결혼하고도 이제 꽤 시간이 지났으니, 편하게 해 보는 이야기입니다. ( 대학생 때 쯤 이었던 걸로 기억합니다. 초등학교 동창 여자애가 하나 있었는데 양가 부모님이 모두 친분이 두텁고 같은 아파트 단지 바로 옆 동에 사는 관계로 (엄밀하게 말하자면 그 여자애의 어머님은 저희 이모의 베프, 아버님은 저희 아버지의 고등학교-대학교 후배셨습니다) 꾸준히 저와도 친하게 지냈지요 (사실 친하게 지냈다기보단 서로 으르렁대기 바빴지만). 대학을 서울에 있는 곳으로 진학하게 되면서 이 친구랑은 자연스레 연락이 뜸해졌었는데 (이친구는 부산 소재 대학을 갔습니다) 군대 가기 얼마 전에 부산에 휴학하고 내려왔더니 이 친구가 제 초등학교 동창 중에 절 좋아했다던 여학생이 있었다는 이야기를 뒤늦게 해줬었지요. 그리고 제 메일 주소를 물어봐서 가르쳐줬는데, 정작 부산 집에 컴퓨터가 없어서 메일을 거의 확인을 못했었습니다. 애초에 엄청 진지하게 이야기한 것도 아니고 '너 XXX라고 아나? 걔가 니 맘에 들어했었는데 몰랐제? 니 부산 내리온다카이 니 소식 물어보더라' 뭐 이정도 지나가는 말투로 물어봐서 몰랐었습니다. 나중에 군대 가서도 한~참 지나서 컴퓨터를 사용할 수 있게 되었을 때, 메일함을 보고 땅을 치고 후회했었지요. 참 많이도 보냈었더군요. 그 동창 여학생이. 자신은 어떻게 보냈는지, 왜 나를 좋아하게 되었는지, 자기 근황은 어떤지, 자기 사진 등등. [그래도 군대 가기 전에 언젠가 읽겠지? 나중에 군대 가면 꼭 편지 보낼 테니 주소 가르쳐줘] 에서 진짜 땅을 치고 후회했었습니다. 전역 후 알아보니 다른 사람 만나서 잘 사귀고 있다더군요. 유머게시판에 옛날 메일, 옛날 문자 이야기가 나오길래 갑자기 불쑥 생각나서 써 봤습니다. 이것말고도 썰 풀자면 많은데 (중고딩 시절 펜팔하던 밀양 산다던 여학생이 나중에 대학 다닐 때 어떻게 제 번호를 알았는지 전화로 고백송을 음악메시지로 보냈는데 그 때는 발신번호도 안 뜰 때고 그 분인지도 모르고 노래 끝까지 듣기 귀찮아서 1분 정도 듣다가 딴짓하고 있었는데 막판에 제 귀에 들려온 'XXX님께서 보내신 메시지입니다' 에서 그 여학생의 이름을 듣고 아뿔싸 했는데 이미 그 앞에 어떤 번호로 보냈는지는 놓쳐버렸던 일이라던가 미팅에 대타로 갔는데 정작 옆 테이블의 여성분이랑 진짜 우연이 몇 번씩 겹쳐서 어찌저찌 그날 종일 엮였는데 알고보니 전북 익산 (당시 이리라는 지명으로 기억합니다) 사시는데 일이 있어서 잠깐 서울 올라오신 분이셨고 다음주에 꼭 다시 만나고 싶다고 다음주 같은 요일 같은 시간에 이 커피숍 앞에서 보자 했는데 갑자기 그 전날 할머니께서 돌아가셔서 황망히 내려갔던 일이라던가 아직까지도 절친 몇몇 사이에서는 전설로 회자되는 유부녀한테 유혹당해서 정신 못차렸던 사건이라던가 아무튼 별의 별 일이 다 있었네요. 별 재미없는 지나간 성공하지 못했던 연애담이라 영양가는 없지만 혹 흥미를 보이시는 분이 계시다면 다음에 기회 되면 제대로 써보고 싶긴 합니다. 더 쓴다기엔 사실 별 것도 없는 일들이긴 한데 내일 새벽 일찍 울산에 출장가야 될 일이 있어서 가급적 칼퇴를 노리고 있는지라... * 수박이두통에게보린님에 의해서 티타임 게시판으로부터 게시물 복사되었습니다 (2016-08-17 15:50) * 관리사유 : 추천 게시판으로 복사합니다.
