별 생각 없이 스팀을 켜는데 갑자기 뭔가 업데이트를 합니다? 제법 용량이 되는 거 같은데 뭘까 하고 봤더니 발더스 게이트였습니다. 네 1998년에 나온 그 발더스 게이트 말입니다.   아 물론 스팀으로 파는 발더스 게이트는 오리지날이 아니라 소위 EE로 불리는 Enhanced Edition입니다만 어쨌든 이것도 2012년 말에 나온 거라 벌써 3년 이상의 세월이 흘렀고 게임을 새로 만든 건 아니었죠. 근데 패치가 나왔습니다. 대충 열어보니까 인터페이스는 다 영어로 뜨지만 대사를 비롯해 게임 관련 텍스트들은 다 한글패치 그대로 나오네요. 게임하는데 큰 지장은 없을 거 같고, 오히려 새로운 UI가 전보다 직관적이라 하기는 더 편해진 것처럼 보입니다. Shaman이라는 신규 클래스는 어떻게 하는 건지 모르겠는데 캐릭 생성을 들어가보니까 placeholder라는 게 있네요. 이거 맞나... 이게 이틀 전에 나왔으면 만우절 장난 기발하네 하고 웃을텐데 실제로 바뀐 거 보니까 쇼크입니다 쇼크.
