기회가 되면 동호회에서 하는 보드게임을 소개해보려고 했는데, 요즘은 아이들과 하는 시간이 더 많아져서, 아이들과 하는 보드게임을 소개해보려고 합니다. (참고로 아이들은 초등학교 3학년과 1학년입니다. ) 1. 크루소 해적단 - 강추 https://tumblbug.com/crusoecrew 우선, 이건 게임북입니다. 게임북이라면... 보통 한 권의 책으로 이루어져 있고, 순서대로 읽는게 아니라 퍼즐을 풀때마다 페이지를 앞뒤로 건너뛰면서 진행하는 게임인데, 특이하게 이 게임북은 4권으로 이루어져 있습니다. 4명의 캐릭터가 있고 각자의 특기가 있는데, 각 게임북에는 그 특기를 이용해서 특정 캐릭터만 갈 수 있는 곳이 있습니다. 대부분은 같은 길을 따라 가지만, 특정 상황에서는 다른 일행은 그 자리에 남겨두고 자신만 갈 수 있는 곳을 다녀오는 방식입니다. 예를 들면, 동물이 있는 곳에 가면 동물과 대화할 수 있는 캐릭터의 책에만 다른 캐릭터의 책에는 없는 숫자가 써있어서 그 페이지를 다녀오는 식이죠. 참 잘 만든 게임이예요. 캐릭터들도 해적이고, 만화도 귀여워서 우리 아이들이 가장 좋아합니다. 검색해보시면 게임 후기들도 많이 있습니다.  2. 플래시 포인트 (Flash Point) 소방관이 되어서 불끄는 게임입니다. 안타깝게도 한글판이 없긴 한데, 게임 자체에 언어요소가 있는 건 아니라서 처음에 룰북만 잘 설명해주면 언어의 부담은 없습니다. 컴포넌트들도 아이들이 좋아하고, 역시 소방관이 되서 불을 끈다는 테마 자체가 아이들에게 어필하는 것 같아요. 확장판이 많긴 한데, 본판으로도 충분히 재미있네요. 어린이집 다니는 아이들에게는 조금 어려울 수도 있습니다.  3. 여우와 탐정 (Out foxed) 플럼버트 부인의 고기파이를 훔쳐간 여우를 찾아라! 지도를 돌아다니면서 단서를 찾고, 단서 판독기를 통해서 범인을 찾아내는 게임입니다. 역시 아기자기한 컴포들과 단서 판독기가 아이들을 사로잡았죠. 다만, 이 게임은 6~8세정도가 적당한 거 같아요. 초등학교 3학년만 되어도 좀 유치하게 느낄지도...  목걸이 단서를 찾았고, 이걸 단서 판독기에 넣었더니... 범인은 목걸이를 착용하고 있는 것으로 나타나네요. (사진이 별로라 잘 안 보이는데, 저 구멍으로 초록색이 있답니다.)  모자를 썼을까요? 단서 판독기에 넣었더니 모자는 안 썼다네요... (역시 사진이 별로인데, 저 구멍에 그냥 흰색 바탕만 보입니다.)  4. 방방곡곡 : 세계 유랑 한국어판 https://tumblbug.com/itchyfeet 그저께 배달된 따끈따끈한 게임입니다. 카드게임이고, 룰도 간단한데다가 테마가 여행이라 얘들이 좋아하네요. 여행지를 정하고, 여권과 소지품을 챙겨서 여행지로 가장 먼저 떠나는 사람이 승자죠. 그림체도 재미있고, 카드 내용들도 여행이라는 테마와 잘 맞아서 몰입감이 있네요.  - 추가 5. 무당벌레와 가장무도회 https://www.koreaboardgames.com/boardgame/game_view.php?prd_idx=16304 지금은 아이들이 초등학생들이라 중고로 처분했지만, 아이들이 5~7살때 제일 재미있게 했던 게임 중에 하나가 무당벌레와 가장무도회였습니다. 무당벌레들 입이 자석으로 되어 있는데, 룰렛을 돌려서 선택된 무당벌레를 다른 무당벌레 앞에 가져가면... 자석의 극성이 다르면 찰싹 하고 붙고, 극성이 같으면 휙~하고 돌아갑니다. 무당벌레 몸통이 바닥에 바짝 붙어있는게 아니라 쉽게 돌아가도록 되어 있습니다. 딱 붙으면 와~ 친해~~, 몸통이 돌아가면 ㅠㅠ 안친해 ㅠㅠ 하면서 아이들이 참 재미있어 했죠. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgImNf6ZUPo 참고로, 전반적으로 마감이 좋은 편은 아니라서, 몸통에 끼울때 너무 빡빡한 "점"들도 있습니다. 아무래도 아이들이 직접 하는게 재미있는데, 아이들이 힘으로 억지로 끼우거나 억지로 빼는 게 힘드니까, 아예 그런 컴포는 따로 빼놓는게 도움이 되실 겁니다. X. 여담 - 제가 하는 거의 모든 게임은 다 협력게임입니다. 1등이 따로 있는 경쟁게임이 아니라, 이기면 모두 이기고, 지면 모두 함께 지는, 모든 플레이어가 공통의 목표를 가지고 플레이하는 협력게임이죠. 아직 아이들이 어려서 지면 싸우고 울고 해서 결국 경쟁게임은 다 퇴출...ㅠㅠ 그러고 보니, 위의 게임들도 방방곡곡 빼고는 모두 협력게임이네요. - 규칙은 엄격하게 적용하지 않습니다. 게임 중간에 룰을 바꾸는 건 안되지만, 너무 어렵거나 복잡한 룰은 그냥 빼고 합니다. 어쨌거나 즐겁게 하는게 중요하니까요. 규칙을 꼭 지켜야 된다고 해서 게임을 지루하게 만들거나 아이들 흥미를 잃게 하는 건 최대한 지양하는게 좋더라구요. - 요새는 보드게임도 크라우드 펀딩으로 자주 사게 되네요. 크루소 해적단이나 방방곡곡은 크라우드 펀딩으로 산 거네요. * Cascade님에 의해서 티타임 게시판으로부터 게시물 복사되었습니다 (2020-01-13 23:50) * 관리사유 : 추천게시판으로 복사합니다.
