 위치 : 신촌 유플렉스 사거리 파리바게트 골목 들어가면 건물 2층에 바로 보임. 요약평 : 브라질리안의 간판이라 할 수 있는 삐까냐가 평타 수준. 신촌에서 브라질리안 스테이크가 그립다면 이제 굳이 멀리갈 필요가 없을 듯. 그러나 굳이 멀리서 찾아올 이유도 없음. 신촌에서 브라질리안 스테이크 하우스, 흔히 말하는 무한 리필 스테이크집은 카르니 두 브라질이 없어진 이후로 전무하다시피 했습니다. 많이만 먹을 수 있으면야 가성비가 괜찮다고 하더라도, 어쨌든 고기가 소고기이니만큼 일정 가격 이상이 될 수밖에 없고, 그 가격이란 게 가난한 대학생들에겐 부담스러운 가격이다보니 오래 장사하기 힘든 게 아닌가 하고 개인적으로 분석해봅니다. 그러던 와중 지나다니는 길에 어느 순간 이 가게가 생겨있는 걸 발견했습니다. 평소에도 브라질리안 스테이크 하우스를 좋아하는 만큼, 카르니 두 브라질 이후로 신촌에 새로 생긴 이 집이 반가웠고, 그래서 괜찮은가? 하고 검색창에 검색을 해봤습니다. 블로그의 영혼 하나 담겨 있지 않은 이모티콘 떡칠한 평이야 뭐 마케팅도 섞여 있으니 걸러듣는 거고, 사진이나 메뉴라도 보면 대충은 가볼만한 지 아닌 지 감은 잡히니까요. 그러나 왠걸, 아무리 검색해봐도 이 집이 나오질 않더라고요. 마케팅을 아예 안 하나? 간판만 달고 아직 오픈을 안 한 건가? 근데 저녁 때 불은 켜져 있었던 것 같은데? 아무튼 그게 오히려 흥미를 끌어서 오늘 드디어 가보게 되었네요. 일단 주인 및 스태프 전원 외국인인 듯합니다. 목소리가 좀 작은 것 같긴 한데, 어쨌든 한국말로 의사소통 가능. 계산대 옆 벽에 걸려있는 거 액자 같은 거 보니 자세히는 안 봤는데 뭐 나름 경력은 있는 모양이더라고요. 위에 찍은 메뉴는 계산 기다리는 사이 슬쩍 찍은 건데 평일 점심 메뉴판이네요. 저녁과 주말은 무한 33,800원, 종류별로 한 번씩만 나오는 단품 코스가 28,900원이었습니다. 브라질리안 스테이크 하우스 관점에서 보면 그냥 평이한 가격이죠. 점심 가격은 상당히 괜찮은 가격이라고 생각합니다. 참고로 지금은 오픈 기간이라고 20%할인도 하네요. 언제까지인지는 모르겠지만요. 기본적으로 무한 리필은 고기의 질이 좋을 순 없습니다. 그 점은 당연히 감안 하는 거죠. 그러나 두툼한 스테이크가 왕창 먹고 싶을 때, 또는 삐까냐의 그 아름다운 초승달 지방이 눈에 아른거릴 때가 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 제가 브라질리안 스테이크 하우스를 평가하는 기준은 언제나 딱하나, '삐까냐가 괜찮은가, 아닌가' 입니다. 그 기준에서 저는 합격점을 주고 싶네요. 초승달 모양의 지방도 제대로 박혀 있고, 간도 적당하고, 고기 맛도 나쁘지 않습니다. 이제 삐까냐 생각날 때 굳이 이태원이나 고속터미널까지 안 가도 되겠다 싶더라고요(그래도 좀더 퀄리티를 원하면 고속터미널이겠지만). 사실 지방이 그만큼 박혀 있는데 맛이 없을 수도 없긴 합니다만, 간이 안 맞거나, 지나치게 질기거나, 수입육 티를 팍팍 내는 냄새가 심하거나, 심지어 이 사람은 브라질리안 스테이크를 먹어보고 장사하는 건가 싶은 전혀 엉뚱한 모양의 부위가 나오기도 하거든요. 그 이외에 안창살(다른 부위는 이름을 안 외웁니다. 오직 삐까냐!)도 꽤 괜찮은 수준이었고요. 강렬한 지방이 아닌 부드러운 고기맛을 원하시는 분들에게 딱 좋다고 봅니다. 뭐, 소시지나 마늘 듬뿍 올린 고기 조각 이런 건 애당초 제 관심사가 아니고, 마지막에 나온 채끝 스테이크는 좀 별로였습니다. 다른 사이드 메뉴들도 보통 가시면 나오는 대로이고, 맛도 무난합니다. 후식은 당연히 계피 발라 구운 파일애플과 달달한 이과수 커피로 느끼함을 씻어내죠. 양이 적으신 분들은 단품 코스만으로도 이미 부담스러우실 수도 있는 양인 것 같고요. 평일 점심 때 가면 아웃백이니 빕스니 그런 데 가는 것보다 양으로 보나 맛으로 보나 훨 나은 가격이라고 보네요. 덤으로 왜 블로그에 단 한 건도 글이 없을까에 대한 의문도 오늘 풀렸습니다. 먼저 와서 먹고 있던 두 손님의 손에 들려있는 폴더에 무슨 마케팅 회사 계약서라고 적혀있더군요. 아마 좀 있으면 이모티콘 떡칠하고 죄다 똑같은 메뉴 찍어놓고 똑같은 내용 영혼 없이 써놓은 빠와 블로거들의 글들이 검색되겠죠. 앞선 요약평에서도 적었듯이, 역시나 무한 리필이 가질 수밖에 없는 고기 질의 한계란 게 있으므로, 멀리서 굳이 찾아올 정도는 아닙니다. 다만 카르니 두 브라질이 없어진 이후로 신촌에도 다시 굳이 멀리 갈 것 없이 삐까냐(넵, 전 오직 이거 하나 입니다)를 먹으러 갈만한 곳이 생겼다는 게 반가운 거죠. 제발 오래 장사해주길 바라는 마음에서 홍차넷 맛집 게시판에 한 번 올려봤습니다.
