안녕하세요, 메존일각입니다. 많이들 아시겠지만 제가 영상과 사진을 취미로 자주 찍는데요. 사전에 촬영지를 답사해 보는 건 정말 중요합니다. 상업 현장에서는 당연히 말할 필요조차 없고, 취미 단계라고 해도 가능하면 하는 게 좋습니다. 촬영지를 미리 눈으로 익힐 수 있고 본 촬영 단계의 시간을 줄어드는 장점이 있기 때문인데요. 여기저기 돌아다니며 좋은 스팟을 확보할 수 있고, 스팟을 사진으로 남겨두면 본 촬영 때의 시행착오도 줄일 수 있습니다. 제 경우는 촬영지를 평일에 일부러 시간을 내어 찾기는 힘들기 때문에, 약속 시간보다 1시간 정도 일찍 도착하는 편입니다. 카메라 세팅도 해둘 겸, 스팟도 찾아볼 겸. 지난 주말에는 정독 도서관 주변을 돌아다니며 스팟을 찍어봤어요. 촬영지의 대략적인 동선을 생각하며 태양 이동 경로를 확인한 후 모델과 아침 9시로 약속을 잡은 상태였고 저는 아침 8시쯤 도착했습니다. 탐라에서도 종종 얘기하지만 저는 풍경 대신 거의 인물 사진만 찍기 때문에, 사전에 사진을 찍을 때는 배경에 가상의 사람을 세워보는 편입니다. 아직 인물도 못찍지만, 아무튼 그 탓에 풍경은 진짜 못찍습니다. ㅠㅠ 그렇게 이래저래 30~40군데쯤 미리 찍어봤는데, 시간의 흐름에 따라 그림자가 바뀌기도 하고, 찍어보니 별로인 곳도 있고, 그 경로를 지나치지 않는 경우도 있어서 몇 군데만 추려서 공유해볼까 합니다. 물론 제가 타인에게 정보를 알려드릴 정도의 실력이 있지는 않은데요. 구도가 어떻고 소실점이 어떻고 그런 얘기를 하려는 것도 아니고, 그냥 이런저런 잡담도 할 겸 홍차넷에 잘 찍는 선생님들이 많으시기 때문에 피드백도 받을 겸 겸사겸사써보는 겁니다. 또 스냅이란 게 우연성에서 도출되는 결과물이 굉장히 많기 때문에 사전에 확인한 대로만 움직이는 건 더더욱 아닙니다. 사진을 먼저 보여드리고, 어떤 의도로 찍었는지 발퀄 그림과 함께 설명해보려고 합니다. 그림으로 표시된 사람(???)에 숫자를 매기고 관련 얘기도 함께 하겠습니다. 대략적인 프레이밍을 해둔 상태이긴 하지만 인물 위치가 바뀌거나 앵글이 바뀌거나 화각이 바뀌는 등 여러 배리에이션이 있습니다. -------  #01 동아일보 창간사옥터 쪽에서 정독도서관으로 올라가는 비탈길입니다. 아침이라 아직 그림자가 길기 때문에 역사광으로 촬영했을 때 좋은 느낌을 낼 수 있는 곳인데요.  1) 벤치에 사람을 앉혀두기만 해도 이미 예쁜 모습이 나옵니다. 사진사가 벤치 가까이, 사진 기준 왼쪽으로 이동하여 촬영하면 정확히 역광을 기대할 수도 있고요. 이때 스트로브를 적당히 터뜨려주면 어두운 그림자도 없애면서 무거운 느낌의 결과를 낼 수 있습니다. 2) 계단의 정가운데에서 약간 왼쪽으로 치우쳐 앉히면 예쁘겠다고 생각했어요. 볕이 너무 좋았거든요. 3) 난간을 양손으로 짚고 서서 뒤를 돌아보면 얼굴에 빛이 볼의 곡선을 타고 예쁘게 묻으면서 멋진 결과물이 나올 것 같았어요.  #02 정독도서관 내 휴게소입니다. 휴게소 철골 위의 등나무에 태양이 빛을 내리쬐며 어지러이 만들어내는 빛과 그림자가 열을 지은 벤치를 스치면서 심심하지 않은 결과를 만듭니다.  1) 모델을 딱 저 위치에 앉혀만 놔도, 그냥 아무 것도 안 하고 정면 보면서 앉으라고만 해도 그림이 됩니다. 포즈를 바꾸는 건 배리에이션인 거고요. 2) 정 역광으로 걸어오거나 아니면 해가 있는 쪽으로 이동하다가 누가 부르는 소리에 뒤돌아보는 느낌 정도도 좋습니다. 몸을 옆으로 하고 비스듬하게 서서 카메라를 무심하게 바라봐도 괜찮을 것 같고요.  #03 정독도서관 구내 식당인 소담정입니다. 건물의 유래 같은 건 모르겠지만 외벽의 색과 건물 규모와 고풍스런 느낌이 좋아서 그냥 찍어봤습니다.  1) 주변 풍광이 좋아서 인물 중심적이 아니고 인물이 배경에 녹아드는 느낌 정도면 딱 적당하다 싶었습니다. 역사광이라 인물을 가만히 세워만 둬도...  #04 정독도서관 내 교육박물관으로 올라오는 곳입니다. 왼쪽의 노출 콘크리트 외벽이 나름의 조형미를 만들어내고, 정확히 어떤 건물인지는 모르겠는데 스팬이 뻗어져 나오는 빨간 벽돌의 지붕?과 잘 조화를 이룹니다. 도드락 다듬을 한 바닥과 석부재도 조화롭고요. 시시각각 이 공간이 만들어내는 그림자가 재미있는 곳입니다.  1) 도로 쪽에 사람을 세워두면 빛을 역광으로 받게 됩니다. 얼굴 각도가 좀 중요한데, 완전 태양을 등지고 역광으로 서 있으면 얼굴이 너무 어두워질 테고요. 고개를 태양 쪽으로 향하고 있는 뒷모습도 괜찮을 것 같습니다. 2) 장대석형 벤치(?) 끝부분. 완전 끝 말고 약간의 공간을 둔 채로 앉히면 빛이 측면에서 얼굴을 때리는 식이 될 겁니다. 이 자체로도 나쁘지 않고 여기에서 여러 배리에이션을 줄 수 있죠. 3) 쌩뚱맞게 앉아있는 사람인데요. (...) 사람을 보도 쪽에 세우고 촬영 각도를 약간 낮춘 후 촬영하는 게 더 나을 수도 있겠지요. 빛을 풍부하게 받기 때문에 인물에게서 입체감이 확 살아날 것 같았습니다.  #05 정독도서관에서 안국역 쪽으로 내려가는, 양쪽에 덕성여중/여고를 지나는 길목입니다. S자로 꺾이는 길과 왼쪽의 상가, 오른쪽의 초목이 어지러이 섞여 재미있습니다.  1) 외국인 분이 서 있는 저 위치가 모델을 세우기 너무 좋았습니다. 딱 여행객 컨셉으로 캐리어를 들고 이동하거나 카메라를 들고 이리저리 둘러보는 모습이 예쁠 것 같았어요. 아니면 사진사를 발견하고 반갑게 손을 흔드는 모습도 좋겠지요.  #06 정독도서관에서 안국역 쪽으로 내려가는 길목에 위치한 윤보선길입니다. 왼쪽의 견치석 옹벽과 오른쪽의 사고석 담이 대비를 이루고 평평하지 않은 배부른 비탈길이기 때문에 더 입체감이 살아납니다.  1) 가로등 뒷쪽으로 우측의 건물 사이를 통해 빛이 잘 들어오고 있는데요. 그쪽에 사람을 '두면' 그냥 딱일 것 같았습니다. 2) 사고석 담장에 사람이 한 손을 벽에 짚은 채 서있거나 막대기 같은 걸로 찍찍 그으며 걸어가거나, 그러다 뒤를 돌아보거나... 3) 왼쪽 견치석 옹벽 쪽에 몸을 기대듯이 서있거나, 한쪽 다리를 굽혀 발바닥을 벽에 붙이고 서있거나, 시계를 보고 있거나 등등을 생각해 봤습니다.  #07 이화익 갤러리에서 현대미술관쪽으로 나가는 골목길입니다. 길이 너무 네모반듯하지 않아서 좋습니다. 사진 찍는 데는 이런 곳이 참 좋죠.  1) 관광객이 매장 문 앞에 서서 간판 등을 쳐다보는 모습을 생각해 봤고요. 2) 카메라를 든 관광객이 그늘이 아닌 양지에 서서 호기심 어린 눈으로 여기저기 둘러보는 모습을 생각해 봤습니다.  #08 아주 정확한 위치는 기억이 안 나는데, 아마 안국역에서 정독도서관으로 올라가는 길목의 배스킨라빈스 반대편 골목길이었던 것 같습니다. 빨간 벽돌과 골동품을 모아놓은 쇼윈도와 덩굴과 그림자가 아주 절묘하게 조화를 이룬 곳입니다. 개인적으로 아주 마음에 들었던 곳이었어요. 이때가 딱 9시 정도였는데요. 위치상 해가 위로 바로 넘어가기 때문에 1시간~1시간 반 내에 벽면 전체가 그림자로 뒤덮히는 곳입니다.  1) 모델을 벽면에 딱 붙여서 세우고 몸은 정면을 보고, 고개는 관심 없다는 듯 좌를 보거나 쇼윈도에 관심을 보이고 우를 보는 식으로 찍어보고 싶었습니다. 이날 모델이 좀 늦게 와서 모델을 쇼윈도 좌측이 아니라 우측에 두고 사진을 찍었는데요. 기대했던 이 구도에서만큼은 아니었지만 그럭저럭 만족할 만큼은 나왔던 것 같습니다.  #09 오설록 티하우스 맞은편 골목 어딘가입니다. 아기자기한 풍경이 마음에 썩 들었습니다.  1) 벽에 기대 발끝을 내려다보는 사람을 생각해 봤고요. 아니면 친구나 연인이 온 것을 보고 반가워서 반색하는 모습도 괜찮을 거라고 생각했습니다. 2) 실물 고양이가 필요하긴 한데, 화분 위에 고양이가 일광욕을 즐기며 심드렁하게 있고, 모델이 쪼그리고 앉아서 흥미롭게 쳐다보는 느낌이 재미있을 거라고 생각했습니다.  #10 이쪽 지리를 세세하게는 몰라서 정확한 위치를 설명드리기는 어렵고, 정독도서관 둘렛길입니다.  1) 벽에 등을 대거나 비스듬하게 서서 정면을 무심하게 쳐다보거나, 전봇대를 올려다보는 모습을 떠올렸고요. 2) 견치석 옹벽 쪽에 등을 대고 다리를 앞으로 쭉 뻗은 채 앉은 모습을 떠올려 봤습니다.  #11 ㄱ자로 꺾이는 정독도서관 둘렛길입니다.  1) ㄱ자로 꺾이는 왼쪽 골목길에서 새어 들어오는 빛이 좋은 곳이었습니다. 모델을 세워두면 측광을 받아 강렬한 느낌을 줄 수 있습니다. 2) 몸을 반쯤 내밀어 말똥말똥 쳐다보거나 혀를 내밀거나 하는 식으로 귀여운 느낌을 연출할 수 있겠다고 생각했습니다. 이때는 화각을 좀 좁혀야겠죠.  #12 정독도서관 둘렛길입니다. 아기자기한 건물들이 많은데 아직 매장 오픈 전이라 잠깐 올라가서 사진을 찍을 수 있었습니다.  1) 난간에 손을 짚고 계단에 올라가는 모습 그 자체나, 고개를 그냥 옆으로 돌리거나 아니면 몸까지 좀 비틀어 뒤를 돌아보는 모습이 괜찮을 것 같았습니다. 2) 계단에 쪼그리고 앉아 양팔을 감싸듯이 포즈를 잡고 고개를 무릎 사이에 파묻거나 고개만 살짝 들어 쳐다보는 느낌을 생각했습니다. 혹은 양손으로 난간을 잡고 고개까지 난간에 기울이는 느낌도 괜찮을 거라고 생각했어요.  #13 정독도서관 둘렛길입니다. 이마트24 편의점 근처의 카페였고, 아직 오픈하기 전이어서 여유가 있었습니다.  1) 의자에 앉아 차분히 책을 읽는 느낌도 괜찮고 모자 등 매무새를 가다듬거나 메이크업을 하는 느낌도 괜찮을 것 같았습니다. 2) 1)의 위치가 태양이 순광이어서 사진적으로는 덜 예쁠 듯하여 2)의 위치에 앉히는 것도 생각해 봤습니다. 메이크업을 하다가 누군가 부르니 놀란 듯 뒤돌아보는 느낌도 괜찮을 것 같았습니다. ------- 본문의 긴 줄에 비해 뭔가 대단한 내용을 담고 있지는 않은데요. 느낌적인 부분을 자세히 글로 풀기가 애매하기도 하고, 사진은 결과물은 멈춰있지만 사진사는 멈추지 않고 끊임없이 앵글을 바꿔가며 나만의 프레임을 찾아내는 작업이기도 하지요. 사진이란 건 정답도 없고 개개인의 미적 주관이 다 다를 수밖에 없는데, 오히려 그렇기 때문에 나만의 앵글을 찾아내면서 촬영에 대한 즐거움이 확 커지는 것 같습니다. 따라서 위에 뻘~하게 써둔 의도는 대략적인 생각을 썼구나 정도로만 봐주시면 좋겠습니다. 긴 글 읽어주셔서 감사드리고, 생각나시는 내용을 편히 댓글로 달아주시면 더 좋을 듯합니다. :) * Cascade님에 의해서 티타임 게시판으로부터 게시물 복사되었습니다 (2023-04-24 19:35) * 관리사유 : 추천게시판으로 복사합니다.
