안녕하세요 함께사는 할머니(만 80세)가 저혈당 쇼크로 응급실에 갔다왔습니다. 할머니는 본래 고혈압과 당뇨로 약을 엄청나게 많이 드시고 계십니다. 전날부터 어지럽고 밥먹기가 싫고 체한것 같다고 말씀하셨고 당일에도 아침을 일찍 드시고 난 뒤 오전까지는 괜찮으셨다가 점심 때부터 기운이 없다고 하셨습니다. 그리고 하루종일 아무것도 드시지 않으시고, 밤 10시쯤부터 다시 갑자기 어지러움을 호소하셨는데 이때 일시적으로 얼굴 근육, 손, 발 등이 경직되고, 말을 인출하지 못하는 증세를 보이셨습니다. 저는 뇌졸중증상인줄 알고 너무 놀래서 응급실에 갔는데, 병원에 도착하니 말도 할 수 있게 되었고 지남력도 돌아오고 뭐 그랬습니다. 병원에서도 X-ray 찍고, 피검사를 하더니 저혈당 쇼크?인거 같다고 하시면서 당뇨라고 식이제한 하지 말고 드시고 싶은거 다 드시라고만하고 링겔?맞고 집으로 돌아왔습니다. 병원갈때는 들것에 실려갔지만 올땐 두발로 걸어오셨습니다. 저혈당 쇼크로도 뇌졸중유사증상을 보일 수 있다는 것을 처음 알았습니다. 제가 궁금한건 1. X-ray는 왜 찍은걸까요..? 필요하니까 찍었겠지만... 2. 이제부터 진짜 궁금한 것들인데요, 저는 아무리 저혈당 때문에 보인 증상이라고 해도 할머니가 나이도 있으시고 해서 저는 뇌사진을 찍어보았으면 하는데, 굳이 그러지 않아도 괜찮은걸까요? 3. 앞으로의 관리에 대해서 궁금합니다. 그동안 할머니께서 고혈압, 당뇨 약을 잘 챙겨 드시기도 하고, 운동도 매일 1시간씩 하시고, 식사도 저염!잡곡! 뭐 이렇게 해와서 고혈압과 당뇨가 잘 관리되고 있다고 생각해 왔습니다. 뭐 이번 일의 사건은 할머니께서 거의 뭐 이틀동안 식사를 제대로 하시지 못해서 일어난 일이기도 하지만... 그래도 앞으로 당뇨 관리에 대해서 어떻게 해야할지 잘 모르겠습니다. 의사말로는 드시고 싶은거 다 드시라고 하는데, 그 경계?한계?가 어디까지 인건지도 궁금합니다. (그래도 진짜 막 탄수화물 엄청 빡 많이 먹으면 안되는 거겠지요..? 크리스피 도넛같은..) 4. 저혈당증을 겪은 사람들의 보통의 경과에 대해서 궁금합니다. 한번 쇼크가 오면 두 번 이상의 쇼크를 경험할 확률이 증가하는지.. 아니면 한번의 쇼크로 그치는 확률이 더 많은지... 5. 가정용 혈압측정기와 당측정기를 구입하려고 합니다. 검색을 해보니 뭐 이것저것 많이 나오기는하는데 잘 모르겠어서 편리하고 괜찮은 것 좀 추천 부탁드립니다. 으아 저도 제가 이런 질문을 하게 될 줄은 몰랐습니다 ㅠ 어디 데이트할 맛집이나, 요즘 가장 핫한 플레이스가 어디인지 같은 질문이나 하게 될줄 알았는데 말입니다.ㅠ 모쪼록 홍차넷엔 많은 의료진들이 계시니 답변 부탁드립니다! 4. 규칙적인 식이관리만 잘 된다면야 (적당하고 규칙적인 식사, 필요한 간식 등) 저혈당 재발의 위험은 줄어들지 않을까요. 약간의 어지러움과 구토증세 등의 저혈당을 경험하신 분들은 주머니에 항상 사탕같은거 넣어다니십니다. 정말 저혈당이면 당장 도움이 될 수는 있으니깐요.
