광주의 유명한 맛집 청원모밀을 방문했습니다. 이름에서 느껴지듯이 청원모밀이라는 명의를 누군가 등록해서 뿌려버려서, 새롭게 이름을 바꿨습니다. 날씨가 더워서 냉모밀을 주문했습니다. 주문하고 비주얼을 보는 순간 실수했다는 느낌이 들었습니다. 기대했던 냉모밀은 시원한 쯔유에 담긴 메밀국수인데, 비쥬얼은 보시다 시피 싸구려 냉면입니다. 맛도 동치미 국물에 설탕이 들어가서 새콤 달콤합니다. 실망했지만 그래도 일단 먹어봅니다. 먹다보니 새콤 달콤한 맛이 조화롭습니다. 메밀면도 직접 뽑은 면이 아닌 공장식면이고 찬물에 담구어져 있어서 뻗뻗합니다만 먹을만 합니다. 찬은 깍두기와 단무지 단 두가지를 줍니다. 냉모밀을 먹고 나니 무언가 섭섭합니다. 누가 광주를 인심이 좋은 곳이라고 했는지 몰라도, 여기 모밀국수는 생각보다 양이 적습니다. 그리고 입안에서 감칠맛이 돌면서 한 그릇 더 먹고 싶다는 생각이 듭니다. 그래서 이집의 대표선수 메밀국수를 주문합니다. 모밀국수라고 하면 소바를 생각하는데, 이곳에서는 온모밀국수가 소바입니다. 메밀면과 김, 파가 전부인 국수입니다. 면은 국물이 따뜻해서 부드럽습니다. 국물은 쯔유와 멸치육수가 잘 배합된 느낌입니다. 쯔유를 많이 쓰면 느끼한 느낌이 나는데, 쯔유의 느끼함도 없고 멸치의 칼칼함도 없는, 오뎅을 담그지 않은 오뎅국물같은 느낌입니다. 여하튼 맛있습니다. 쓰다보니 이야기가 웃기게 되었는데, 결론은 혼자서 국수를 두 그릇이나 먹고 온 이야기입니다.
