슬슬 나이도 들고, 직급도 올라가다 보니 사내 정치가 눈에 들어오게 되었습니다. 그러다 보니 예전엔 정치질? 그딴거 왜 함? 내가 이렇게 일을 잘하는데? 라고 생각했었는데....사실 정치 X까라 그래. 그딴거 안해도 난 실력으로 내 앞가림 가능함 은 정말 정말 정말 특출난 상위 1% 의 극 소수라는걸 깨달았습니다. 제가 일을 못하는건 아니지만 그 정도는 아니고 그냥 한 평범한 10~20% 정도인 것 같습니다. 즉 정치질을 배제할 특출난 실력은 아니라는 거죠. 문제는 이런걸 너무 못합니다. 회사에서도 일만 하는 스타일이고 애초에 회사를 떠나 대인관계 자체가 넓거나 깊지도 않아요. 친구도 별로 없고 슬슬 내가 잘못한 것도 아닌데 불이익을 받는 것도 생기고....내가 분명 더 잘했는데 경쟁에서 밀리기도 하고 바로 위 선배가 충고 하면서 너 그렇게 하면 회사 생활 오래 못한다. 나도 정치질 싫어하는데...그렇다고 누구누구 라인 타라는 이야긴 아니고 최소한 발은 걸쳐서 적은 만들지 말아라 라고 하더군요. 너무 어렵습니다. 사랑보다도 힘든 것 같아요. 인생 선배님들의 조언 부탁드립니다. 회사도 회사지만 업종마다 좀 다르지 싶습니다.
제가 몸담고 있는 건설족은 프로젝트와 현장 중심으로 돌아갈 수밖에 없고 그래서
쉽게 말해 코드가 중요한듯합니다.
같은 업무라고 하더라도 PM마다, 소장마다 타입이 다른데 이게 다른 소장이랑 완전 공존불가능인 경우들도 있어서..
그러다보니 자연스럽게 XX상무가 가면 XX부장이랑 XX차장이 패키지로 다니기도 하고, 그 상무가 줄을 타고 쭉 올라가면, 부장과 차장이 잘되는 경우가 있죠. 저도 첫 직장의 첫 현장부터 예쁨을 받았고 그 현장이 싹다 메인스트림이라 (그래봐야 엄청 좋... 더 보기

그리고 (이건 논란의 여지도 있고 욕도 먹을 수 있지만 ㅎ) [내가 분명 더 잘했는데 경쟁에서 밀리기도 하고] 라는 이야기를 많이 듣기도 하는데, 저기서 '분명 더 잘했다'라는 기준이 1. 내가 생각할 때인지, 2. 내 주변 사람들의 이야기인지 (정치라는건 반드시 임원이 끼어있어야만 되는게 아닙니다. 우리 주변에서 작게작게 벌어지는게 다 정치고 외교죠), 3. 진급에서 까인 나를 위로해주려고 맘에도 없는 소리를 하는 것인지, 4. 진짜 정말 잘한건데 정치에서 밀린건지를 구분해야하지 싶기도 합니다. 제 경험상 4만 있는 경우는 정말 10%도 안될거 같고, 2+4가 패키지로도 많이 오죠.
제가 지금 다니는 회사는 외국회사같은건데, 여기도 (정도의 차이는 있지만) 뭐 다 있더라고요.
