 2월의 책 독서모임 2월에 함께 읽으실 책은 아니 에르노의 부끄러움입니다. 아니 에르노의 여덟 번째 소설로, 열두 살 때 노동계층 부모와 기독교 사립학교 사이의 간극을 체험하고 존재의 불편함을 느꼈던 원체험(기억에 각인되어 영향을 받게 되는 어린 시절의 체험)에 대한 회고이다. 《단순한 열정》을 발표하고 한동안 윤리적 논란에 휩싸였을 때 자전적 서사 그 이상을 제시함으로써 모든 논란을 잠재우고 작가로서 일대 전환을 이루어낸 작품이다. -교보문고 홍자넷 회원분들 모두에게 공개된 독서모임으로 매 달 정해진 책을 각자 읽으시고, 한 달에 한 번 줌으로 책에 대해서 이야기나누는 시간을 가집니다. 완독을 목표로 하며 아주 느리게 진행하는 독서모임이니 부담없이 참여하시길 권합니다. 1.진도: 각자 진도를 정하셔서 읽으시면 좋을 듯합니다. 2. 리뷰: 책을 모두 읽으신 홍차넷 회원분들은 홍차넷 티타임, 매월 마지막주에, 이 글 아래에 책 소감에 대한 리뷰 내용을 댓글로 달아주시면 됩니다. 직장 동료가 책 표지의 강렬함에 반해,
책을 펴고 첫 소절을 읽기 시작했다.

이 책을 읽으며 이 책표지의 '여성'이 생각하는 부끄러움이 무엇인지 궁금해서
책을 계속 읽게 되었고, 말미에 가서 그 '부끄러움'이 무엇인지 알게 되었다.

하지만, 그러한 이슈를 떠나서 작가의 부끄러움은 나의 어린시절의 공감과도 비슷하고,
사회적 차별과 그것을 벗어나기 위한 자의적인, 혹은 타의적인, 신분 상승을
꿈꾸는 것에 대한 '부끄러움'일지도 모르겠다. 공감이 간다.
