안녕하세요. 홍차넷에는 처음 글을 남겨봅니다. 간간히 와서 읽다 보니 모든 글들을 다 읽지는 못해서 뒤늦게 보게 된 글이 있어서 말씀드리고자 합니다. '문학을 사랑하는 고등학생으로서' 라는 글을 보고 고전시가는 따분하기만 하다는 말씀에 안타까워서 짧게 적어봅니다. 1. 우선 이걸 보고 들어가시지요. 조선의 여류 시인 김운초의 시 중에 한편입니다. 寒梅孤着可憐枝 한매고착가련지 滯雨顚風困委垂 체우전풍곤위수 縱令落地香猶在 종령락지향유재 勝似楊花蕩浪姿 승사양화탕랑자 가느단 가지 끝에 매화 한 송이 끊임없는 비바람에 외로이 떠네 힘겨워 땅에 져도 감도는 향기 부랑(浮浪)한 버들꽃과 견주지 말라 저는 이 시를 보고 '매화는 눈보다 삼할 쯤 덜 희지만 향기라면 눈을 이기고도 남는다'는 다른 시의 구절을 떠올리고는 혼자서 감탄했습니다. 시정은 이렇게 연결되는 것이구나, 라구요. 저는 원래 문학을 좋아하는 사람이라고 하기는 어렵지만, 원래 문학을 좋아하는 사람들은 이렇게 행간마다 내가 아는 잡지식이 와서 달라 붙을때 혼자만 아는 쾌감이 있지 않습니까? 특히 그 즐거움은 고전을 읽을때 극대화 되는 것 같습니다. 2. 또 저는 고문古文은 고문苦問이라 하시는 분들께 늘 말씀드리는 것이 있습니다. '소리를 내어 읽어보시라' 고요. 우선 소리를 내어 읽어보라는 것은 위에 보여드린 시만 해도 아실겁니다 꼭 병음이나 한매~~~하는 창으로 읽지 않더라도 몇번 반복해서 읽어보면 라임과 플로우가 느껴지실겁니다. 한매/고착/가련'지', 체우/전풍/곤위'수', 종령/락지/향유'재', 승사/양화/탕랑'자', 이렇게요. 이건 동서고금의 절창이라는, 지겹게 외우셨을 정지상의 대동강을 한번 보시면 더 쉽습니다. 우헐장제초색다 雨歇長堤草色多 비개인 제방에는 풀들이 파릇한데 송군남포동비가 送君南浦動悲歌 남포로 임 보내며 슬픈 노래 불러보네 대동강수하시진 大同江水何時盡 대동강 강물은 언제나 다 마르려나 별루년년첨록파 別淚年年添綠波 해마다 이별눈물 뿌려서 보태는데. 2. 그리고 현대문학이나 시를 읽을때도 작가나 한 문장, 한 작품에 꽂히기도 하는 것이지요? 고전시가도 마찬가지입니다. 이럴때 꽂히는 것에는 아무 이유가 없습니다. 왜냐면 그건 내 감정에 취해 그런 것이기 때문입니다. 아마 헤칼트님께서 '도저히 공감할 수가 없다'고 생각하신 따분한 고전시가 중에 하나일 것이 분명한, 중고등학교 교과서에 거듭해서 나오는 '유산가'를 예로 들어보겠습니다. 제게 이상하게 고전시가 하면 계속 머릿속에 콕 박혀있는 구절이 하나 있거든요 유상앵비柳上鶯飛는 편편금片片金이요, 화간접무花間蝶舞는 분분설粉粉雪이라 해석하기도 쉽습니다 버들, 위, 꾀꼬리, 날다 / 조각,조각, 금 꽃들, 사이, 나비, 춤추다 / 가루, 가루, 눈 그러니까, 버들 위로 나는 꾀꼬리 조각조각 금가루를 뿌린 듯 꽂들 사이 춤추는 나비 눈날리듯 노는구나 라고 제맘대로 해석해도 됩니다. 파란 버들가지 사이에 노란 꾀꼬리가 반짝거리면서 흩어져있는 것, 각양각색의 꽃들 사이로 하얀 나비들이 눈가루처럼 흩날리는 광경이 머리에 떠오르지 않으시나요? 바로 봄의 풍경입니다. 또한 저에게 이 고전시가는 한량한 봄의 풍경을 노래한 시가 아니라, 첫사랑의 간질거리는 마음이기도 합니다. 왜냐면 담임선생님이셨던 국어선생님께서 시험문제에 일명 빈칸채우기(!)를 낸다고 하셔서 이 긴 걸 다 외울 수밖에 없었을 때, 한창 외우느라 골 패고 있을때 교통사고처럼 치고 지나간 첫사랑이었거든요. 내 마음속에 금가루처럼 눈가루처럼 점점히 흩어져 콕 박혀있는 그 부풀어오르는 감정들의 지점이 바로 여기에 있는 것이죠. 어떻습니까? 조금이나마 고전에 대한 원망을 좀 해소하셨는지요? 너무 저만 알아듣는 글로 썼나 싶어서 좀 그렇긴 하지만 우선 적어봅니다. 물론 저도 일명 요즘의 일본소설 유행(?)은 별로 좋아하지 않습니다. 제가 이해가 안되는 감성이거든요-_- 옛부터 김용을 모범으로 삼고 마이클 크라이튼을 지향점으로 알며 르귄여사를 존경하고, 한국 작가로는 성석제님밖에 몰라서(..는 오바라서 김훈, 박완서까지는 수비범위입니다?) 묻지마 구매를 일삼는 저로서는 특히나 더요. 또 현대 한국 문학에 대한 조예가 없어서 힘든 것도 있습니다. 전 역사고 문학이고를 막론하고 갑오개혁 이후에 일어난 모든 것들을 별로 좋아하지 않는 경향이 있거든요.-_- 이 글이 편식쟁이의 편견을 깨주실 좋은 읽을거리들을 추천해주시는 멍석이 된다면 더욱 좋겠습니다. * Toby님에 의해서 자유 게시판으로부터 게시물 복사되었습니다 (2015-06-17 15:45) * 관리사유 : 추천게시판으로 복사합니다.
