  최근에 와이파이 환경 개선을 위해 kt 회선을 하나더 추가하였다. 열대 가까운 컴퓨터들을 회선 하나로 사용하고 있는 상황을 용인한 KT가 이번엔 안된다고 했기 때문이다. 그렇게 고정 지출이 늘어났기 때문에 괜히 명세서를 들여다본다. ‘음? 가입 인터넷 속도가 500mbps..? 그정도는 아닌것 같은데?’ 측정해보니 90mbps 정도 나온다. 이걸 모르고 살았던 세월이 야속하다. 내가 타르코프에서 먼저 발견되서 사살당한건 필경 인터넷 속도 때문이리라. 급히 네이버를 켜서 원인을 검색해본다. 이런류의 트러블슈팅은 네이버 지식IN이 최고다. 네이버 짱짱 (현 네이버 주주) 파워 지식인께서 공유기 속도 한도가 낮으면 그럴수 있다고 한다. 둘러보니 역시 공유기와 스위칭 허브가 문제다. 자 이제 선택지는 세개다 1. 그냥 산다. 2. 내가 일단 고쳐본다. 3. 전문업자를 부른다, 3은 괜히 무섭기 때문에 일단 내가 고쳐보기로 하고 쿠팡에서 신중히 고른 공유기와 스위칭 허브를 주문한다. 그런데 가만보자? 생각해보니 전기실에 와이파이 공유기가 깜빡거리며 일을 하고 있는 중이다. 대체 너는 왜 여깄는거임? ...여긴 와이파이를 받을 사람들이 없단말야.. 혹시 몰라 전기실 공유기를 무시하고, 내컴퓨터에 연결된 랜선을 kt 공유기에 직접 꽂아본다. 약간 기대해본다. 역시 안된다. 저 공유기가 무슨 역할을 하는것이 분명하다. 이젠 내일 공유기와 새 스위칭 허브가 올때까지 기다리는 수밖에..
