곳 빼고 나머지 중에서 스탭 가능성 제일 높아보이는 곳을 트라이하시는게 현명하지 싶습니다.
