 안녕하세요. 어쩌다보니 나오자마자 이 영화를 보게 됐습니다. 결론적으로 레미제라블처럼 노래하는 영화를 좋아하시는 분들은 좋아할 것 같고 아닌 분들은 좀 지루해할 것 같아요. 다 떠나서 화려한 CG가 볼만한 것은 부정할 수 없는 사실입니다. 원작이 있는데, 제가 그 내용을 모릅니다. 찾아보니까 애니메이션 판도 원작이 아니고 그 이전에는 18세기 중반의 동화책에 수록된 버전이 가장 유명하다고 하는데 저주에 걸린 왕자와 미녀 사이의 사랑이라는 큰 틀은 변함이 없을 것 같네요. 가장 재밌었던 부분은 첫 부분이었습니다. 여주인공인 벨을 소개하는 부분인데 노래도 좋고 참 경쾌해요. 무엇보다 세트에 돈 진짜 많이 들였겠다, 그런 느낌 듭니다. 등장인물들이 참새들 지저귀는 것처럼 주고받는 노래를 보면, 이런걸 참 어떻게 다 만들었나 싶고 처음이라서 신기합니다. 그런 거 보면 노래라는 게 참 사람 홀리게 하는 힘이 있습니다. 근데 그 다음부터의 전개가 쉽게 예측 가능하고 전반적으로 동화책 수준을 벗어나지 않아 굉장히 심심합니다. 사실 초반에 제시된 걸 넘어서는 내용이 없어요. 물론 그 원작으로 다른 내용을 만들기가 쉽지 않기는 하죠. 그래도 다른 출구가 없었을까? 하는 아쉬움이 드는 건 사실입니다. 제 옆에 어떤 아저씨가 팔짱을 끼고 그 영화를 보고 있던데 아마 그도 저와 비슷한 생각을 하지 않았을까 싶어요. 너무나도 착하고 올바른 내용이라서 감동적이긴 한데 관객이 따로 챙길 몫은 없다 해야 할까요. 영화가 개인을 좀 더 괴롭혀줘도 된다고 생각해서, 개인적으로는 조금 싱거웠습니다.
