https://biz.sbs.co.kr/article/20000108688 국토교통부와 행정안전부, 경찰청은 지난 16일 ‘교통사고 사망자 점검회의’를 갖고 이같은 내용의 ‘교통사고 감소 대책’을 논의했습니다. 고령 운전자의 운전능력을 평가해 기준에 못 미칠 경우 야간 운전과 고속도로 운전 금지, 최고속도 제한 등 운전 허용범위를 대폭 줄이는 ‘조건부 면허’제도를 도입하겠다는 것입니다. 내년까지 조건부 면허제 도입과 관련한 연구용역을 마치고, 이르면 2025년부터 시행이 유력합니다. 현재 고령자 조건부 면허 방안으로는 △집에서 반경 50~100㎞ 범위에서만 운전을 하도록 하는 방안 △주간에만 운전을 허용하는 방안 △ADAS(첨단운전자지원시스템)를 설치한 차량에 한해 운전을 허용하는 방안 등이 논의되는 것으로 전해졌습니다.
