진로에 대해서 가끔 여기저기에 다른 곳에서 글을 보다보면 아래와 같은 제목의 글을 많이 봅니다. 20대 30대 이 직업 해보고 싶은데 괜찮을까요? 그러면 그냥 궁금해서 누르기도 하고 알면 도움되는 정보를 남기기 위해 누르기도 합니다. 그래서 눌러서 보면 각양각색의 다양한 의견들이 있지만 굳이 찬/반을 나눠볼까 합니다. 찬 쪽 일반적인 의견 1.하고싶으면 해야 합니다. 해야 미련이 안남거든요. 2.젊은 친구들과 소통 잘하고 밑에서 잘 배우고 시키는대로 할 수 있으면 하세요. 3.본인이 진짜 하고싶으면 몇 단계에 걸쳐서 해보세요. 비전문가한테 묻지말고 (전문가 상담-> 학원 등록 -> 취업) 4.늦게 시작해도 하기 나름이에요! 반 쪽 일반적인 의견 1.그 나이 먹고 왜 그걸 하시죠? 더 좋은 길, 더 많은 소득, 시간대 노동강도를 생각하면 절대 비추입니다. 2.업계 전체가 불합리한 폭언/욕설이 난무하고 그걸 당연시하다고 생각하는데 거기에 맞으면 가세요. 전 비추 3.내 시간/내 몸이 갈려서 내 일상따윈 없는 업계 상식적으로 굳이 하겠다는게 이해가 안됩니다. (반대 의견은 좀 많이 완화해서 적었습니다) 4.*업계 있다가 그만두고나서 업계 진입자 인신공격, 현업 사람들 인신공격 (염전노예가 노예 되면 인생이 달라지냐?같은 거) 5.업계 포화상태에요. ------------------------------------------------------------- 그런데 사실 이렇게 찬/반이 굳이 나뉘어야 되나... 생각합니다. 왜냐하면 제가 생각하기에 어떤 직업에 도전할 때 가장 문제가 되는건 반대쪽 의견보다 중요한건 내가 어떤 직업에 도전을 하는데 있어서 준비하는 시간을 버틸 체력, 돈, 운이 받쳐주는게 모든걸 결정하지않나? 해서에요. 내가 돈이 있어서 경제적 수입없이 학원을 다니고 집에서 따로 공부를 하기 시작해도 그게 몇 년이 될지 아무도 모른다. 거기에 기간을 버틸 돈과 수입이 없는데 배우는 기간이 길어지는 동안 버틸 멘탈이 있어야하며 동시에 부모님이 갑자기 아파시거나 내가 아파서등 갑작스럽게 돈이 나가지 않길 바래야 한다. 어떻게 경제적 문제가 없어서 잘 넘어서서 막상 현장에 오니까 15시간 주 6일을 근무한다-_-;. 업계에서는 이게 상식적이고 일반적인 거라고 말합니다. 저는 저의 꿈을 위해 참기로 시작하고 근무를 시작했습니다. 남들은 근무환경에 비난하고 못견뎌서 나가는데 저는 운이 좋게 버텼습니다. (얼라? 그런데 제 동기는 일하다가 과로로 쓰러지고 어디 하나 다쳐서 다신 현장에 복귀를 못한다고 합니다.) (얼라? 그렇게 재능있는 다른 동기가 업계 분위기에 적응이 안돼서 그만둔다고 합니다.) 어디까지나 예를 든거구요. 반대쪽 의견에 반박 못해서 시작못하는거 보다는 그냥 해보고 안맞으면 어쩔수 없이 인정하고 다른 직업을 하시는게 어떨까 합니다. 30대에 시작해서 또는 30대 초중반에 시작해서 30대 중후반에 그만두고 건설현장 팀에 들어가서 같이 다니는 것도 쿠팡 다니면서 근무하는 것도 공장 다니면서 근무하는 것도 대리운전을 하는 것도 도배나 목수팀에 들어가도 막내로 시작할 나이고 어쩌면 경제적 측면으로는 이게 더 나을 수도 있습니다. 하고싶었고 도전해서 이뤄보고자 하는 일이 분명 빛나는 일인건 맞지만 그렇다고 다른 직업이 가치가 없지는 않아요. 단지 덜 빛날 뿐이지. 그러니 어떤 직업에 관시을 가지고 하고싶을때 타인의 의견도 중요하지만 내가 가진 돈/체력/운이 더 큰 영향력을 미치니 한번 전문가와 상담을 가지고 도전해보는게 어떨까? 합니다. 다 적고나니까 너무 무책임한 글을 써서 죄송하다는 생각이 많네요. 불편하시면 지우겠습니다. 쪽지 주세요. 사족) 결국 내가 결정하고 시작했다면 제 3자의 말에 귀를 열어둘 필요가 있을까요? 그리고 상대방이 도와달라고 하지않는한 제 3자는 그냥 지나가면 될까요? 남이 선택한 일인데 내 맘에 안든다고 댓글 달고 욕하는거 보다 그냥 지나가는게 상대방을 존중하는 행위인거 같아서요.
