| Subject | 한 고등학생의 하스스톤을 이용한 교내 발표 연구가 화제입니다. |
 http://gall.dcinside.com/board/view/?id=hearthstone&no=1100005 평범한 고등학생이 교내 연구 발표에 제출한 것에 대해 쓴 글인데 genetic algorithm을 하스스톤에 적용해 본 것이 그 내용입니다. 내용 자체만 보면 뭐 이런 초보적인 게 화제냐 할 수도 있겠습니다. 하지만 일반고 고2 사실상 이쪽 방면에 기반 지식이 거의 없는 제로베이스 상태에서 덱을 생명체 카드를 유전자로 생각해서 그리 고차원적인 시뮬레이션은 아닙니다만 실험 설계, 진행, 그리고 그에 따른 수치로 연결되는 결과까지 얻어내서 하나의 완결된 논문을 작성해 냈습니다. 제 짧은 경험 내에서는 날다긴다 하는 수식 잘 풀고 암기 잘하는 공부쟁이들은 꽤 많이 봤어도 고등학교 이하에서 이 정도로 스스로 문제를 정의하고 방법론을 밀이부쳐 결과를 만들어 낸 모습은 본 적이 없습니다. 개인적으로는 나름 대학원까지 진학했습니다만 저 스스로도 거의 말년차쯤 되기 전까지는 저런 연구 스타트를 할 수 있었는가 생각했을 때 어려웠을 거 같습니다. 뭐 디씨 특성상 상당수 리플은 심사단계에서 떨어진 걸 두고 헬조센(크크) 운운합니다만 그걸 떠나서 우리나라 고등학생이 저런 걸 만들어 냈다는게 저에게는 꽤나 놀라웠습니다. 어제 봤던 내용이네요. 석사하고 나니까 아 저게 개고생이구나...그걸 스스로 주제 잡아서 해내다니 참 대견하구나 하는 생각이 안들 수 없네요. 사람마다 경험이 달라서 좀 차이는 있겠지만 제 경우엔 학부 졸업하고 회사다니는 동안은 저게 얼마나 대단한 잉여력(?)의 집합체인지 잘 몰랐을 것 같아요.
