매번 글을 썼다 지웠다 반복하다가 그냥 작성하기로 마음 먹고 씁니다. 올해 30세가 된 남성입니다. 이 나이대까지 뭔가 이뤄본 적도 없고.. 대학 자퇴를 한 고졸입니다. 현재 공무원 시험 준비를 하는 중에 기존 우울증이 심해져서 매번 한숨만 쉬고 피곤해서 집에서 누워있는 시간이 대부분입니다. 약을 복용해고 운동을 빡쌔게 해도 근본적인 무기력증은 나아지질 않습니다. 최근 1년사이 살도 10kg 넘게 빠지고 근육도 꽤 붙었는데 몸을 움직이가 힘듭니다. 자꾸 드는 부정적인 생각 '나는 왜 이 나이대까지 성공을 못했을까?' '매번 시험을 준비한답시고 시간을 허비했을까?' '남들은 이것도 하고 저것도 하는데 왜 나는 경험이 결핍이 됐을까?'라는 온갖 여러가지 생각에 휩싸입니다. 조금 과장해서 20대 절반을 수능과 다른 시험등에 투자했는데 조금도 성공하질 못했습니다. 왜냐면 컴퓨터, 인터넷으로 세월을 보내기 일수였으니까요. 그러다 매번 후회하고요. 고등학교때 저랑 비슷하게 공부했던 친구들은 현재 잘나갑니다. 아이도 있는 친구도 있고 공무원에 합격해서 유럽여행하고 다닙니다. 저는 방구석에서 책만 보고 이번시험도 망했구나라는 한숨만 쉴때요. 살면서 긍정적인 피드백이 있었어야 하는데 20대내내 그런게 전무했다 보니 현재의 자존감 낮은 제가 만들어졌다고 봐요. 현재 부모님 집에서 편하게 살면서 기존에 모아놓은 돈으로 생활비와 시험비만 제 돈으로 충당하고 있는데.. 부모님께 너무 죄송스럽고 늦둥이로 낳은 자식 한명이 이렇게 멘탈이 약하다는 것도 모르시고 저에게 기대는 많이 하시네요. 현재 가장 큰 고민은.. '여행을 하면서 좀 생각을 정리해볼까?' 라는 생각이 자꾸 듭니다. 이 나이대까지 외국에 나가본 적도 없고 그냥 여기저기 다니면서 생각을 좀 하고 싶은데 철없는 생각일까요? 지금이 아니면 유럽은 길게 갈 기회가 없어서요. 뭐 여행간다고 뭔가 달라질까 싶으면서도.. 주변에 유럽여행 갔다온 친구들 얘기 들어보면 뭔가 얻을 게 있지 않을까 싶기도 하구요. 1년 정도 알바하면서 돈 벌고 외국 좀 다녀올까 하는데 그러면 또 취업시기는 늦어지고.. 남들이랑 격차는 벌어지고 어머니는 저에게 실망하는 모습이 또 눈에 아른거리는데 지금 당장 공부하기는 너무 답답하구요.. 하아 이야기가 정리가 안되는데 그냥 어디다가 하소연 할 곳이 없어서 여기에 끄적이네요. 저도 처한 상황은 비슷하지는 않지만 주변 친구들이 취업하고, 해외 유학을 가고, 공무원시험을 붙고 하는걸 보면서 되게 힘들었고 그 때문에 우울증도 있고 해서 학고도 한번 더 해서 학부를 1년을 더 다니게 됐어요.
저같은 경우는 주변에 이런 이야기를 편하게 할 사람이 필요했는데 학교 상담사분이 큰 도움이 됐어요.
편하게 지내시지 않고 이런 고민을 하시는 것부터 좋은 사람이시라고 생각해요.
