아래 글이 있긴 한데, 좀 더 포괄적인 리뷰를 하고 싶어서 따로 씁니다. ------- 참… 아쉬운 점이 많네요. 이번 가요제를 비롯해 가요제 프로젝트를 왜 이어나가는건지 이유를 찾기 힘드네요. 태호PD의 영향력이 떨어진건지, 성향이 바뀐건지, 무도에 어떤게 필요한지 맥락을 꽤나 잘 짚어내던 PD라고 생각했는데, 요즘 방송분에선 무도 지향하는게 뭔지 잘 모르겠어요. <무한도전>에서 자주 내세우던 ‘도전’의 주제는 확실히 아니었습니다. [‘모지리들이 해내기엔 불가능해 보일것 같은 사소하지만 무모한 도전’]이라는 컨셉에는 이번 프로젝트가 단 한 글자도 어울리지 않아요. 모지리? 여섯 맴버 중 누가 연예계에서 급이 떨어지는 맴번가요. 그나마 광희가 어린축이고 경력도 짧은 편인데, 그래도 제국의 아이들 출신에 광희급 인지도면 다른 아이돌은 쉽게 갖다댈 수 없는 시니어 아이돌 아닌가요. 불가능해 보일 것 같은? 가요제 3만명 자리에 10만명 갔다는 것부터 ‘불가능’을 염두해두고 한 프로젝트는 아니었다고 봅니다. 사소하지만? 추측 관객 3만명 프로젝트가 사소한 도전도 아니었고… 무모한 도전? 글쎄요. 가장 마음에 안드는 부분이었습니다. 정형돈, 유재석, 박명수가 가수들에게 거듭 주문한 것은 ‘페스티발 용’ 노래였습니다. 각 가수들은 본인 나름의 다른 매력적인 제안을 했습니다만, 맴버들은 ‘그래도 가요제인데… 축제인데…’ 라면서 위험부담을 감수하고 싶지 않아했어요. 예전 무도같으면 결국 가수들의 설득에 의해, 억지로 새로운 걸 시도해보고,(박명수 제외) 그러다 예기치 못한 곳에서 흥하는 그런 그림인데, 이번 가요제는 유독 타협이 없었네요. 무모함과는 거리가 먼 모습이었습니다. 이번 <무한도전>은 ‘도전’이라고 보기 어려운 컨셉이었습니다. 뭐, 항상 도전을 주제로 삼는 예능은 아니었고, 가요제는 특히 그런 부분이 사라진 지 오래되었으니 그럴 수 있다고 보면, 기존에 가요제를 보며 찾았던 재미를 어디에서 재미를 찾아야할지 난감합니다. 앞서 언급했지만 이렇게 큰 프로젝트를 ‘왜’하는지 모르겠습니다. 보통 무도에서 규모있는 프로젝트는 ‘도전’의 컨셉으로 다가간 경우가 많았는데, 이번 경우는 거기에 해당사항이 없는듯 싶고, 무도 맴버들의 캐릭터를 활용해 재미와 웃음을 자아내는 예능 방송이라기엔 1. 웃긴 상황이나 장면이 별로 없었고, 2. 딱히 그러려는 연출 의도도 안 보였습니다. 그냥 [‘2년마다 하는거 또 할 때 됐네, 하자!’] 이거 이상으로 의미있는 이유를 못 찾겠습니다. 가요제 준비하는 모습은 1박 2일 맴버가 준비한다고 해도 예능적 재미 측면에서 비슷하게 나올 것 같습니다. 차라리 그 쪽이 더 재미있을수도… (물론 무도 캐릭터들 고유의 재미는 못 가져오겠지만요. 아쉽게도 그런 고유의 재미란게 이번 가요제 준비 때는 느껴지지도 않았지만) 예전에 <남자의 자격>에서 합창단 프로젝트가 흥행하니깐, 계속 반복적으로 합창단 했던거랑 이번 영동고속도로 가요제랑 크게 달라보이지 않습니다. 매너리즘에 빠져서 길을 잃었다는 느낌이 강해요. 준비 과정에서 보여준 유재석, 정형돈, 박명수의 마치 갑질 같은 모습은 정말 불편했습니다. 박명수야 이전부터 그랬고, 이번에도 딱히 뭐 달라진거 없으니 그냥 넘어가고, (바뀌지 않는다는게… 답답하기도 하지만, 본인 캐릭터라고 생각할수도 있으니까요.) 오히려 결국에 아이유의 말을 들어주기로 했다(?) 같은 착한 모습을 보여주는게… 더 싫더라구요. 차라리 그냥 막 나가서 예전처럼 욕먹는거 신경쓰지 말던지. 정형돈은 GD나 정재형 때 썼던 기믹을 쓰려다 실패했다고 보여집니다. 워낙 혁오 밴드가 예능감이 발달되어있지 않고, 개성 강한 팀이었기도 하구요. 덕분에 의외로 형돈이 분량이 편집도 많이 되고, 팀 이름도 못정한건 그 결과들 중 하나로 보여집니다. 케미가 정말 안맞는 팀이었달까요. 그래서 정형돈의 기믹이 실패할 때마다, 오혁은 난감해하고, 형돈이는 어거지로 생떼쓰는거처럼 느껴졌어요. 유재석도 좀 아쉬웠습니다. 본인 뜻대로 '말하는대로'를 거르고 '압구정 날라리'를 선택했을때도 결과적으로 좀 별로였는데, 이번에도 그저 그런 것 같아요. 이적 때부터 댄스를 고집하는 캐릭터가, 팽팽하게 리액션과 말빨로 받아주는 이적이나 유희열 때는 음알못 유재석같은 캐릭터로 만들어졌다면, 이번에는 박진영 특유의 인정하고, 유하게 넘어가고, 묘하게 징징대는(?) 리액션이랑 맞물리면서, 거기에 유재석의 연예계나 사회적 지위 또한 옛날과 달라졌기에 유재석 스스로는 기존에 자신이 가지고 있던 '댄스 밖에 모르는 음악 바보'라는 예능 캐릭터를 활용하려던 것 뿐엔데, 제게는 뭔가 갑질하는 것처럼 느껴지기도 했어요. 셋 다 진상을 부리려고 한건 아닐겁니다. 그런데 묘하게 이렇게 겹치니까, 그런 것처럼 보여요. 실상은 전혀 다르겠지만, 내노라하는 가수들이 무한도전 음원빨 좀 받아보려고 무도 맴버들 비위 맞춰주고 있는 것처럼 비춰지고. (당연히 그럴리 없겠지만. 애초에 이런 가수들이 왜 맴버들 의견에 따라, 자신의 음악적 개성도 굽혀줘야 하는지 동기가 불분명하거든요.) 무한도전 가요제라는 브랜드가 영향력이 쎄다보니, 맴버들이 그냥 단순하게 원하는 것만 이야기해도, 우리가 잘나가는 갑이다, 우리 말 좀 들어라, 이렇게 비춰질 여지가 있는 것 같아요. 거기에 별 대꾸 못하는 혁오나, 아이유, 박진영같은 리액션이 나오니, 그룹별 케미가 예능적인 재미로까지 올라가지 못한 것 같구요. 그 와중에 나머지 맴버들 분량도 썩 매력적이지가 않은게, 하하는 힐링캠프 떠난 느낌이었고, 광희는 동갑내기 친구들이랑 우결 찍고 있었고, 준하는 쇼미더머니를 부으려다가, 실수로 엎어져서 빈그릇만 남은 느낌이랄까. 특히 광희에게 아쉬운건, 본인이 뭔가 부족했다기보다도, 유병재 + GDx태양, 장동민 + GDx태양의 조합이었으면, 곡은 더 못나왔을지 몰라도 방송분량은 기깔나게 나왔을거 같다는 기대를 저버리기 쉽지 않아서 그런게 크네요. 광희한테 특별히 악감정이 있는건 아니지만, 전임자가 노홍철이라는 역대급 맴버라, 그정도로 막 질러나가지 못한다면 계속 아쉬운 점이 생길 것 같아요. 음원차트 올킬? 10만명 동원? 솔직히 주말 황금시간대 잡고 있는 메이저 예능에서 3주 동안 가요제 홍보방송 한 셈인데, 그럼에도 불구하고 엄청나게 이슈된 건 맞지만, 반대로 충분히 이정도 이슈가 될 수 있다고도 생각합니다. 간단하게 각 무대 리뷰를 해보면, 1. 황태지 - 맙소사 무대도 정말 멋지고, 퍼포먼스도 화려했습니다. 끝나고 GD가 인터뷰 할 때, 박명수와 정형돈, 광희 중 누구랑 작업하는게 좋았을때 광희를 선택했다는게, 빈말같지 않아보였어요. 가요제라는 틀 안에서 자신이 하고싶은걸 한거 같아보이더군요. 긴장한 기색이 역력하던 광희와 다르게, 신나게 놀고있는 GD 표정이 카메라에 잡히니깐, 정말 타고난 퍼포머 아닐까 싶은 생각이 들었네요. 곡도 곡이지만, 무대 연출력부터, 화려한 퍼포먼스까지, 빅뱅의 저력을 볼 수 있었던 무대였습니다. 2. 이유 갓지 않은 이유 - 레옹 박명수의 리프트 등장 같은 부분은 리허설 분량으로 스포를 당하지 않았다면 더 재미있게 즐겼을 것 같습니다. 레옹이란 컨셉이 뜬금없긴 하지만 엉뚱한데서 오는 매력있었고, 무대 역시도 아이유와 박명수의 매력을 보여주기에는 부족함이 없었던 것 같습니다. 명수가 연습할때 한참을 헤매던 랩 파트를 따라 불러주던 관객들이 인상깊게 남네요. (+ EDM때 출렁이던 재환씨의 뱃살이 잊혀지지가 않아요...노림수인가?) 3. 으 뜨거따시 - 스폰서 제 개인적으로는 비트도 그렇고 여섯 곡 중 제일 괜찮게 들은 노래입니다. 무대의 완성도도 매우 뛰어나보이구요. 절제미라고 했는데, 꿈틀대는 안무도 매력있었는데, 거기에서 그치지 않고, 리프트를 타고 올라가, 가짜 돈 뿌리는 퍼포먼스는 정말 멋졌습니다. 자이언티 아버지가 거대한 화면에 나올때는 웃음을 유발하기도 했구요. 앞으로 가장 자주 듣게되는 곡이지 않을까 싶네요. 4. 상주나 - My Life 뭔가 눈치없이 개별행동하는 것도 캐릭터의 일종인지, 유독 튀어나와보이긴 하네요. 덕분에 의외로 즐거운 퍼포먼스를 볼 수 있었습니다. 그렇게 페스티벌 페스티벌 노래를 부르던 맴버들 보다는, 차라리 황태지나 상주나가 페스티벌에 어울리는 무대가 아니었나 싶네요. 음원용이라기보다는 제한된 시간에 여러가지 눈요깃거리와 쇼를 보여준다는 느낌이 강했습니다. 그걸 짧은 시간에 준비한 정준하의 노력은 인정할 만 하더군요. 지난번 다이어트 때도 그러더니, 요즘 적당히 무리하는 모습이 많이 보이네요. 5. 댄싱 게놈 - I'm So Sexy 이번 가요제의 가장 인상깊은 딱 한 동작, 귀를 사로잡는 딱 한 구절, 이건 전부 이 곡에서 나온거 아닐까 싶어요. 별거 아닌 I'm So Sexy라는 가사를 이렇게 캐치하게 만들 수 있는 것도 능력이겠죠. 중반부부터 순식간에 지루해지긴 했지만, 타 곡들과는 다른 감각으로 빚어낸 특유의 리듬이 좋았습니다. 하지만 너무 같은 안무와 구절 반복이라 후반부는 집중하기 어렵더군요. 6. 오대천왕 - 멋진 헛간 좀 어중간한 느낌입니다. 곡 자체로는 확실히 매력이 있는데, 공연 순서랄지 이런 부분들이 잘못 위치한 것 같기도 하고. 방송을 통해서 본 무대 중 음향이 가장 안좋은 무대이기도 했습니다. 유일한 밴드 그룹이기도 합니다만, 딱히 인상깊은 점을 찾지 못하겠네요. 퍼포먼스보다 방송 편집상 어그러진 부분이 좀 있는 것 같기도 하고... 무대보다는 음원이 더 매력있지 않을까 싶네요. 노래는 다들 중박정도는 쳤다고 생각해요. 예전에 정준하 + 김C때 생각하면... 하지만 노래와 별개로 방송이 재미있었는지는 좀 의문이네요. 이번 주 방송에서 유독 과거 가요제 장면을 많이 편집해서 쓰던데, 그래요. 맞아요. 30명 앞에서 노래부를때가 훨씬 재미있었습니다. 3만명 앞에서 기성 가수처럼 하려니깐 가수만큼 재미있나요? 훨씬 재미있는 가수들의 공연들 얼마나 많은데, 어찌하여 예능 공연이 아니라 가수 공연같은 컨셉을 계속 끌고가는지 아쉽습니다. 개인적으로는 이렇게 가수들한테 퇴짜놓고 진상부릴거면 차라리 프로듀싱 도전으로 컨셉 잡아서, 실력있는 작곡가랑 가창력 좋은 신인가수와 팀 짜서, 곡 만들고 공연하고 추후에 곡 음원이나 인기투표로 승부보는 새로운 형식의 가요제를 하던지요. 갈수록 가요제 고유의 정체성이 너무 약해집니다. 가수랑 팀 짜는건 듀엣 가요제에서 했던 컨셉이고, 큰 스케일로 공연했던 건 서해안 때부터입니다. 말하는대로나 순정마초 같은 곡이 흥행을 했었죠. 굳이 특별한 정체성을 찾지 않게 된 건 자유로 가요제 때 부터인데, 이때는 워낙 다양한 분야에서 개성넘치는 가수들을 불러 섭외력으로 어느정도 식상함을 상쇄시켰죠. 그런데 이번에도 비슷한 모양입니다. 이 추세라면 다음 가요제는 굳이 안보고 음원만 챙겨듣는다는지 할 것 같네요. 무도가 기획력이 떨어지고 한물 간 예능이라기엔 ‘토토가’의 성공이 비교적 최근입니다. 확실한 컨셉과 매력적인 기획, 뛰어난 공연으로 많은 사람들의 눈과 귀를 사로잡았습니다. 저력이 없는 예능 팀이 아닌데, 헛다리를 짚으니깐 자꾸 아쉽네요. 음원 많이 팔아야 되는 것도 아니고, 가요제 우승해서 상금 타야하는 것도 아니고, 꼭 잘해야 된다는 명분이나 동기가 강력한 것도 아닌데, 좀 못난 곡이 나올 수도 있는데, ‘그래도 페스티발이잖아…’ 같은 걸 앞세우니, 곡들도 나쁘지 않지만 전체적으로 다 밋밋해졌어요. 역시 곡은 전문가에게 맡기는게 좋은 것 같아요… 저는 이번 가요제를 무도 내부에서 ‘성공적’으로 평가한다면, 다음 가요제는 정말 기대할게 없어보입니다. 제게 있어 서해안 가요제는 ‘표절’, (잘못 적었습니다. 자유로 가요제입니다.) 이번 영동 가요제는 ‘쓰레기’로 밖에 남지 않거든요. + 아무리 생각해도 무도는 못하는걸 잘할때까지 하면서, 맴버들이 망가지고, 부침을 겪을때 재밌는 것 같습니다. 이번 가요제를 비롯해서 이런 공연, 무도 맴버들은 이미 충분히 잘하지 않나요? 요번주 방송에서 ‘정말 긴장된다.’는 형돈이의 말이 정말 공허하게 들렸다는게 아쉬웠습니다. 말로는 ‘긴장된다, 떨린다’ 하지만, 결국 잘 해낼 거잖아… Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 133 Warning: Use of undefined constant no - assumed 'no' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 146 Warning: Use of undefined constant vote - assumed 'vote' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/redtea/html/a_skin/bbsd/view.php on line 161 0 이 게시판에 등록된 한아님의 최근 게시물
