도봉동. 서울의 북쪽 변두리. 아침마다 아름다운 도봉산의 모습을 감상할 수 있는 곳. 서울의 중심가보다 의정부의 중심가와 훨씬 더 가까운 곳. 프랜차이즈 카페는 이디야, 메가, 커피스미스밖에 없는 곳(네? 스타벅스요? 창동이마트 가세요). 그러나 지난 몇 달의 짧은 거주기간 동안 애향심 MAX가 된 저는 이제 떠난 기념으로(흑흑) 그 동안 가본 식당들을 올립니다. 딱히 대단한 맛집들은 아니라도 기본 이상은 하는 곳 + 제가 두 번 이상 방문한 곳만 씁니다.  먼저 위 지도에서 서울북부지방법원 오른쪽에 있는 "마들로" 편입니다. 이쪽에 있는 식당들은 거의 평일 점심 때만 가봤습니다. 순서는 식당 위치 기준으로 남쪽→북쪽. 1. 가마터 (마들로 722-4)  네... 이렇게 생겼습니다(오른쪽 하얀 간판). 대표님은 외양만으로 거부하지만 저는 이런 곳 좋아합니다. 소머리우거지국밥(7,000원)이 꽤 괜찮습니다. 바로 옆에 있는 '자매집'도 한 번밖에 못 가봐서 번외가 됐지만 순대곱창볶음이 저렴하고 맛있었습니다. 2. 의정부신곡부대찌개 (마들로 723) 대표님의 선택지 1. 무난한 부대찌개집. 평생 먹을 부대찌개는 여기서 다 먹은 것 같네요(...) 직원 분들이 친절하십니다. 3. 정초밥724 (마들로 724) 모듬초밥(11,000원)을 시키면 샐러드와 뚝배기우동이 같이 나오고 가끔 연어회나 생선구이 같은 것을 서비스로 주시기도 합니다. 무난한 가성비 맛집이라 점심 때 사람 많습니다. 4. 또돈 (마들로 725) 역시 점심 때는 늘 자리잡기 어려운 작은 돈가스집. '커리 올린' 돈가스(등심 7,900원, 안심 8,900원)과 '크림 올린' 돈가스(가격 동일)이 있는데, 크림도 나름대로 특색이 있지만 저는 역시 커리가 더 좋네요. 5. 오늘도문어마늘보쌈 (마들로 725) 대표님의 선택지 2. 점심에만 하는 보쌈정식(8,000원)만 매번 먹어서 문어도 마늘도 구경해 본 적이 없네요(...) 정식에는 된장찌개와 다양한 반찬이 같이 나옵니다(반찬은 그때그때 조금씩 달라서 지루함을 덜어줌). 6. 조선제일짬뽕화원 (마들로 733-1) 이 근처에 중국집이 별로 없어서 점심 때는 미어터집니다. 그래서 음식이 늦게 나오는 편. 짬뽕이 대표 메뉴라지만 그냥 무난한 정도. 저는 사천볶음밥(6,500원)을 더 많이 먹은 것 같습니다. 7. 남원추어탕 (마들로 735-8) 대표님의 선택지 3. 근처에 다른 남원추어탕(도봉로164길 41)도 있는데 여기가 더 저렴합니다. 추어탕(8,000원)은 무난무난, 된장찌개(8,000원)는 조금 짜요. 가장 맛있는 건 반찬으로 나오는 상추겉절이(...) 8. 바보국수 (마들로 736) 최근 가격이 오르긴 했지만 그래도 이 거리에서 가장 가성비 맛집이 아닐지. 대표 메뉴인 멸치국수(5,000원), 묵은지간장국수(6,000원) 둘 다 괜찮습니다. 비정기적으로 닫는 날이 있습니다(멸치 구하러 가시는 듯?). 9. 우수식당 (마들로 738) 특이하다면 특이하게 돼지국밥과 소우거지국밥을 같이 하는 집. 돼지고기는 국산이고 쇠고기는 수입산이라 저는 돼지국밥만 먹었습니다(...) 국밥 맛도 김치 맛도 좋고, 사장님도 친절하십니다. 10. 히노끼스시 (마들로 742) 대표님의 0순위(손님 대접할 때만 갔음). 모 호텔 주방장 출신이라는 사장님이 운영 중인 숨은 맛집. 특초밥(25,000원)에는 다양한 초밥과(종류는 그때그때 조금씩 변동) 샐러드, 지리, 우동/소바, 새우튀김 등이 코스로 나옵니다. 11. 서신옥 (마들로 746-1) 역시 점심 때 자리 잡기 쉽지 않습니다. 갈비집인데 갈비는 못 먹어봤고, 먹어 본 메뉴 중 된장찌개보다는 갈비살비빔밥(9,000원)이 더 푸짐하다는 느낌이었습니다. 반찬도 깔끔한 편. 12. 주인장이볶은커피 (마들로 772) 카페는 안 쓰려고 했는데 여기는 이 근방에서 가장 괜찮은 카페라 특별히 씁니다. 사장님의 커피 사랑이 느껴지는 가게. 원두도 판매하고 있습니다. 커피 외에 다른 음료도 많고, 수제 스콘과 쿠키도 맛있어요. 맨 위 지도에서 법원 왼쪽에 해당하는 도봉로 편으로 이어집니다!
