2017 kbo는 스트존 확대로 인해 기존의 타신투병 리그에서 투고타저에 가까운 형태로 변모하고 있습니다. 이런 스트존의 확대를 두고 어떤 타자들이 영향을 받을까요. 라이트 팬들은 오히려 배드볼 히터에게 유리하지 않을까하고 생각하는 주장을 종종 접하고 있는데. 전혀 그렇다고 보지 않습니다. 투수들이 항상 같은 공을 던지지 않기 떄문입니다. 오히려 스트존이 넒어졌다면 더욱 넓은 존을 활용해서 지저분한 공을 던지기 때문에 배드볼 히터는 더욱 나쁜 공을 가지고 안타를 만들어내야 하는 상황에 접면합니다. 그리고 이러한 주장을 검증하기 위해 스탯티즈를 활용해서 러프하게 데이터를 산출해봤습니다. 먼저 배드볼 히터의 기준은 스탯티즈에서 2016년 규정 타석 이상인 선수들 중에서 BB% 하위 30명 / 적극적인 스윙률을 보인 상위 30명 중에서 20명을 선정했습니다.
